Hi Valjohnson,

You are able to correctly install the other updates?

(a) you can check the status of the update from the Windows Update Web site or on the Microsoft Update Web site.

(b) click on view update history. A window opens that displays the updates that have been installed or that have failed to install on the computer.

You can follow this link & check if it helps:

  • A heartbeat of Remote Desktop Client configuration

I have two Windows 7 computers: one is located in a remote location, and the other is in my office running Desktop Client (mstsc.exe) remotely and is connected to the "remote server". I only need to interact with the server if it generates an alert, otherwise, I just need to keep an eye on the remote screen.

If the link to the server goes down due to the instability of the network or a power outage on its end, the RDP Client will not display no error until I try to interact with the RDP session - and then it will take a few seconds before the session expires before the Client determines the server does not respond and tries to reconnect.
This means that unless I noticed that the RDP window has "frozen" or I move the cursor of the mouse on it, I often can't tell I've lost communication with the remote computer.

Is it possible to configure the remote desktop client to continually test if the connection to the server is active when I a RDP session works without having me manually interact with the RDP session?

  • login screen Remote desktop showing on mac client connection

    Hello

is there a way to prevent the display of the login screen, when connecting to a Remote Desktop client workstation? The connection is already arranged with a login, so now I need to identify 'twice'. First time with AutoConnect when you click on a workstation in Remote desktop and second manually when the other customer's screen opens. This was not in Yosemite, but appeared first in El Capitan and it's kind of annoying.

I use the old worgroupmanager to control the use of USB devices. It interacts with the login screen, too?

Is there a way I can avoid this login screen?

I have a machine that is the Mountain Lion, without Workgroupmanger, and this is the normal behavior without any login screen.

In fact, it was the Workgroup Manager. You need to disable the connection to local users only, which is enabled by default.

  • Addition of family XP Edition Remote Desktop Services

I have a laptop with Windows XP - Home Edition.  I want remote access to this laptop to a Tablet using the Desktop Client remotely by Xtralogic, Inc.

The presentation of the product Xtralogic said, "the following operating systems have remote desktop Services and can be connected using Xtralogic Remote Desktop Client without software additional server-side: Windows XP Professional, [other deleted for brevity]."

Literature Xtralogic saye also expressly as Windows XP - Home is not Remote Desktop Services out of the box.

My question is this: the necessary Remote Desktop Services software can be added separately to my laptop with XP Home?  How can it be acquired or bought?

  • Remote Desktop connection for XP Pro to a pc Windows 7

I am trying to connect to a Windows 7 Pro pc using my Windows XP Pro computer.  I created the firewall for inbound and outbound rules to a specific port, set the port on the Terminal Server and upgraded the Remote Desktop Client in the XP box to 6.0.  However, I still can't connect to the Win7 pc unless I completely disable the firewall.  Could someone please give me a solution to this problem?

    Hello

The firewall blocks the traffic, you probably does not correctly configured the ports and its opening.

  • Remote Desktop. Why the differences?

In this case I use Remote Desktop to connect a system from Vista Home Premium to Windows XP Professional on a local network.  Still, it establishes a connection, but can behave in 3 different ways:

    1. the session starts and works very well.  After entering the password (I ask the password), it goes directly on the desktop of the remote PC

    2. the session begins, then I am taken to the login screen of the normal remote PC (what you expect to see if you were working on this PC).  When you enter the password, it then goes to the desktop.

    3. I get the blah "can not load your profile...". ", where Windows will load a temporary profile that takes you back office.  Logging and lumbering back to still seems to work, i.e. log on normally.

So, no show stopping issues, but why?  Certainly why the difference between 1 and 2?  Thoguh that you arrive at the same place, with 2, you get also present with all the other user accounts on this computer.  For my part, it is not a constraint, but what happens if I don't want to have other possibilities of connection presented?  Remote Desktop Client indicates the account to Log On with, so why present all others?  On the question of the profile, there are a lot of intel available, but I have yet to find the cause in my configuration.  It's exhausting rather than as a problem, but I would be very happy to eliminate this behavior.

  • Distorted screen of Windows 7 remote desktop printing

In our work environment, we are running Win7 Pro on workstations with monitors 24 ", and we are mode connection full screen on Windows 2003 Terminal Server that has a monitor standard aspect ratio of 4:1.  We use specific software in the industry for our company, and when we print, the text is elongated.  If the screen resolution for the Terminal Server Session on the client is configured for 1024 x 768 instead of 1900 x 1200, it prints very well as shown here:

Unfortunately, the way things are presented to the user on the screen at 1024 x 768 is not satisfactory.

We have a few (all 1900 x 1200 widescreen) customers who use software in the industry outside the Terminal Server environment, and they print without problem.  This leads me to believe that there is a specific problem in Win7 remote desktop client, or the Terminal Server itself.  Whatever it is, the display resolution selected for the Terminal Session is clearly the culprit.  In software, the print is first presented in a preview before printing, and the lengthening of the police is visible in the preview screen. I think that the software is written in C++, but I'm not 100% sure on that.  I'm guessing this has something to do with the print job will be returned on a big screen, but I'm not advanced enough to find out how or why that matters in the grand scheme of things.

I have installed the patch in KB2768741 to Win7 clients, but he did nothing to help the issue.

  • Keeps remote desktop abandon the connection

    Hello

I have just upgraded to Windows 7 Windows 8. The main question that I have now with Windows 8, it is the remote desktop client is somehow broken for me. Whenever I use it, it blocks (i.e. I can't interact with the remote computer) and then I get the box of Pseudo-dialogue indicating reconnection it will reconnect and I return the remote access. He does it all the time (about every few minutes). Note that when I can't interact with the computer to remove it, I can still ping it very well. Clearly, it is not a connection problem.
It seems to be a problem with Microsoft Remote Desktop Client because I'm so tired, I tried 2 alternatives: terminals and mRemoteNG. Their use, never removes the connection.
However, I would like to use the Microsoft client as it is more convenient to use. I tried to copy some binary files from Windows XP or Windows 7, but they do not work properly when I try to run them, I guess it's more than a simple 'mstsc.exe' to copy (I copied c:\windows\system32\mstscax.dll thus, but it kept loading of Windows 8).
    Anyone with a similar problem?
    Thank you
    Manu

A fix came out 11/13 which appears to solve the problem for me. The number is 2897602.
