REMOVE STUBBORN PROGRAMS - REMOVE ALL TRACES OF PROGRAMS

Hello

Sometimes I struggle to remove the programs in the usual way - Control Panel - programs installed, etc. Sometimes programs refuse to uninstall, and sometimes they ask for administrator rights (I am the only user and have account Admin.)

Is it safe to use an "aggressive" uninstall program - such as IObit Uninstaller - or the "deep cleaning" potentially cause problems.

MS offers an alternative?

Thank you

  • Remove all traces of IE8

    Hi all

    I use a portal based on the web for my work, and the portal is only compatible with ie7. I deleted the ie8 update, and for all purposes useful, ie7 has been restored. Help / about Internet Explorer shows it as ie7.

    However, the portal should I access always said that my browser is not compatible. Also, I've been to a few sites Web Browser Version Checker and they show that I am still using ie8. Of course, there is always some sort of indicator of residual ie8 that these sites are grateful. I saw this link - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/957700/en-us#diditfix2 - and there is reference to the removal of certain registry entries. I don't want to play with the registry if I can't as I have had disastrous results in the past!

    Please someone has suggestions on how to completely reset the browser to ie7?

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  • How do you remove all THE Java code of Vista before a Java reinstall.

    I have (Microsoft Security Essentials) has recently detected viruses in my tree of Java.  While I think that the problem was managed by MSE, I still want to remove completely all my machine Java code prior to a relocation of a pure set of Java.  It seems that Java would not provide you with a removal of Java (like MaAfee) do this, and the only code available tool is the standard Microsoft required uninstall code.  I want to remove all traces of Java code, and I don't usually use (do not trust) of 3rd party code that you find on the Internet, but if anyone has good experience with one of them, I would like to know.

    Even if the uninstaller code seemed to work, I found a lot of leftover Java files and folders left behind.  For example, there is a Sun\Java\... tree located in the AppData\LocalLow directory.  I would like to know why this code was left and whether it is safe to just delete.  I don't like just big clear code because there may be a registry entry based on the code, which could cause another problem to me (even if the Java code is supposed to be uninstalled).

    In the meantime, as an alternative, I renamed all Java directories that I can find.  Roughly the same and about as good what remove Java directories, isn't.

    And finally, I have a Vista 64-bit system, so which implementation of Java should I download/use. When I uninstalled the Java code, there is an updated version of 32-bit (Version 6, 26 update in the list of programs), as well as an outdated version of 64-bit (Version 6, Update 13 instead of Version 6, update 26) in the list programs.  These work together.   I shouldn't have to download both, I have to, or I should.

    And one last comment.  I've been running for a few days now without any Java installed on my machine and do not encounter problems or errors due to the absence of the code.  I know that many of the Applications that I use, use javascript, which I think is a little different that the standard Java code.  So what's the problem here.  Have I just not met a Java-application or is there more parts left Java in the machine I don't know or Windows excuting part of the said code.  I need to Java, I don't.

    roninrr

    Yes, Java is bad enough to remove all its files when uninstall you it but things left to do no harm. You can remove them if you want.

    There is no relationship between Java and Javascript, with the exception of confusion as well as the fact that both languages look a bit.

    You can probably do without Java. Java has become one of the biggest goals for malware recently. I uninstalled Java of my computers a while back I found I was taking more time now know to use it. I was only access a Web site regularly used and find a substitute for it. I could leave uninstalled, and see if you hit what he really needs.

    If you decide to reinstall, the 32-bit version is all you need unless you use Internet Explorer 64-bit (which you shouldn't).

  • How can I remove all the info from WMP rocket?

    Hello

    Recently, I synced my rocket to WMP and ripped CDs. But now when I plug my rocket in everything I see when browsing the content are the CD I ripped and not the music files that are also out there (who are not torn, just mp3 files). I went to the 'end sync partnership', a box came and I clicked 'yes '. But when I plug it again all I can see is the CD I ripped just once again. How can I remove all traces of my "rocket" from the computer? I'm out of ideas.

    Thanks in advance, I hope you can help and that I explained myself properly

    Hi, thanks for your response. Yes, I'm looking through windows Explorer. And the USB mode is automatically detect. I don't know what means MTP or MSC?

    but you're right, I don't care if I could see all the files at once.

