Remove members

Hi all

There are a lot of accounts to my outline that were never used and is never used. What is the best way to remove them from the sketch?

Thank you

You can use a rule to load to load the members you want to keep and use the remove unspecified more option to remove those who are not in the source.

If you like doing things manually you can remove the edge through the Regional service.

  • Cannot remove members by using the OutlineLoad utility

I use OutlineLoad.sh utility to remove members from a dimension that we are trying to do a cleaning of the contour. I created a simple file as follows

    CC, Parent, operation

    cc1033, cc1000-rollup, Delete, level 0

When I run it via OutlineLoad.sh then I get "Deletion of the 'cc1033' failed because the Member is used in a form or associated with a form validation".

When I checked the use to show his Blanck. So I did not have this be used everywhere. I even tried with cc1032 but same result. There is also no configuration of security for this member

    Show Usage.JPG

This can be a problem because we are @Descendants (CC) in shape and he has no good way for this show up in the use of the form. ?

My bad I was checking the wrong app... There was a form that was an ad-hoc grid that was using each of the dimension CC members. After I removed the ad-hoc networks, I could remove a member.

  • Limit on removing members of workspace

    Hello

I wanted to know if there is a limit on the number of members who can be removed at a time of a dimension in a classic planning application. I know that there is a parameter in the utility of loading of contour that would eliminate the entire dimension and load members from scratch since the file metadata that you specify. But there was a better way to remove members required outside assistance from the fill contour utility parameter and the removal of the workspace?

Try us to clean up our metadata and also tried to remove some members of a dimension, but it looks like it takes ~ 40 min for the removal of ~ 3000 sets. Does that seem reasonable?

Also, I see some strange and unexpected behaviors when performing these operations. When I select a parent member (who has ~ 3000 members of children) and hit delete, it would show as he does something in the status bar of the browser, but after awhile it would disappear and the page is not refreshed. It appears neither the success message, or it shows any error that is misleading because he tells me if he did the deletion or if it doesn't have the button Delete. So when this happened I went and checked the dimension and the Member of parent level was always there without deleting. Then I tried to delete a different parent member and then encountered an error after a certain time the notice-

An error occurred during the processing of the page. Please check the logs for more details. * (Can you be it someone please let me know what is the name of the log file that I need to look at and where?)

Another time, that it threw an error -

You try to change the data that has been changed by a user on another server. Wait a few seconds and try again. If you continue to see this error message, please contact your administrator. *

So basically I see all kinds of different things happening and the deletion process is going smoothly.

Please share your ideas on this.

    Thank you.

There should not be a limit of members who can be removed and removing the full size is not the only option by using the outlineload utility you can use the following properties with the operation column in the metadata file

Level 0 to remove: deletes the Member if it has no children.
Idescendants remove: deletes the Member being loaded and all its descendants.
Descendants of remove: deletes the descendants of the Member being loaded, but does not remove the member itself.

    for example

    Operation of the Parent entity,
    E1, entity, remove Descendants

  • Clear data or remove members?

    Hi all

I have the dimension of time as hierarchy

    Year
    -The quarter
    -Months
    -Date(01-01-2011)

We have used to do incremental load. Now, we have the data modified at full load and faced with the problem of PRODUCTION with duplicate members.
The hierarchy now looks like this
    Year
    -The quarter
    -Months
    -Date(01-01-2011)
    -Date(Jan 1 2011 12:00AM)
We have data from 2007 to the essbase cube.
We can remove all the data and load again, but in the database (SQL), we have data only from Q2-2009. If we delete we cannot load the data for 2007, 2008 and Q1 2009.
Duplicate members are present in the Q2 2009 to date in essbase application.

Can you please let me know how to remove members duplicate to the title of the TIME dimension or how to solve this problem.

    Thank you
    Alain

If duplicate members have no data required against them then it's alright delete them of EAS and then rerun the routines of the environmental impact study.

  • Problems of removing members in EAS ASO

I am trying to replace certain members and hierarchies in cube to ASO through EAS. There are 2 on 14 hierarchies that I'm not able to remove. When deleting (with click right, delete) on these 2 hierarchies, or one of their members, I get one of two results, 1. the blue spinning wheel hours, or 2. A warning ' EAS server does not. The 2nd result is followed by EAS crashing and restarting of the s. Any ideas?

  • Impossible to remove members from the planning

    Hello

I'm on a project where the customer uses Hyperion planning 4.0.5.2, Tomcat 5.0.28 & Essbase 7.1.6.7 on Windows 2003.

In planning, there are some redundant members in the entity dimension that are not required by the user. That is why those that should be deleted. However, when I select one and click on the button Delete, the status bar appears at the bottom of the screen. This progress for some time and then remains constant at a point. The Member is not deleted. I will appreciate if someone could put in light of reason and offer a solution for the same at the earliest.

    Thanks in advance
    Pragati

You could take a backup of sql db app planning.

    Stop planning
Delete all the records in HSP_PLANNING_UNIT_LOG
Delete all the records in HSP_PLANNING_UNIT
    Start planning

You really need to remove all records of HSP_OBJECT and associates

    HSP_PLANNING_UNIT. PLAN_UNIT_ID will have a matching record in HSP_OBJECT. OBJECT_ID

Find the records to HSP_OBJECT identity card, you must remove first, but you will need to delete records last (after you remove records of the unit planning tables)

    See if that helps

  • Remove members in the dimension of the version

    Hi all

I am trying to remove a few members from the dimension of the Version, but I get an error message indicating that the version being deleted is used in a form. Now, we have many forms, so try to find out what form does this member would be a painful process. Is there a way by which I can find where the Member is used and in what form.

