ENVY 15 laptop t: remove the back of the laptop (aluminum housing) ENVY

I am wanting to add an SSD 2.5 "to my computer laptop but how do you get the back without damaging the metal case?

Remove the finished background by being simple (once you know the method.)  Remove the screws exposed by using the screwdriver "Star".  Under the rear rubber mat, there are additional screws to remove.

Second added SSD drive Bay 2.5 ".  This required HP special drive cable and disc support/support.  (Edit: make sure you use spares list online and not with the computer which have been exceeded and a previous generation unit documents.)

Additional disk is used for the user files main SSD is for programs.

    Hello

Did you know that it's a job for parts of authorized service provider ? If you wish, for the RAM, try it please:

    1. turn off the computer. If you don't know if the computer is off or in hibernation, turn on the computer and then stop it through the operating system.
    2. remove power from the computer by disconnecting the power cord from the computer.
    3. disconnect all external devices from the computer.
    4. remove the battery (see battery on page 27).
    5. remove the optical drive (see optical drive on page 28).
    6. remove the bottom cover (see low cover on page 31).

as mentioned on page #38 of the following record:

Display HP HDX X 16-1370US Premium Notebook PC goes black but will come back by changing the angle of the screen. An external monitor works.  I think that it is a loose connection or frayed wire and the desire to remove the back casing of the screen.  I can lift the bottom but the sides and the top seem to be bound more than just a snap tight fit.

I took a screwdriver blade thin and directed to the rear of the screen and applied pressure of lifting.  The back is free and come off that way.

  • Envy 15 Notebook PC: Remove the battery

    Hello

I Envy 15 laptop and I'm having a hard time finding how to remove the battery. I sometimes develop the machine freezes and I need a way to power down without waiting for the battery to run out. I remove the back of the box of the computer very well, but it seems no way to remove the battery. One site (a review of the urge) says that there is a special tool to use but did not describe the tool or how it might be used. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben

The battery is not removable on the Envy 15 series because they are bolted to the floor on the controller.

To perform a hard reset, turn off the power, unplug the power adapter, and then hold down the power and buttons of beats for 8 to 10 seconds.

  • Is it normal to remove the protective screen of the Mac laptop

Is it safe to remove the protector from the computer screen mac laptop?  The screen is cracked, and there is a lot of air bubbles; It's on laptop for over a year.

If the screen is cracked, I imagine that the screen protector is now the fragments broken in place. I suspect that you will have a worse screen if you remove the cover - it can make other parts of the screen is not locked firmly to the screen. You will not be able to apply a new cover, if the screen is damaged - it spreads upwards again once the surface is not flat and will be difficult to clean.

If you decide to remove the right cover, back up everything first on an external drive. The display may stop working if you are unlucky or heavy right-handed.

I think that it would be preferable to replace the broken screen.

  • Difficulty to remove the door of Pavilion g6-1d11dx laptop

I saw the online service manual, and it says to remove the battery, loosen the two captive screws that fix the door to the computer. I did it. Then I'm supposed to be able to remove the service door. It's not going to.  Then I watched a video for a newer model, and he says to slide the battery release while removing the service door. I did it, push the release of the battery more than all the way, but the back door still won't come out.

Here is the service manual for your laptop: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03094202.pdf

Is there some kind of trick to go out this door?

Moreover, the screws, but they don't come out. I guess that's why they are called "live captive."

The reason why I need to open the door: to replace the memory. There may have been a problem of overheating that caused memory to go bad, I'm guessing, but not sure about that. Which would affect opening the back door? I guess overheating, because when I do the memory diagnostic when the computer first starts, it goes. But if I do 10 or 15 minutes later, she fails.

    Hello:

It is simply difficult to lift the door.

See this related post... and the other links I posted therein.

  • HP Envy 15 k046nd: Envy 15 k046nd how to remove the keyboard (shift of collage and key)

    Hi all

    Short version:

Does anyone know how to remove a single key on the keyboard without breaking? (or if it is still possible) I tried some things, but have failed.

    Long version:

Unfortunately, I spilled lemonade on my keyboard last week. I cleaned it all that quickly, and nothing is technically wrong. But after 2 days some keys on my keyboard started to stick very bad, especially the entrance and the shift key. They still work, but it's very annoying. I have tried lifting below them and cleaning, but that has not worked, and I also can't get down them. I looked for a way to replace the keyboard, but I have to essentially take the computer laptop all apart + it's expensive. I hope someone can tell me how to down the different keys without breaking!

    Thank you

    Leon

    Hi there @leonsmits,

Welcome to the HP support community! I read your post and wanted to tender hand can help you! I read that you want to remove the keys of the keyboard because they hold and you want to clean.

If a key is physically stuck in the down position, you should not replace your laptop. Many keyboards have keys that can be removed by inserting a knife to butter under one edge of the button and gently lifting upward on the upper and lower edge. Please NOTE: To avoid damaging the cushion under the key, insert the knife to butter only 1/8 of an inch under the edge of the key

After having removed the key, using a buffer with alcohol, clean the underside of the key and the key on the keyboard slot. Put the key in the snapping it back in place.