    The problem is that when you use Auto detect mode the computer chooses what USB mode to connect to the computer. So, if your using WMP it uses MTP mode, but if your use drag and drop will use MSC mode, and when you connect to your computer you can see what has been added in the mode that you are connected to. So if you connect in MSC it is unclear to which has been added to PSG. If you want to add a lot of files with WMP, I'd say he bets on PSG here and let (you can use the drag and drop in PSG too).

    To ensure that you can see everything that you can format your drive and then go to settings > system settings > USB Mode > PSG > press the Center button, and then reload the player.

  • Can I program a script to remove all the ISOs datastore on all virtual machines?

    I found a "bug" that if backupexec creates a backup of a computer virtual with a mounted ISO, you can not restore VM to a different host, even after that another backup ran again with the ISO is more fitted. SO whether a backup runs on Monday night with an ISO mounted from the data store and I'm going to come in and chop the ISO and Tuesday backup runs that always, I can not restore the backup from Tuesday to a different host. Also, I should mention that these hosts do not share no matter what storage between them and I can restore to the host of origin without any problem. I'm working on that symantec, but it seems to me that the best response is no, not an ISO mounted when the backup starts, but I can easily predict that sometimes in the life of our environment that someone leaves an ISO mounted so I'll try to find a medium schedule a script that will remove all ISOs mounted in virtual machines. There is a work around by removing the virtual machine in the inventory and recreate the virtual machine with the existing VMDK file, it means having to stop this server whenever someone does this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • htmlText remove all line breaks

    In my program, a user can enter any type of text using a RichTextEditor. The entered text has all its illegal xml characters replaced (< with & lt ;) etc.) This string is placed in an xml document. A component is custom, then receives the xml document, converts the html code in its original form and the applicable as the htmlText of a property control of text. This used to work properly. I need string conversions because there are some "metaStrings" which is not replaced according to certain criteria... which is the string {$DATE} would get replaced by the effective date when loading at a later date. As I said, used to work, and I had no problem display of text exactly as the user who created it. Now, for some reason, when I set the htmlText property, all line breaks are removed, of any type. < here > < p > < / p > < /li > < li > for fleas. Remains of formatting, has increased the font size, color, etc., but there is no line breaks.

    I have my chiseled loading code and the following output:

    public static void loadHtmlText(textControl:Text,_textData:XML,_replaceMeta:Boolean_=_false):void
    {
    trace ("loading text html in a text component, loading", textData);
    var html:String = textData.Html.toString ();
    trace ("after parsing a string", html);
    If (replaceMeta)
    {
    trace ('replacing');
    HTML = html.replace(/\{\$DATE\}/,textData.Date);
    Add sequences additional meta here for replacement
    }
    trace ("after the replacement", html);
    textControl.htmlText = html;

    textControl.validateNow (); force a commit

    Uh, oops, all the strings wordwrapped, makes it impossible to read. There were three blocks < P > < / p > adopted in
    each of them said line 1 line 2 and line 3, respectively, and each of them must be on its own line.

    After forcing the validation of the text control after setting this string, it has that one tag < P > < / p > with all the text inside... 2Line 1Line line 3.

    Any ideas?

    It worked before, I did was move the parameter text in its own function, insead of a function called by the method of my custom component's data provider.

    Thanks for the help.

    Wow, almost three months later, when my work schedule allows me actually to take over this problem, and I have the solution :-). It turns out, I don't know why, or if same Adobe knows about the bug, but if you have fonts using style sheets for all controls on your application, that is, I have a style statement request where I placed the police then redering text html of the text control is bug, usually just remove all line breaks. Why, I have no idea, he is simply. However, the same bug does not occur in the TextArea component. Still, I don't know why, seems silly to me, but as the solution to this problem, simply create a component TextArea, backgroundAlpha styles set to 0, its borderStyle to 'none', set the editable to false and boom, you have a component of scrolling text, which doesn't render the text html incorrectly.

  • If I delete the Firefox profiles folder in Appdata, which would remove all my Firefox personal information such as passwords and browser history?

    Sometimes I have to bring my laptop to the computer store, but I always make sure to remove all the programs like Firefox information, just in case.
    But I read that Firefox stores all your information in an Appdata folder.
    So I was wondering, if I had to move this folder to an external hard drive and remove it from the computer, would all my information from Firefox are deleted from the computer, or is it still going to save this information elsewhere?

    And if it removes all the information, if I move the folder that I save on an external hard drive on my computer, Firefox will have access to all this information again?

    Firefox will create a new profile folder if you try to open it without having a profile folder

    Yes, you could just copy the content and then delete the original content, leaving the record. Then overwrite the content again with the contents of your backup.
