Relocation of the original system

Hi, I have a TouchSmart 600-1040uk purchased directly from the manufacturer in the Czech Republic. So far so good. Unfortunately, my roommate has installed a Czech version of Win7 on this computer without telling me and create the first recovery disks, and later, I even found this new copy of system was illegal.

So I desperately wants to recover the original system installed at the factory, as I'm not a pirate. But how? The original Image is free, but there is no HP Recovery Manager is available to perform the system recovery. Microsoft System Restore tool does not work with the recovery image (shows empty folder). British partner of HP will not send the recovery disc in Czech Republic, where I live. The manufacturer is no longer a copy of the image and does not really things HP more.

Can you help me, please?

First of all the question.  Assuming that the operating system is Windows 7 or Vista, how do you know that the OS installed is illegal?

If the Czech version of install Win7 still work OK but must still destroyed, look here:

http://www.ehow.com/how_5643882_restore-recovery-partition-boot-problem.html

I know what the title says, but the instructions should also work with Windows 7.

  • Restore complete PC - either does not start or before restoration, said "the disk is defined as active in the BIOS is too small to recover the original system drive."

I am trying to restore an image backup Vista 64 is 428 GB, the drive under restoration is a Velociraptor 2x300GB RAID 0 (about 558 GB under Windows), and the drive on which the image originated was is labeled as a 750 GB drive (actually about 698 GB / 433 GB used). When I first made the attempt I got some message on the target drive, have to be cleaned by diskpart, so I did. After that, I was able to complete the restoration - but after the restoration, at startup, I get the message:

"Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected bootable media and press a key.

And under Windows, the drive does not appear. Disk Management displays the disk as unallocated space. So I added a new Simple Volume and then tried the new restoration. But now I get the message:

"The drive is set as enabled in the BIOS is too small to recover the original system drive."

Even if the restore completed successfully after cleaning, the drive is empty, and the player has more than 100 GB more space than the size of the image. After the restoration after the own, why can't it detect the boot sector; and if I try to restore after formatting, why do we say that the disc is too small? How can I successfully restore?

  • Lost the original system of Windows 7 on my Satellite L650

    Hi all
I lost my original Windows 7 system after I installed Scientific Linux 6.

I created the space for SL6 by reducing my C drive (which, in itself, creates no problems,
I went with Windows a few weeks after the shrink works normally) and
Finally, I tried to install SL6.

SL6 installation realized I had Windows 7 and installed the bootloader "grub".
with 2 options start. But the option of W7 does not work! He said "bootmgr not found."
And Toshiba (F8 at startup) recovery option does nothing.

I think that what lay SL6 average, is the hidden Toshiba recovery partition, I am confident
that the Windows partition has not (yet!) was affected. Is there a way to recovery ONLY the
initial boot sector and hidden partition?

I bought the Toshiba recovery disks, hoping to find in them a tool to do it all.
But no, I can't make a completely new installation, which will erase all my stuff.

Does anyone know a way to do this? Thank you!

Recovery image installation does not work on the way you think it should work. You cannot use disk image installation HARD recovery (F8) more now after changing the HARD drive partitions.
One way to put your laptop to factory settings is the use of the recovery disc.
You are right. This disc using everything will be removed and laptop will be set to the original state as for the first day after the purchase.
    > Is there a way to recovery ONLY the original boot sector and the hidden partition?
N ° something like this is not possible.

  • Re: Satellite A300-1MC: recovery would restore to the original system?

    The story so far...

    Laptop failed (A300-1MC)

    No available recovery disk
    Replaced HARD drive
Installed Vista using the borrowed from the previous model of Toshiba Satellite recovery disk
Installed the missing drivers-online work system without valid product key
Connected the old HARD drive using the box external usb
Launched original TRORDCLauncher on the old disk - no error

So now, I apparently have 2 recovery DVDs.

Question: Will these DVD restore to original system?

The previous Satellite was no TRORDCLauncher and come included with recovery disks

I am aware of the correct procedure-online recovery disks in order to https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu

    > So now apparently I 2 recovery DVDs.

