BlackBerry Smartphones very slow CPU speed.

We have two BB bold 9900, we're working very well the other has very slow response to each action. even using the touchpad to navigate a huge delays. We also get the small icon of black clock all the time. There are many cases when the process is never ending and he must remove the batteery to reset the phone. Any thoughts? Thank you.

A battery pull is always recommended to take the first step.  You have done this, then I would jump straight to a reload of the OS.  Why are we so slow 9900 and the other is not?  I really have no reason for that, but the reload of the operating system is a good step to take.  Not to worry even upgrade to a newer version, sometimes the same reload OS will do (update if a new version is available is however also recommended).

To do this, connect your phone to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Click on the device at the top of the software, then click on restore.  Load the last restore point.

Let us know if that helps you.

I just bought a macbook 12 "that I love. The only problem is I noticed very slow download speeds when downloading apps. I have also a 13 "macbook pro that I use on the same internet connection and downloads very quickly.  I have not tried to download any music or video yet, so I don't know if it's just a problem with applications, but it is ridiculously slow. It's a trait of these macbooks little, or something may be wrong?

  • (Redirected) All new Inspiron 3647 desktop PC has very slow download speeds.

We live in very slow download speeds.  All other computers and devices in the House can stream video without problem.  Speed tests test our laptop Vaio 2009 to 16 Mbps download and 6 Mbit/s upload.  The Dell is the same download speed, but the download speed is 512 Kps!  It's like the beginning of the 1990s with telephone lines.  We called Dell a week ago and they told us to reload the driver for the wifi card.  The suggestion does not and we could not reload the driver and it made it unnecessary to the wireless card.  They sent us a new desktop case and put us together today and got the same results with slow download speed.  Need help with any suggestions that anyone has to correct the problem of download speed.

  • vSphere Home Lab: very slow network speed, I'm desperate

    Hello

After many trials that I have finally found the right hardware build my vsphere home laboratory.

    This is my setup:

    ESXi1

    ASUS P6T Deluxe V2

    I7 920

    24 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY

2 x Intel Pro 1000 GT Desktop Ethernet adapter

    2 ESXi

    i5-2500

    16 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY

1 x Intel Pro 1000 GT EthernetDesktop adapter

    NAS

    ASUS P7H55-M

    Intel Core i3-540

Windows Server 2008 R2 with Starwind iSCSI

    Realtek Gigabit Ethernet

I have a Netgear GS108 where I plugged all the ethernet cables over my ADSL Modem, a Linksys WAG320N

Everything is OK apart I have a speed very very slow in the network; for example ISO 2k8r2 server transfer I take 30 minutes

After many trials, I decided to start from scratch, I just powered on my ESXi2 machine and reinstalled ESXi 4.1U1 from scratch and I installed the Client vSphere for my Client PC which have a Gigabit Ethernet card and is also attached to the switch Gigabit however, speed is still the same, 2/3 MB / s.

The strange thing is that also the same speed very slow, I created a Server 2008 VM and installed iperf to landmark of network and I get about 600 / 700 Mbps, so I really don't know what I can do.

I replaced the ethernet cables, also tried to connect the cables directly to the modem and also I tried with another switch, but the result is always the same.

He is now a cable or switch problem because I tried to create an iSCSI drive and transferred a file of 10 GB of my Client PC to the iSCSI disk and I get about 120 MB/sec so is full Gigabit network speed.

Also, I installed FileZilla FTP Server on the ISCSI server and tried to download and upload a file of 10 GB and the speed is never 115 / 120 MB/s.

Really, I don't know what I do that, I'm really desperate.

Thank you very much for your help.

Routers are NOT created equal.  There is a business reason switches cost $10,000 - $20,0000 dollars.

Netgear router / switch is just a very BASIC.  It's not classy company.  That's your problem.  Get a better switch that you don't need to spend $10,000 but probably a few hundred... a GOOD show for home switch...

  • Sony xperia z2 smartphone very slow loading

    Hello.

    I have a Sony Xperia Z2 phone.

Now recharges very very slow. What should I do?

    Thank you.

    Hello, geo1392!

Thank you very much for your answer! Wow, it takes 4 to 6 hours to recharge your phone? I don't think it's normal. The maximum, he should take is probably 2 or 3. When he is around 70 or 80, this is less than an hour, I think. Once, I had one of my phones Sony power drain, but to load completely new, it certainly didn't take 4 to 6 hours, so it might or might not be normal.

It is good to know 100% and that battery normal.

I think the app that you are talking about is called Smart Connect, and it is a very good software! This app is made by Sony, and if it makes your phone costs more quickly, then you should definitely use it! This app is completely safe to use!

If you have any questions or if you need further assistance, do not hesitate to contact Sony Mobile Communications, because they are always happy to help!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones coming slow retro

    Hello!

