  • Failed to load custom camera profiles

I use the two 3.5 Lightroom and Photoshop CS5 on a system of Windowx XP - Pro 64 bit with 8 GB of RAM and a lot of disk space.

I use a X-rite color Checker to generate profiles of cameras custom whenever I do portraits or other color photo critique sessions. The camera profile is usually placed in the

    «Documents and Settings\...» {user...} Data\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles application 'folder.

When I try to apply a profile to either lightroom or ACR created profile one is not visible in the list box dropdown camera profile. When I check to see if the profile exists in the appropriate folder, it does.

I used color profiles before and have always been able to create, and then select a profile. Now I'm more able to do that. I'd rather do not re-install all of my Adobe software since then I have to reinstall all updates and plug-ins.

How can I get lightroom and ACR to see these profiles and use them?

OK I understand my problem and it seems that it was a combination of things.

First: X-Rite color checker cannot create a profile if any of the colors in the image channels are cut. Exposure via the Camera Raw/Lightroom setting and save the file with a DNG do not help the changes in the metadata and not the raw file. I tried to convert a TIF file after making the setting of the exhibition and then to a DNG, it enabled me to then save it as a DNG that X-Rite software then allowed me to create a profile without errors. However, this new profile was not visible in the menu of the camera Calibration.  The reason for this is that in the file real .dcp, instead of having the type of specified device, TIF.

Second: The type of embedded camera (Canon 5 d, Nikon D90, etc.) in the profile must match the type of camera in the metadata of the image you are trying to apply the profile for. Apparently, Lightroom/ACR, only to see profiles that correspond to images taken by the same type of device. This is logical, since my two different bodies have different profiles. If you shoot with two different bodies, you need to apply profiles separately in lightroom. You must sort the images by camera type, then apply/sync profile applicable to each camera camera separately.

Third: I found a solution to the question of my overexposed color checker, but unless you are comfortable with the binary .dcp for editing the file with a binary editor, I suggest you only add 1/2 to a complete stop during the filming of the color checker. The problem is that red typically clips before any other color, and since your meter is an average of 18% (including the incident meter in the studio), it is possible to red clip while the Green and blue are fine.

  • Develop custom camera profiles not no projection in Module: profile of the camera in LR6

  • Custom camera profiles have stopped appearing in LR4.3 and CR 7.3 on a MAC

I have been using color corrector passport to create color profiles. I created 3 today alone, without any problem. The fourth is missing. I tried several times to re-record it he does not appear in Lightroom after a full reboot. The color Checker app allows me to see the file before it stores the files. I see that it is a folder called "cameraprofiles. I can see that the files are there. LR4 does nto pull them up once I restart it or the entire computer. The folder that contains the profiles is hidden I think because I can not find it directly. The location given in another announcement of nto work on a Mac.

For some reason any profiles started getting saved in an older folder (LR3). I reinstalled the plugin twice because it failed the first time. I do not understand why he was working at a time and then started to save files in the wrong folder. I never found the file using many other wires. Threads cover the issue for users of PC very well but not well covered for MAC users.

The solution to reinstall the plugin Color Checker Passport until you can see it in the export dialog Panel. It works from the Panel but do not work when you open the application of the PAC from outside LR4. (Remember that you must restart LR4 or Photoshop to see new profiles).

  • Remove the calibration of camera profile

I experimented with ColorChecker Passport of XRite and created several camera profiles.  I have one, I am satisfied and I'll delete the rest of

    C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles

    as described elsewhere.

QUESTION: What happens if there are still images that use one of the deleted profiles?  Will they get just "Adobe Standard" applied, or this (reference to non-existent profile) will cause a problem in the catalog database?

I decided to try this by the movement of old profiles out of the folder (do not remove) with Lightroom does not, then from Lightroom

The answer is that the image returns to the camera's ' Adobe Standard' profile.

  • How to remove Beta camera profiles

At some point, I loaded in LR 2.0 beta camera profiles... Now that I have updated to LR 2.5 all camera profiles have been included in the software, but the beta versions are also there... How can I remove the Beta profiles (using LR 2.5 on Windows 7)

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles

  • LR 4 and DNG camera profiles custom... they are not incorporated?

I have a few days colorchecker passport.

    my workflow:

import the. Copy as DNG memorycard CR2 raw files in lightroom.

create a profile DNG camera with the colorchecker passport (LR export-> xrite colorchecker).

then I choose the created profile camera and I set the whitebalance.

everything works fine... as it should.

My problem is, I Don t want to have DNG profiles 100, I will of course create as much on time, on my hard drive.

I think that it s messy and it s also not save very striking patterns only in the form of separate files, in case you lose the profiles.

