Remove locks

Hello

I have a Lenovo THinkpad T61.

http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/T61-and-prior-T-series-ThinkPad/how-to-replace-loose-broken-hinges-on-th...

I'm trying to remove the screen locks. But it is very tight and very difficult to dislodge even with a tool. Is there anything I missed?

I didn't remove the screws indicated in no.: 10 and no.: 14 in the url above. Some of them are not present in my T61 also. But I think I can remove locks even without removing the screws.

Please suggest. Thank you.

No, I'm not sure it's because of this. I also broke locks because of traction in the wrong direction or by using too much force
