Remove the ASP HELP file

I did an application file sharing, and the description and filename are stored in my Access db, when I delete the recordset for the file I also want to delete the actual file. I am able to delete the file with the full path and name of the file as a variable,
with this code:

< %
Dim filepath
FilePath = Session("file_del")
Set filedel = CreateObject ("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
filedel. DeleteFile ("C:\localhost\CallCenter\EMPLOYEE_FILES\" & filepath), True
Set filedel = nothing
% >

I put the file name in the session variable file_del on the page that deletes the Recordset.
But I want to make it work on my hosted site without having to modify the path to my sites, I did this code:

< %
Dim filepath
FilePath = Session("file_del")
strPhysicalPath = Server.MapPath (filepath)
Set filedel = CreateObject ("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
filedel. DeleteFile strPhysicalPath, True ' line causing the ERROR
Set filedel = nothing
% >

But the error just file not found.
If I just display the variable strPhysicalPath on the page without the delete action, it displays the correct path.
How can I get the strPhysicalPath to read, I tried every way I can think

filedel. DeleteFile strPhysicalPath, True
filedel. DeleteFile strPhysicalPath &, True
filedel. DeleteFile (strPhysicalPath), True
filedel. DeleteFile ("" & strPhysicalPath & "'"), it's true
filedel. DeleteFile (& strPhysicalPath), True

But none of them does not work?
Any help would be great

After a rest and a closer, I realized the mistake was in the line of mappath, was not including the folder as the files. strPhysicalPath = Server.MapPath (filepath) was wrong, so, I added the name of the folder: strPhysicalPath = Server.MapPath ("EMPLOYEE_FILES /" & filepath) then the file is deleted. so the complete code is:

< %="">< br="">Dim filepath, strPhysicalPath < br=""> filepath = Session("file_del") < br=""> strPhysicalPath = Server.MapPath ("EMPLOYEE_FILES /" & filepath) < br="" >="" set="" filedel="CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")"> < br=""> filedel. DeleteFile (strPhysicalPath), True < br="" >="" set="" filedel="nothing"> < br=""> %>

You can delete these files without any problems. Just make sure you stop the services of the application first, remove files, then start the application services.

  • Can I remove the old update files that have already been applied?

Good evening! I just a quick may be a dumb question... when I've updated my computer, if I remove the before update... like when a service pack number, as for example I downloaded the number of service pack 2 What do I do with the number of the service pack 1? delete it?

Depends on the operating system - Windows

Please note this is only for Windows XP and is not on Vista or Windows 7

Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$ who reside in C:\windows (hidden files) are window Hot difficulty updating folders/files) can be removed safely (providing ever, you wish to uninstall the updates). I recommend you leave these records for a period of at least one month to make sure that the update works correctly.

These updates can be removed individually or together. To learn more about the update/s go on:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/xxxxxx
NB: XXXXXX = the actual number, not to mention the "Q" or "Ko."

Once you have removed the uninstall folders/files, then go to control panel, add/remove programs. Select the title of the corresponding Windows fix on the folder/file of the patch you just deleted, and select Delete. You will get a Windows error. This is because you deleted the uninstall folder/files. Simply choose OK and the entry will be removed from the Add/Remove Programs list.

    For Vista and Windows 7

The update uninstall method in Windows Vista is quite different from that in Windows XP.

Uninstaller for each update folder no longer exists in Vista and the uninstall information is stored by the Volume Shadow Copy service.

After each update, Volume Shadow Copy service backup only the updated files.

So with Vista, it's a differential backup, rather than a full backup files for uninstall
    in Windows XP.

This safeguard mechanism is used to save disk space.

So basically, you are unable to manually delete the uninstall it from the computer.

  • The 11g using uninstall tool to remove the old binary files?

    Hi all

I know that with 11g, the preferred method for deleting old binary files is to use the uninstall tool (in/deinstall/of-install $11G_HOME). However, is it possible for me to remove the old binary files using this tool?

For example, my 11g ORACLE_HOME (that is to say that I want to keep and use) is /opt/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/db

And I have the following binary files on a particular database server:

    Oracle@myserver:/opt/Oracle/product > ls

    10.2 11.1 8.1.6.2 8.1.7.1 8.1.7.4 9.0.1.0 9.2.0.2 9.2.0.5 agent
    10.2.0.3 11.2.0.3 8.1.7.0 8.1.7.3 8.1.7.4.32 9.0.1.1 9.2.0.4 9.2.0.6

As you can see, I have binary files dating back to before the beginning of time (8.1.6, nice) and I wish I could clean it carefully.