I just did the last OS update.  Now, I note that when the LCD on my 8330 will Dim (after the time-out period), it is much slower to come back.  Before the update I could press the trackball and it would immediately be up to 100% of the light, then dim properly.  Now it is up to 0% when I press on (I can barely see), then it comes slowly to an appropriate brightness.  The net result - it's just very slow to wake up when I need it.  We are talking about a few seconds... but it is a real pain!

He has NOT done this before the update.

    Any thoughts or ideas?

    TIA

It wasn't the microSD in need of a reformat either.  However, I just gritted my teeth and just downgraded to:

    4.5.0.101 device software version / platform 3.2.0.51 / OS 4.5.0.77 Verizon Wireless

Problem disappeared.  They must have introduced some changes that has been either slow the system down to the low enough to protest the delay or there was some bad interaction with something on my machine/all applications and data.  Well, I wasn't going to use the new features of the OS 4.5.0.138 build anyway.

  • BlackBerry Z30 very slow receiving and placing calls

My Z30 accuses the blow when you place a call and also to answer an incoming call... I would say that there is a 10-20 second delay... very annoying, did anyone else encounter this problem? Is there a solution to this problem?

I had this problem too and restart had resolved. You can try one last thing. Press and hold the power button until the red LED appears, the device restarts and the blackberry logo. Then check it again if the Dialer is still slow

P.S.: Do not try the restart process if you are on a low battery due to some black screen issues that some users have on this forum.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone slow - activity monitor - the file manager/Explorer

In fact, I have 3 questions that are more or less related I think.  (1) I installed a lot of apps since getting my 9530 Storm a few days ago, especially to try.  Since then, occasionally when I try to do something, I'll see just the icon of "transformation" (the circular icon with the one hand forward like a clock) for a very long time.  It is not always the same app or thing I try to do.  I suspect that * part * of the problem is that I was not closing apps - that moving from one to the other, and he left running in memory to the bottom of things (in particular, I suspect PocketDay and Internet browser for it).  Keep the battery solved the problem every time.  This leads to my next question: (2) is it a kind of application or activity monitor app which will let me know what programs are juice?  I saw a kind of app somewhere that is supposed to kind of manage the memory and do a "battery pull reboot" without physically pull the battery.  Maybe that's what I'm looking for.  (3) is there a kind of thing edge file manager/Explorer?  I know there must be an app for this, and I have no problem any display on my lap as mass storage.  I'm talking about something from the BB itself.  Recommendations for a good?   Thanks for any comment on this.  I will do this kind of things slowly, but thought it was a jet-out for some ideas.

    Hello!

    Lots of advice... start here...

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media - is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:
    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB05461

On some devices/OS levels, enforcement and the memory of the device are combined into "free file"... This is, IMO, a little more difficult to administer that you can't see really how AppMemory you have. Nevertheless, here are some tips to use:
    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB15345
    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB14320
    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB14213

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. Rather, to close an application, press the BBKey and select 'Farm' or 'Quit'... that forces the application to be closed, freeing for your new use the resources it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

Now, to your question about memory management and a reboot Batt-Pull simulated... There is indeed an application for the part... of the latter it is called QuickPull and it is available via AppWorld or directly from Steelhorn. I have the pro version and it works fine - except that he can't perform the reset if the device is locked with a password. But I can work around that. I restart my storm every night and allows me to stay in good shape... full batt-tire is a rare thing now (zero not... just rare).

Regarding the management of files embedded... Indeed it is. Launch the Media application, but do not select any of the individual applications. Press the BBKey and select Explorer... you are now in the native file Explorer.

    See you soon!

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones very low performance after impossible to install the game (8310) necessary to reset the phone?

Hello! Today, I tried to install a game using the Desktop Manager. I can see the icon in the menu, but does not (module not found) and the Desktop Manager does not see the game installed (or in options-advanced-applications)

The problem is that now the phone has very low performance and I can barely use it, it's too slow.

I think that the phone must be reset to the settings to factory or something.

Can someone help me to do this?

    Thank you!

    Hello

What I was doing to completely wipe my BB. I wrote this before and it printed.

If your device does not work, perform a backup now if you have not already done save the file to a place and a name that you can easily locate it on computer.

I then uninstalled DTM and then deleted all the other references to BB/Rim in Windows Explorer, thus eliminating the operating system for the BB to the computer in order to ensure that the version I want to reinstall a new version uploaded.

Get the latest Desk Top software DTS)

and install it on the computer.

Get the latest version of the operating system

    http://us.BlackBerry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    and save it on computer.

To erase all data on your BlackBerry device, follow these steps.

    (1) download JL_Cmder http://www.4shared.com/get/oqP9V-2Q/JL_Cmder_v19.html

    (2) install JL_Cmder to the computer.

    (3) double check you have already saved the BB. If you DO NOT, you will lose all data.