Here is a document for you called portable keyboard troubleshooting. There is a section in this document, called a laptop key stuck. This section will help you to guide you how to clean these keys.

If the keyboard doesn't have keys that can be removed, you may need to replace the keyboard or laptop service.

  • How can I remove the keyboard from a HP Envy dv7t-7200

Hi, as the title suggests, I can't figure out how to remove the keyboard of my laptop, I unscrewed everything inside and removed the DVD tray, press the hole to lift the keyboard and the corner rises well, but two-thirds along the way the keyboard seems to be ensured by a tab or a lock , I guess there is something I'm missing, something I have to press to help completely free the keyboard, I think that there is a tab that is clicked, the manual mentions nothing about it.

    I read this:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-hardware/removing-keyboard-from-HP-envy-dv7-4000/TD-p/3230343

My problem seems to be substantially the same as his, unfortunately, the video who said his doubts is private. Can someone help me out here? I don't want to break the keyboard and I'm desperate, I saw tons of videos on other models, but they don't seem to have this feature. Will you please reply as soon as possible because it is a delicate task for me.

Thanks in advance for the help you provide.

I assume that you have the Manual:

    Manual

See page 61. The sides of the keyboard have a small flange that goes under the "lip" of the hole in the lid of the top of the keyboard page. Get a spatula plastic under the edge of the keyboard and move around where you can pop out over the lip. He sticks in there a little and you can fold the keyboard a little to get him out of the opening. It'll probably take a little more force you have been willing to apply.

  • difficulty to remove the network wireless to my laptop

Hi - I'm unable to remove the network my laptop wireless. I have windows Vista Home premium on a Dell Inspiron 1525. I need to delete the list of wireless network in order to re - install (due to changes to the security settings). When I try to remove it, it disappears, but then within 5 seconds it appears again, like a ghost in my computer. Help, please

Perhaps, he keeps coming back because you're connected to the Internet.

I assume you mean: network and sharing Center, manage wireless networks, one of the networks on this list, your right you click on the network and clicked on delete network.

Well, if you click Properties, you can change the security settings.

If you were logged on to the disconnected from the Internet and then you can remove it and if it works you will see it come back.

But he will always be there even if you don't see it.

To remove it completely connect to the Internet with another connection, not one you want to delete.

Open the network and sharing Center click on customize, click on merge or delete network connections, select the connection that you want to remove and click on delete. This removes the registry.

If you are unable to connect to the Internet to do this follow these steps:

Press the Windows Logo key and the R key to open the run.

    type: regedit, click OK

Navigate to: HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT / CurrentVersion / NetworkList / profiles

Click on one of the profiles below to view on the right side. Look at the name of the profile to make sure it is the right one.

When you see one you want to remove a right click the highlighted one on the left side and click on delete.

  • my laptop is divided into 2 profiles. How can I remove the 2 profiles without deleting the programs in profiles

I want to remove the 2 profiles that divides my laptop. I wish well for my laptop one without loseing computer programs that have been added. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 2650

    Oh

Here is an answer from another forum posted by Rick Rogers:

"There is no method of merging the accounts, simply choose one or.
others and save the data of the impeachment.

Start and connect to one you want to keep. Open Windows Explorer as
Administrator (click right/run as admin) and take ownership of files in
the other profile that you want to save (under your registered profile). You may need to go to start / Control Panel / folder
Options/display/and check the box to see hidden and system files to do (if you do not, you will not miss important information - in particular about your programs). Move the
files you want to put on your user profile. »

There are some files that you should not move - they are documented in the following article: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile (which is very close to what do you except that you are not from a user account fresh but one that already exists).

NOTE: Before removing the old profile, I would make absolutely sure all your data are moved and accessible, and that all your programs work correctly.  The time to solve a problem, if there is while you still have available data - not after it has been deleted.  Frankly, I'd let the old profile sitting there for a few weeks or more, just to be on the right side (if you have the space, and I suspect you do).

Here is more information about the permissions you need permissions in its own right and to take ownership of:

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  You can change now switched to read-only (even if the main folder indicates that they are always read-only - you can access yourself as the owner).  You can keep them in read-only to other users, customers and administrators even (although they can support themselves and access, if they wish, and it is really not that you can do to stop it except protect the file with a password by using a 3rd party product.)  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.  To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Windows 7, cannot remove the burn files after back to the top

I have a 64 bit Windows 7 laptop. A year ago I started a return upwards to put on a disc. The backup failed at the time because I ran out of records to put on (had no idea that it would take as much!).

Since then I tried to delete these temporary burn files from the F drive, but every time I click on the option, it breaks down and wrote files are used by another program. I went through and individually deleted most of them, but I still have a few huge to get the judgment and cannot remove the program (86), or on the desktop to the top, mean that they are used by another program.

I burned a CD of all these left during the backup of files and that worked, but the files are still sitting in my drive F, I still can't delete the temporary versions... its taking a lot of space and I got the bsod a couple of times.

I also tried folder in the start menu and delete the temporary files in this way, but it did not result in the F drive.

I tried to rename the temporary files so that I could remove them too, but not to chance it.

I have disc clean up all the time, this doesn't always help with the F drive.