I thought that the camera profile can be embedded IN the DNG file.

I thought that the profile of the camera is written in the DNG files when I rewrite the metadata in the files... but apparently not.

It seems that the DNG camera profile is only incorporated in the DNG image file when I EXPORT the DNG file with the dialog box export LR.

    for example:

I choose the profile from the 'MY 5 D MK2 PROFIL_1' camera for a picture and then save the metadata in the DNG image file.

Then I delete the camera profile "MY 5 D MK2 PROFIL_1" of hard drive.

the next time I open LR and select the same image... the cameraprofile returned to the 'adobe standard' and the profile that I created has disappeared.

When I EXPORT the image in DNG, then even after I deleted the DNG cameraprofile "MY 5 D MK2 PROFIL_1" from the hard drive... the profile is still in the DNG image.

that s what I want... but I have to export all the files as DNG files.

I really want to get rid of this extra step.

I hope that my English is good enough, so you understand what is my problem.

can anyone share a light on that?

is this the only way to ship from the camera or im DNG profile do something wrong?

    Intel i7 2600 k, win7 64 bit, 16 GB ram, LR 4 final.

Instead of simply to save the metadata, you must choose the command preview DNG was updated and the metadata located in the Photo menu. Simply save the metadata is only to save the settings, but integrate the new preview and the DNG profile.

  • GO CRAZY! ACR camera profiles

When I open a raw file with my d700 in ACR, I get all sorts of custom from the dropdown options camera profile. When I open a file with my D750, they are all gone, except for the half dozen standard (Adobe, neutral, Portraits, etc.).

    WTF I'm missing here?

Profiles are specific to each camera model, so if you bought for the D700, then you would probably need to buy them, once again, for the D750, if they still exist for this camera.  Addition profiles there are a set of predefined settings that also apply in conjunction with the profiles, if I remember correctly.

  • How to create a camera profile that works with a JPG image with my color chart to check inside? [was: color Checker chart.] Really need help]

I got a color chart to check. It came not with any software whatsoever. I shoot my images in JPG format. I know it's not really ideal but I'm on a tight budget and don't have the money for a digital SLR cameras that shoot raw. Is there anyway that I can always create a camera profile that works with a JPG image with my color chart to check inside? My table also includes RGB values below each color. Maybe I can match each color in the photo these values manually? If so how is this done?

    Thank you

    Bryce

I've never seen software that does what you ask for JPGs, only RAWs.  The main problem is that any profile or adjustment is calculated according a JPG of a particular chart photo would apply to the other JPG photos with the same white balance.

Jpg does not use "camera profiles" anyway in Lightroom, the profile is always integrated.

There is a product that allows to calculate the HSL cursor offset values given a JPG photo their own table owner who looked like a color checker, but had two lines reversed so the software could not be used with a standard-checker color, unfortunately.  Now their table has twice as many patches (48), and looking at it on their site I'm not too sure that it does not always work with JPGs or if she's just raw files, now.

The graphic and software are called SpyderCheckr of Datacolor.  There are various software that do different things, but none are using a ColorChecker, so having one is mainly a loss until you get a camera that can take raw photos, so keep a humidity and temperature controlled environment as much as possible until you have the right camera.  You can probably use the grey patches to adjust exposure, but that's all.

Today you need not a digital SLR to have raw photos, well.  My phone Galaxy S6 with the last update of Marshmallow and the software of camera update will take photos in format raw DNG in Pro mode which I can create custom profiles camera to use a ColorChecker, although the camera is really good in itself, so when I found everything first he could make DNG I took a little but now, I usually just use the camera to make the jpg unless the shot is really important and the lighting is not too hard.  I think that S7 phone's camera is even better.

What kind of camera do you have?  Sometimes, there are firmware hacks that allow the camera to shoot raw format even if the standard camera cannot.

  • LR3 LR4 camera profiles?

  • New camera profile is not "appearance" in ACR, but it does in Lightroom

I recently created a profile of the camera to a Nikon D200, using a graphic picture of X-Rite Colorchecker and the chart feature in the DNG Editor.  I exported the camera profile.  When I go into the Calibration tab in ACR 5.5, the new profile does not appear in the drop-down menu with the other profiles of the camera.  However, when I go in the development of Lightroom 2.5 module, the new profile appears in the menu dropdown there.

I am running Windows 7.  Browse my root drive I find that if I look in the directory Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles (referenced in the book of Fraser and Schewe CS4 Camera Raw as a location for profiles Vista) I can't find camera profiles, and when I place the new profile here it does not always appear in ACR.  When I look in the directory ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera\Nikon D200 I see the regular profile set of camera for the camera, as well as that I created, but as I said earlier, the newly created profile does not appear in the list of ACR.