I tried to uninstall (just under the checkonly, to ensure that it "sees" the old house) 10.2 binaries using the 11 g uninstall tool and got the following error:

    /opt/Oracle/product/11.2.0.3/DB/deinstall/deinstall-Accueil /opt/oracle/product/10.2/db - checkonly
Verification of the required files must be treated and...
    Please wait...

ERROR:-House does not have to be defined for a deinstall linking in an ORACLE_HOME.
Uninstalling the current House is supposed to.

Any thoughts? I absolutely don't want to uninstall the current home!

    Mark

If you want to get rid of the old the ORACLE_HOME, then you must use the corresponding version of uninstall and must be run from the ORACLE_HOME.

The best way to remove the ORACLE_HOME is to deattaching the old ORACLE_HOME with inventroy and remove this old House.

  • Context-sensitive help in the combined help files

The same position is also in the forum of WinHelp.

How context sensitive help working with the master - situation of the external help files?

    Here is my scenario:

I have a master's degree. HLP, which connects to 5. External HLPs. I connected the. CNTs and index in the Master. I gave all the output files (6 sets of.) HLP, CNT. NEWSPAPERS and GID files) to the programmer and asked her to put them all in a single directory. Everything works well for the table of contents in the Master. HLP. In other words, these external link sections are listed in the table of contents and the content displayed is selected. However, when the application attempts to display the HCS to a subject in one of these related HLPs, the user receives the error 129 (the subject does not exist). But these CSH to a topic in the Master. HLP works very well.

The programmer told me he puts the code in a registry for the CSH file look for the master. HLP only. And he cannot create multiple registry files or put multiple lines in this file of registry to search for multiple .HLPs.

The application is developed in the form of Oracle and is hosted on a Windows XP machine as a Windows application. I use RH X 5. The project is a HR Word project.

Is it possible to generate one. HLP to include everything? If so, how?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

I found a solution for my situation this morning.

Just brought these subjects with the ID of the map and the map file to the Master.HLP. If I need to mod a few links to external links, exit works.

Just need to get some sleep.

  • The ability to differentiate the Pro help files

We seek to use the RoboOffice X 6 Pro to publish the help files on a server, but have a bit of a lack of knowledge which I hope some of you people will be able to butcher. We have about 20 support product files for the different products that we have published on our server. So far so good.

Our understanding is that the HR Pro reports do not distinguish between the various help files. In other words, if a user is looking for a help file help topic has and it is not found, an account of this attempt is recorded in the engine. If another user search a help topic in the help file B, and it is not found, an account of this attempt is also recorded in the engine. However, when the report is run, the two attempts are reported, but he is unable to tell the difference between the two help files.

This hypothesis is correct? If so, the only way around this would be to buy multiple licenses for each help file and publish them in different places?

As suggested by ChetZeshonski, Adobe RoboHelp Server 6 acts in the same way. A separate database (requiring a separate license) would be required to obtain separate reports. Here's a technical Note which goes into a little more detail.

  • Help! Deleting files in the local folder removes the Mac HD files.

After having "achieved" remote folder together, all folders on my desk and all the folders and files related to them (in thousands) appeared in the files of my Local folder Panel. And each of them had a character more next it. Worse, deleting one of these files delete the actual file to my desktop and Mac HD. What can I do?

The + means that it is a folder, click on it to see the files that it contains.

DW does not store the files, just some organizes and works with the files on your desktop, so to delete a file in DW it will remove your HD. This is the expected and correct result.

When you define a site, you must create a folder root for your site to store files (do not use your desktop folder). If you do not create a folder of root to work from, I could see all your office supplies including accidentally in your site. If this is what happened, you need to redefine your site: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-dreamweaver-cs5/gs01-defining-a-new-site/

Everything that was deleted should be restored from a backup, if that's what is happening.

  • Can I safely remove the Windows.old files?

What's up guys?, I have a Compaq Presario supplied with the Windows Vista operating system, 32-bit. I backed up all my drivers on DVD and I downloaded a clean copy of Vista using an ISO on a DVD burner. I reinstalled the new copy put in my original product key, and he agreed. I reinstalled my drivers and all seems to work fine. I transferred all my data, mp3, jpeg, etc. for Flash readers and/or new programs on the new OS. The reason for the new OS was a virus infection which partially damaged the registry.  I really want to keep these files in the system for obvious reasons. Can I safely delete the files "Windows.old" and what would be the best way to do it?

Stop disconnect the external drive before you delete the catalog releases and select Remove from the disk.

Otherwise, you will need to manually, delete them externally or reimport then them select all, make sure previous import is selected, Photos and then delete and remove disk.