    (4) make sure that DTS is closed and plug in the BB to the computer via USB

    (5) to reach the JL_Cmder on your computer and double-click it to start. Now, it may take a few tries to connect, so persevering until he does.

    (6) on the first screen, press a key to continue.

    (7) now, if your device uses a password, enter it now. If not, press "N".

    8) press 4 to start CLEANING

    (9) press on 'Y' to continue

    (10) now type "blackberry" to continue

    (11) on the BB, you see a white screen with an error "507". Don't worry, that's what you want! You are now ready to install the operating system.

Launch the new Desk Top software on the computer

    (1) on the homescreen of the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, click Device > update my device.

    (2) click on view the other Versions. Click the version of the new OS you previously downloaded.

    (3) click on install. The DTM will install the OS and then provide you with a list of applications to install. If you have had problems with an application, do not install it.

Do not disconnect the device until the whole process is finished and restarted the device.

After 10 minutes, restart again by removing the battery slot while tension and leave for a few minutes.

Leave it again for 10 minutes. You should now have a fully functional BB!

And when I enter a destination for navigation, he made several attempts to trace road and especially returns with the message: "cannot find your GPS position. Move to a location with a clear view of the sky view, and then try again (1013). Even when I'm standing outside, under a clear sky and open, I always get this message...

  • Removal of blackBerry Smartphones Hoursgalss, slow, SMS

Since last week, my Alltell 8130 was the removal of my message history and call for papers. Boring, but I could ignore that.

For these last two days, however, the phone has handled things extremely slow, constantly updated to the top of the hourglass icon and basically stalling for several seconds at a time on features ranging from fromtrying to check the text / call logs, at the opening of the internet browser, control electronics, even incoming / outgoing calls. Call button the half of the time that the phone does not block for 1-20 of secodns after having clicked on the end.

Is it a software update or something? Nothing has been wise to changed settings, and the only change in the typical use is that I started to surf the web and check e-mail more frequently on the phone.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones very unhappy

I received notification of an update to Facebook and went to Blackberry App world to download the update.  Since then, my blackberry freezes up and won't let me open facebook.  I have not been happy with the speed of the internet since I have this unit 3 weeks ago and thinking about leaving blackberry altogether!  Any ideas on how to "fix" this so-called update?

    • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.
    • Download and install Facebook again... remove it options > Applications > Add it.
    • Reinstall from www.blackberry.com/facebook using your BlackBerry browser
  • BlackBerry Smartphones very turned the battery life?

I don't know if this is related to this person load problems (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=9500&thread.id=292), but the battery on my Storm is very short.  I've got two days now, and before I returned to the House after being outside all day, the battery is dead.  The previous two nights, I've had it load for more than 8 hours before you leave home.

It's not heavy use.  I left it in a locker for 8 hours on Saturday, and when I got back he was dead.  I had to do House to recharge before that I could check the messages for days.

    Certainly, this cannot be normal.

a number of things to try. Keep it in the host when not in service and also ensure bluetooth is not on (enabled) when you don't need. I loaded mine Friday, played with it on and outside since and only recharged the battery today (Sunday afternoon).

You would like to "auto turn off it ' when you're in bed, which should help you save for the time you are at the top and on the stack. Final thought, most mobile phone (not lithiul ion) need a battery charge complete continuous 16 to 24 hours before disconnecting the charger - I suppose that you did when you got it?

    I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry smartphones! SLOW CALENDAR ON 8530 AFTER UPDATE TO 5.0.0.734!

    Hi all

I was looking through this forum, and I have not met anyone mention anything to this topic, so I hope I do just something wrong...

I've recently updated OS from my Berry to 5.0.0.734, and since I did it, my calendar is simply unusable. When I click on the icon to enter the calendar, it crashes just for about 10 to 20 seconds (depending on which is open) and won't let me do anything, even go out... Total crash... and then once he enter the calendar, it crashes again before it allows me to scroll to enter an appointment. In total, he is probably going to take me 20 to 30 seconds to get to the point where I can start typing the actual appointment details.

What have I done? Is there a cure? What I do back? I never had to push back a Berry before, it's that something simple? Really sucks!

    Problem solved...

I was in the previous version of the BlackBerry operating system (OS: 5.0.0.508) and all my pains have disappeared. I just couldn' is to live without a responsive phone...

For some reason, the recent software update failed miserably, or is miserable to start. I recommend to keep 5.0.0.508 and won't 5.0.0.734.

In any case, I was able to restore my recurrances endless in my calendar and it's as soon as I click on the calendar on the homescreen application icon.

Bifocals, I really appreciate the time you took, but two days was long enough for me without a decent phone... now I am a proud and happy owner of BlackBerry Curve again.

I hope that we can discuss again on the road... just not on the calendars being slow... hehehe.