A side note: I did a few tests with the camera profile names.  I added "XX" at the end of the name of profile Nikon Vivid (not post), and then this profile no longer appears in the list of profiles ACR.  I removed the extra letters and then the profile reappears in the list of profiles ACR.  Seemed strange behavior for me.  I also noticed that the profile that I created with the DNG Editor is significantly smaller that the others are provided by Adobe (28K against 110 k).

Hope someone has a suggestion for me.

Not sure why the profile does not appear in the two ACR and Lightroom when correctly in user-level file... should be. Also note that the reason the folder user level and not the ProgramData folder is only the admin level users can write to the ProgramData folder. Level user folder is the folder proposed because most any level the user can write to the user folder.

Regarding the relative size, DNG Profile Editor and created Adobe DNG - EP written profiles simplified while vender Adobe profiles are highly tuned and adjusted. I suspect that this makes them more...

Just a note, you exit and then restart the two _and_ Photoshop bridge after writing the DNG profiles for your level user, correct folder? I ask because some people have the bridge works without realizing it is running. Sure that the connection of ACR requires both apps either quits and restarted (you should not restart the computer if).

  • Download camera profiles where?

I had to reinstall Lightroom on a new boot drive with an upgrade of the OS. Downloaded Lightroom 2.3 on Mac OS 10.5.6. The specific profiles of my cameras have not download. I was able to find and download the beta2 profiles only.

If I open a raw or dng image in the develop module and go in the camera Calibration Panel, I see only the RTA and the beta2 profiles, nothing specific camera. Where can I find and download specific camera profiles?

    Thank you.

What camera? Profiles for many cameras are built in, but not labeled "Canon."... «or «Nikon...» "etc. He would say 'Camera landscape' etc.

I would recommend also to remove the beta because they are either duplicate what is there or replaced.

  • How can I remove selected Custom view (s) of the event viewer Console tree?

I looked at the MMC Help on create and manage custom views.

I can't find a way to remove the custom filter views in the Console tree, which can be found on the left side of the event viewer.

How can I remove selected Custom view (s) when they serve no more values?

    Problem solved

I asked this question because I was unable to see what was going on in the event viewer and I couldn't find help in mmc HTML Help. However, now I see what's happening and I can give you a solution to my own question.

    Cause

If I connect to the computer as a user with administrator privileges, I am able to use the event viewer to create a custom view filter that can be used by all users who have access to the event viewer. If I fix remove a view filter custom Console tree, I can't delete it unless I'm logged in as the user who created it.

    Solution

    1. Log the computer as the user who created the custom view.
    2. Start Event Viewer
    3. Use the right-click of the mouse on a custom view filter selected in the Console tree, open the drop down menu.
    4. Delete appears fourth in the bottom of the menu if and only if you are logged on as the user who created this view.
    5. Select Remove to remove the filter to custom view.

If Delete does not appear in the drop-down menu, then it may not possible you connect as the user who created the custom view.

  • I just plugged my camera and uploaded new photos for my Creative Memories Photo Manager. Now when I go to the Safely Remove Hardware my camera does not show... only my external hard drive.

I have a new computer.  We have been plug an external hard drive to move my photos in the new computer.

I just plugged my camera and uploaded new photos for my Creative Memories Photo Manager.  Now when I go to the Safely Remove Hardware my camera does not show... only my external hard drive.  I'm afraid of getting my camera.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thank you
    Oumar W

Creative Memories Photo Manager probably ejected your camera after you import the images. Check the default settings and change them if you prefer something different.

If your camera is not displayed as ejection, it is safe to remove it. Damage to the file system wouldn't be possible, but not certain, if he had written active file or buffer not released when the device has been deleted.
  • Lightroom can't change the photos of mark IV 5 d in 1DS camera profiles

May I ask on Lightroom camera profiles? I can't change the photos of mark IV 5 d in 1DS camera profiles. When I tried to change it, the color saturation is very low, as black and white photos.

Before I used Adobe DNG Converter & DNG Profile Editor to make my own Canon 1DS camera profiles. The effects of the 1DS the color profiles that surrounds the peoples were adorable. It was a success with 5 d mark III.

But now, using the new camera 5 d IV. I followed the steps of old, using DNG Profile Editor to open it and then choose Canon 1DS DCP to export. The effects of saturation of color does not become as before. It turns very low over the DNG Profile Editor, when I tried to export a new dcp 1DS file in lightroom, looks still very low color saturation.

I would ask if anyone has come across such a problem...

I hope that someone can help and can solve my problem.

    Thank you!

someone already answered my question. The answer is: in the DNG profile editor just add + 1 saturation (any button of saturation), it goes back to normal.

    Thank you all!
