Remote Desktop Client - I must be connected to WiFi?

I just installed RD Client on my iPhone running iOS 8.1.3 5s. I have connected to my desktop under W7 PC. I noticed that it works fine when I'm on WiFi connection of my network where the PC. When I try to LTE or 4G, nothing. Have not yet had the opportunity to try from a distance WiFi, but I guess it will work fine? Does this mean that I must be connected to a network on my iPhone in order to use this app?

Thanks in advance for any help.

A Remote Desktop Client running Windows 7 can connect to a server running Windows server 2003?

  • A heartbeat of Remote Desktop Client configuration

I have two Windows 7 computers: one is located in a remote location, and the other is in my office running Desktop Client (mstsc.exe) remotely and is connected to the "remote server". I only need to interact with the server if it generates an alert, otherwise, I just need to keep an eye on the remote screen.

If the link to the server goes down due to the instability of the network or a power outage on its end, the RDP Client will not display no error until I try to interact with the RDP session - and then it will take a few seconds before the session expires before the Client determines the server does not respond and tries to reconnect.
This means that unless I noticed that the RDP window has "frozen" or I move the cursor of the mouse on it, I often can't tell I've lost communication with the remote computer.

Is it possible to configure the remote desktop client to continually test if the connection to the server is active when I a RDP session works without having me manually interact with the RDP session?

original title: DISTANCE OFFICE WIN7 PRO on WIN XP HOME EDITION SP3.

I am trying to connect to a Win XP Home Edition SP3 computer laptop from a Win7 Pro on WLAN & Gigabit network. It always brings up this:

Remote Desktop cannot connect to the remote computer to one of the following reasons:

    (1) remote access to the server is not enabled.

    (2) the remote computer is disabled.

    (3) the remote computer is not available on the network

Make sure that the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network, and remote access is enabled.

    DETAILS:

Windows XP Home Edition SP3 with RDP file Version: 6.0.6001.18589

Windows 7 Professional with RDP Version: 6.1.7601.17514

I also tried to download and install the latest RDP on the Microsoft Web site, and it starts to install goes up to 65% and then I get a popup saying:

"Remote Desktop connection cannot be installed because your operating system already has a built-in version. See all programs\Accessories\Communications\Remote Desktop connections on your Start menu. »

The Windows XP laptop has a wireless card, so I use a linksys WUSB100 V2. with my WRT610N Linkysys however Windows 7 is mostly on gigabit ethernet with router.

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to your computer before the problem?

Follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:
Update of your wireless cards and see if the problem still occurs.

    Step 2:

In addition, you can uninstall and reinstall the Device Manager wireless network card to be a safer side.

To uninstall the wireless device manager,

    a. Click Start, type device manager in the search box of start and press ENTER.
    b. Locate the network adapters and expand the same.
    c. Select the wireless connection, right click and choose uninstall.
    d. restart the computer, if prompted.

Pilots should settle automatically after the computer restarts.

Now you can install the latest wireless drivers and check if this solves the problem.

  • login screen Remote desktop showing on mac client connection

    Hello

is there a way to prevent the display of the login screen, when connecting to a Remote Desktop client workstation? The connection is already arranged with a login, so now I need to identify 'twice'. First time with AutoConnect when you click on a workstation in Remote desktop and second manually when the other customer's screen opens. This was not in Yosemite, but appeared first in El Capitan and it's kind of annoying.

I use the old worgroupmanager to control the use of USB devices. It interacts with the login screen, too?

Is there a way I can avoid this login screen?

I have a machine that is the Mountain Lion, without Workgroupmanger, and this is the normal behavior without any login screen.

In fact, it was the Workgroup Manager. You need to disable the connection to local users only, which is enabled by default.

    Hello

The firewall blocks the traffic, you probably does not correctly configured the ports and its opening.

but now I removed the password until I have find a way to connect without having this problem
can you help me with this?
I read things on empty passwords and security policy and other things, it's about connecting a computer without password
can you help me with this?
I need the boring explanation if you can
    Thank you

    Hello

You can do this, but I do NOT recommend it because in this case if someone has your IP address then could access your windows by using remote desktop. And people could use find find IP of random generator and when there is NO password can access. so please use password and the password to connect.

However, you can configure the setting to connect with empty password:

    1) go to control panel

    2 Administrative Tools)

look 3) to the local security policy

    (4) open and look for security options

    (5) then in account you will see something like "limit local account use of the empty password for console logon only

    (6) try to disable it and reboot your PC

It should work, but as I said, it could put your PC in DANGER.

By design remote desktop requires a password to connect safety precaution. The Remote Desktop user ID and password are the on the computer you want to access and control remote. The user ID must be an administrator or be a member of the remote desktop users group.

If you need create a password for the user ID you want to connect with the help of office remotely.

Computer on which is the host of remote desktop, IE. the computer you want to access remote/control? It is not clear from your description, although I assume it is the office.

  • Keeps remote desktop abandon the connection

    Hello

I have just upgraded to Windows 7 Windows 8. The main question that I have now with Windows 8, it is the remote desktop client is somehow broken for me. Whenever I use it, it blocks (i.e. I can't interact with the remote computer) and then I get the box of Pseudo-dialogue indicating reconnection it will reconnect and I return the remote access. He does it all the time (about every few minutes). Note that when I can't interact with the computer to remove it, I can still ping it very well. Clearly, it is not a connection problem.
It seems to be a problem with Microsoft Remote Desktop Client because I'm so tired, I tried 2 alternatives: terminals and mRemoteNG. Their use, never removes the connection.
However, I would like to use the Microsoft client as it is more convenient to use. I tried to copy some binary files from Windows XP or Windows 7, but they do not work properly when I try to run them, I guess it's more than a simple 'mstsc.exe' to copy (I copied c:\windows\system32\mstscax.dll thus, but it kept loading of Windows 8).
    Anyone with a similar problem?
    Thank you
    Manu
