  I suspect that there is some method built into the apple/windows/icloud interface the program ask to use delete. Punching through in other ways might disrupt some catalogue. Here are two methods that you can use to do it anyway:

  • Restart the computer using safe mode, and then rename the Junk folder to something else.
  • Keep pressing F8 when starting so that you can start the computer in Repair Mode, and then open a command prompt. Now, type these commands and press ENTER after each:
    C:
    CD \users\apple
    "My apple account" ren "my apple folder.unwanted.
    (of course, you must use real names)

  Now reboot normally and check if things still work as they should. If they do then you can delete the folder after a few days, using one of the methods mentioned above.   With pop ups offering cat etc. support looks like you have some hidden malware/spyware. Download MalwareBytes and make a scan complete/clean. The free version works fine, no need to go for the pro version, unless you want to.