Recovery disk would still set the laptop in the same condition as at the first day of purchase

  • How to move the original system to the SSD newly installed without an optical drive?

I want to buy a W530 and spare SSD upgrade.

I want to order one without a DVD player.

How to move the system of origin, drivers and other software for the SSD newly installed without an optical drive?

Hope someone could help me. Thank you.

The two utilities that I mentioned manage alignment automatically. Also, I photographed my hard drive, then restored the SSD. I have no clone, which means a direct copy of the HDD to the SSD.

I just went through this myself in July, using Acronis True Image 2012 to get my existing on my 256 GB SSD mSATA HARD disk image. It worked like a charm. I checked that the SSD has been properly aligned.

  • Satellite L 40 Vista Premium - cannot read the original system restore disk

My satellite L40 was bought a year ago, and so far I never needed the system restore CD. But now I have a missing system file so I will try to re - install. But my computer will not read the CD, if I insert it before starting my computer or windows Vista.
Is there a way I can download the CD to restore the system on the Internet?

    Hello

No you can't download because that would hurt microsoft license stuff. I recommend you ask a partner in your country for replacement, if your machine is still under warranty.

Please go here and find the service provider nearest to them for help.

  • backup of the old system changed the type of operating system installation

After backup all data to your desktop at home and move the backup file on the replacement computer that was running and had been activated, got backup and ran into problems.  The original pc was an OEM system with a valid OEM key and had been activated for years.  The new system is a renewed system which has an apparently valid cd and COA 'For refurbished computers' active fine and had been restarted several times after activation before the fiasco of the backup.

After that I ran the backup recovery, system was restarted as planned, but when the time came to connect to windows, we encountered a problem of activation.  He said that the system should be activated.  I went ahead and put in the key that is attached to the system (the key for PC) refurbished, but he would go through.  I checked that I read the key from the sticker correctly several times and by two other people.  He would not suffer.  Just on a chance that the backup of the old system caused a little problem, I tried the OEM key that was on the original system.  He's been through.

If the old system should simply be scrapped, I don't think anything, but it will be either made to disadvantaged youth, so I want to make sure that everything is always good about it and it is all above board.  In its current form of the key is now on two different systems.  What can I do to fix this?

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I wish I had some good news for you, but I did not...

Ordinarily, I advise to use HP recovery media to restore your PC to its original state. That would erase the entire disk, format the drive and install the operating system, drivers and utilities HP.

Unfortunately, there is no support of HP recovery related to HP for your PC Product Page. This means that the stock HP is no longer the recovery media for your PC. They store any long recovery media for older PCs.

Given that HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you should check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

    Good luck

    Hello

As far as I know, this unit was designed for the American market.
I m not 100% sure how the recovery procedure works on the American units but normally you should see 2 options; Standard recovery procedure and expert recovery procedure.

It should be necessary only to boot from the recovery cd and choose one of two options.
Well, I put t really know why you laptop hangs. Perhaps the formatting of the HARD drive can help, but this is only a suggestion.

  • OK to format the partition if not the start of the original drive SYSTEM more?

I bought an SSD for my HP Pavilion dv7 and installed as boot drive primary, the upgrade with a new copy of Windows at the same time. I use the original drive in the second slot for data and formatted the original C: partition, but does support does not on the other 3 partitions. I wish I could use at least one primary partition for another OS or as a partition backup. If I want to leave the quiet recovery partition and be able to run the diagnostics, which means SYSTEM... Can the recovery tools if they are not on the boot drive? If so, I can take the SYSTEM partition (the SSD has the active boot partition).

    Hello

Unless the Bios can access the partition HP_TOOLS at startup (which he won't be able to leave readers in the second span), you will lose the ability to run the extended diagnostics and the ability to have the bios flash run on reboot.  The bios will always be able to update, but the flash will run in the Windows environment that has more potential to cause problems.

However, the HP_TOOLS partition can be created on a flash drive or you can simply create it on your SSD - see the document at the link below on this - This is for example and the included download may not be correct for your particular laptop, then you must get this information from your own product page.