    We use Hyperion Planning 9.3.0.1.

    Thank you and best regards,

    AD

    Hello

Simply remove it where it is named explicitly in a web form definition.

Go in Administration > Dimensions, select the dimension of the Version, then the Member that you want to remove. With which has highlighted, click the view use button, this will launch a box that can be used to show you where the Member is used explicitly in the web forms select data forms in the drop-down list and click go.

It may be the case that the list continues on several pages, so be careful, you get all the.

    Hope this helps

  • Remove members from the APEX_COLLECTION

    thread closed

    Hello

    Use something like:

    SELECT
    APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1, SEQ_ID, 'CHECKED') "Delete",
    SEQ_ID, C001
    FROM APEX_COLLECTIONS
    WHERE COLLECTION_NAME = 'PCOL'

Which affects the SEQ_ID values for the checkboxes.

Then create a button on your page to do the deletions.

Finally, create a process of PL/SQL that runs "after Submit' and is triggered by the new delete button. The PL/SQL code should be:

    BEGIN
    FOR x IN 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01.COUNT
    LOOP
     APEX_COLLECTION.DELETE_MEMBER('PCOL', APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(x));
    END LOOP;
    APEX_COLLECTION.RESEQUENCE_COLLECTION('PCOL');
    END;

As the page will only present the checkboxes that are checked, the G_F01 will contain a table only these items. Thus, a loop in the table and use DELETE_MEMBER to remove the items with the selected values from the SEQ_ID.

Finally, again sequence the collection had permanently deleted items.

I did all that on my test page: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=12053:4

  • Problem to add/remove members of planning

There is a problem when we tried to add a member to the title of the hierarchy of entities dim manually. He said the Member already existed, but he did not. Then we saw see who appeared, but I can not enter the folder or delete it. Message systems is "Please select a member before performing this operation.
We are not able to edit, same message. Now how to remove? Never seen that before.

While trying to remove the member using HAL goth the following exception:

The following error message relates to record 1 in the exception file.
com.hyperion.planning.OptimisticConcurrencyException: you try to change the data that has been changed by a user on another server. Wait a few seconds and try again. If you continue to see this error message, please contact your administrator.
0 records loaded, 1 rejected records.
Rejected records were written on C:\HAL\Exception.txt

I guess you tried to restart the application web planning to see if that helps first.
If this does not help, then the Member may need to be deleted manually (I can't say for certain the information given)
If you can not remove it then it also with a value totalling at Oracle as they will probably provide the exact steps you must take.
Or you could restore the application of planning from the previous day.

  • All the members (but 1) are removed from the entity dimension in planning and deployed to essbase. -What are the data deleted in essbase so? / The data can be restored by restoring the entity dimension?

All the members (but 1) are removed from the entity dimension in planning and deployed to essbase.

-What are the data deleted in essbase so?

The data can be restored by restoring the entity dimension? EPMA the entity dimension is still in tact.

It is unclear what exectly arrived, but looks like a change was made in the dimension entity planning (not EPMA) and then deployed (successfully).

In essbase, we see that the entity dimension has only one member left for the appropriate plan types, as in the planning.

If you remove members and then push that yes the essbase data is deleted, if you need back then you will need to go back to your restore process.

  • Remove a Member

We have a group with berries PS5000, PS6000 (1) and (2) PS6100 (2).  PS5000 units are now out of warranty and we want to get our data out of production out of these units.  (We can gen their in the future for the storage of level 4 or something like that.)  The 3 remaining members have enough storage to support for these two members of the guarantee.  I have a default storage pool.  Firmware is v5.2.8.  RAID 50.

My research says I can choose to remove members of the interface and the unit moves out of its data for the three remaining members and be reset to the factory settings.  I guess, it will be terminiate it is as well the iSCSI connections.   Apparently, there will be no data loss with this process. (?)  I'm looking to have this research checked for me and is it really as simple as that?  Should this be done out of hours?  One at a time too, probably.

    Thanks for sharing knowledge

    Hello

Something I like to do, instead of directly delete, move it to a new pool.  This will leave all the data behind, moving connections iSCSI for the other members as well.  Once in the pool temp, then Yes select 'Remove member' and it will reset to the factory settings.

I also suggest upgrading to 6.0.8 there are many improvements and with the release of 7.x support 5.2.x firmware is easily pay.

    Kind regards

Problem: one of the members of the child is not aggregate to the Parent cube ASO

Here is the hierarchical structure of the ASO.

    At ~ Labelonly

    b + shared member

    C + Shared member

    Aggregated Expectated result: A = 150 USD

    b contribution 100 USD

    C contribution 50 USD

But total shwoing associate for A is currently 100 instead of 150 USD.

Then, I tried to remove members of 'b' then no value does show for A which means Member 'c' does not participate in the aggregation.

Please let us know if anyone is facing the similar problem

One member of the label will always be equal to the value of the first child.  You need to remove to get a sum

I use one out of the box of demand for labour. I have les.500 patches applied. What my question is while I'm trying to remove members in bulk under the cumulative employees new members I tried shift-click and select a collection of members. Although as soon as I click shift and new members is original member is more highlighted and the new Member is now highlighted. I think it is a bug. I wanted to know if someone had a similar problem trying to remove members in other dimensions. I don't see the option to run the operation to remove members from the custom dims (employee or work).

You can run the utility outlineload with column operation

Add Remove Descendants in operation. If you just want to delete the 0 level, you can use delete Level0
