Reminder message or call the blackBerry Smartphones?

Is it ALL WAY to get the blackberry to make a reminder beep all a few minutes for when you do not know you missed them a call/sms/mms etc. ? Or maybe even a program?

No, not in the native operating system.

Look for BBAlerts www.handango.com to get the service you need. It's a good app, I used it for years.

One of the evangelists 'Developer' RIM working outside South Africa, I think, so there should be someone local you can talk too.  If you message Mark Sohm (the RIM name you will see a lot on the forum - MSohm), with your e-mail address and it ask to put you in contact with the Developer Evangelist in SA, which should help.  You can tell Mark to ask me if he needs clarification.  Do not promise anything either but I hope that something will happen.

  • Response of the blackBerry Smartphones can not email!

Suddenly, since I've updated my BB 8520, I find I can send and receive email - but do not answer them!  Any ideas as to why?

Hello and welcome to the community!

After updates or then get email of wobbly, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • For the blackBerry Smartphones Reset network settings

N.. completely different. For your mobile network, with a strong network carrier (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

For the wireless, there is no sort directly 'reset' nothing beyond removing and reconfiguring of the WiFi network configurations. Beyond that, things as device WIPE, reloading the OS, and other very drastic measures would be required. And, important to note, I have no way of knowing if this is really necessary... you did not no matter what description of what happens, so it is not possible to understand your situation and you give more targeted recommendations.

    Good luck!

  • Cannot save the blackBerry Smartphone Smartphones SMS like any other regular phone?

I bought my BB Torch not too long ago, but it seems that I could fill up to the brim with SMS because it asks me to delete some to make room for more.

I checked online how to fixed this and everything I find is say to go to:
    Options

    SMS

Keep Messages on SIM - check no.

There is no on the torch, which is a disappointment.

Anyone know of any way to solve this problem?

    Hey mcralex,

For BlackBerry Device Software 6.0, follow these steps:

    1. On the BlackBerry smartphone home screen, open the Messaging app.
    2. Press the Menu key, and then click Options.
    3. Click on text messaging.
    4. In the Text TEXT box, clear the box Leave the Messages on the SIM card .
    5. Press the Menu key, and then click Save.
  • Message from recvd 8700 blackBerry Smartphones that enabled email accounts

    I have a 8700 Blackberry on T-Mobile. v4.1.0.346

Yesterday I received messages from the activation server for each of the accounts already active e-mail on the device.

"Congratulations, you have successfully configured (my email address) with your device Blackberry (R). You should start receive new messages in about 20 minutes. »

Another thing that happened: I have all the hidden accounts and access messages with the mailbox icon. An icon previously hidden from one of these accounts became visible.

My concern is that there may be another Blackberry device, access my accounts. It never left my physical control.

Appreciate your help with this problem.

    Thank you

    Hello whitmanrf,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

Activation congratulatory messages that you received on your BlackBerry smart phone mean that email Service books were re sent to your BlackBerry Smartphone.

An icon of electronic mail can become visible again as long as new service books were received by the BlackBerry smartphone or because of the theme settings.

    Thank you

1 limit my identity determines what your callee sees on their Caller ID.

    2. you want to receive alert messages during a call, like a tone slightly on the side of a call?

    Make this setting here.

If you don't like the BlackBerry, you might want to give him a few weeks of use to determine whether or not you're a good way with her. It is really, in my opinion, a steep learning curve a little more on the BlackBerry than many other features... in my opinion, it is worth. Had checked this or any forum BlackBerry user in advance, would have learned you that these devices are not likely registration call.

    Good luck.

  • Call failed blackBerry Smartphone waiting

One thing really miss me about this 8310 is when I miss a call, sms, mms or whatever it is the only thing that happens is the Red blinking light. In my industry (construction) that the light is useless, so I keep having to remove the phone to see if I have anything missded. I don't have sound when I receive a call or a text message but my workplace is noisey to hear it sometimes, so a reminder every min or so would be useful. My razor has this and I grew up on this subject.

Can someone tell me if there is a place for this switch?

The blackberry does not have this feature, but there is a third-party application, you can download blackberry alerts called.  The price is $ 12.95, but they also offer a 7 day trial.

  • Services of the Blackberry Smartphones blackBerry works does not (BBM, email)

    Hello

I have a Blackberry Curve 9630 and for nearly two weeks, nor the services polls bbm or email to my phone worked, and the BlackBerry logo that happens usually when it is connected to wifi or 3 G is nowhere to be seen. I tried pulling on my battery, restart, change of sim cards, logging in and out of my blackberry ID account and still nothing. I checked with my network provider that blackberry is always on, nothing. I had a look at several other positions and all the advice and tried to register my device (following this link: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?externalId=KB00510&sliceId=2&cmd=displayKC&d... still nothing, I get no message registration.)

Is there anything else I can do?

    Thank you very much

    S.

On connection management screen, click on the State of Services.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?

If it is "not connected", then you need to call Virgin and to confirm that your SIM card is always configured with the BlackBerry BIS data Plan.
