  In the old version of Firefox I was using, it was easy to choose from 3 options for the bookmarks toolbar. display icons only, only the display names, display names and icons.

  I chose to display names only because it saves space.

  I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, and now it seems impossible to remove bookmarks toolbar icons. (Others have asked about this, but the answers were unnecessary).

  I reinstalled an old version of Firefox and still I can't get rid of the icons.

  Please help me to get rid of the icons in the bookmarks toolbar!

• How can I unlock folder when applying the option is grayed out?

  I used an HDMI cable to connect my computer to the TV.  My screen went black.  I finally got my computer back screen, but some got locked folders.  I dropped the idea of linking my TV and computer because the TV is old and I don't want two monitors.

  I just read on unlocking using properties files and the tab share.  My Documents folder contains the my music (unlocked) folder and a folder my music locked (locked).  The same thing with my pictures, and my videos.  I discovered this when I tried to open an image in Paint and got this error message.  "The location is not available."

  As far as I KNOW, the lock on the Folders icon has nothing to do with the use of an HDMI cable, but the way in which the folder is shared (or possibly who 'owns' the folder).  I've seen several explanations and methods to remove the icon of the lock, but unless it's really you cause problems, I suggest doing nothing.

• How can I import from Outlook 2007 when the option is grayed out?

  I'm moving from Outlook 2007 to Thunderbird. All is well until now, but I need to import my old mails from Outlook. When I go to tools > import > Mail I get options for Eudora, Outlook, and Outlook Express. Eudora and Outlook options are grayed out. The option for Outlook Express is available, but who isn't even an option for me, since I am on Windows 7.

  I've read a few articles, and they point out that you must always have Outlook installed and configured as the default e-mail client.   Due to virus I had to rebuild PC using the RECOVERY partition on hard drive. All windows updates have been applied to date (August 2011). Before the virus problem (July 2011) WAS able TO SELECT THE "MASTERED" OPTION WHEN YOU are GOING to USE WINDOWS TO BURN a VIRGIN DVD + r. NEW once AGAIN, this WORKED BEFORE, NOW THE MASTER OPTION IS GRAYED OUT.  I have a brand new DVD + R blank and tried several of them thinking it was the disk (I've used this same brand (magnavox) DVD + R 4 years now never this problem of the "controlled" option is grayed out.) I use the same DVD burner which came with the PC and it allowed me to select the option "Mastered" last month (July 2011). I am using Windows HomePrem 32-bit OS (originial system that came with PC and this allowed me to select the mastered option last month. I applied all the updates Win at present. I have no other problems with the PC. Once again, driving the nail: this WORKED BEFORE, last month on the exact same hardware and the software/OS (Juillet2011), then why this option appears GRAYED out now?  This question has been asked before and 'experts' simply stressed totally USELESS MS pages showing how to select either under control or direct - I DO NOT NEED THIS HELP as I ALREADY KNOW HOW TO SELECT either option and what each is for.   Try below to reinstall the game of solitaire spider on the computer.

  (a) open the Control Panel from the Start menu.

  (b) in the Control Panel, open programs and features .

  (c) note: If programs and features are not available, change the view by large icons at the top right of the control panel.

  (d) select features on or off Windows activate in the left column of the window programs and features.

  (e) clear Spider solitaire games list and then click OK.

  (f) click on restart now to restart the computer.

  (g) reactivate Spider solitaire games list in Control Panel again.

  Check if the problem persists.
