  I caught a thread several days ago, but I want to start a new. What is the safest way to remove a data store? Poster said that it removes the lun from VCenter. An answering machine for the post explains how VMware and Cormac advise unmount and detach and then they did not, but the lun would be then deleted on the side of the table. Is one better way rather than the other? VMware recommends unmount and detach because the removal of the lun has too much IO in the table? Maybe he's zeroing in on the blocks?

  • It is a program to AutoPlay or AutoRun?

  I suggest you open the editor from the registry on your computer and check in below location if the old mobile entries are listed. To open the registry editor follow the steps below:

  a. Click Start.

  b in the start search box type regedit and press to enter.

  (c) in the registry editor, navigate to the following location.

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\KnownDevices

  or

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers

  d. Locate the old entries from mobile device to the above address.

  If you are able to find the entrances to the location above, you can click with the right button on the mobile device entries and remove entries. After you delete the key, restart the computer and verify if they appear in the list of AutoRun again. Before you remove the key make sure that you back up the registry keys.

  My last laptop was Satellite P20. It's a bit larger similar unit but with the same screws. It is not recommended to use screwdrivers not original but I did. Please don t that, because of screw causing damage.

  You can easily remove the memory modules.
  I think that the Bay is placed at the bottom of the unit.
  Remove the screw that is blocking the Bay, and you will have access to the module.

  Here is a video of how do this on another Satellite L500 laptop. But the procedure is not very different on Tecra R10
