Remove Windows browsers to default list of host Safari browser

I am running Windows 7 in Fusion 5.0.2 on Mac OS X 10.8.2. In the past, I was running Fusion 4 and Windows XP. I can't delete previous Windows browsers in the list in the list of default Mac OS Safari browsers (under Safari preferences). It looks like this:

safarimenu.jpg

Is it possible to modify this list now I am no more 4 Fusion running? I disappeared in Fusion preferences and settings of my VM and unchecked all boxes that I thought might do that, but without success.

Thank you

Jan

Run the terminal.

/System/Library/frameworks/CoreServices.framework/frameworks/LaunchServices.fram ework/support/lsregister - kill - r-domain local - domain-domain user system

Then restart the Finder (from menu of the icon Apple-> Force Quit...--> Finder revive left) or disconnect and connect again.

If I can't remove Windows PowerShell, I can not test compatibility of Vista so I can't use the upgrade to repair the operating system.

Thank you, if you can help, I know how to use CMD to delete PowerShell 1.0 but it cannot be used for 2.0 and msicuu2 cannot remove updates, if using the MS means do not work, I hope you can tell me how to use software from other producers to remove Windows PowerShell 2.0.

    Thanks again.

Well, AutoCAD would come after AVG (in alphabetical order).

BurrWalnut was probably right, but there are actually several things that cause this problem if AutoCAD is involved.

Supposedly, people AutoCAD fixed ths some time ago and my notes are a little old, but here's what I have:

Before making any changes to your registry, save it with this free and popular tool:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/ERUNT.html

According to me, the problem is the index of the icon for AutoCAD is wrong or the file icon is missing and we can deal with either.

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Regedit

Click OK to open the registry editor.

Navigate to where is all the stuff to add/remove programs:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\

Find what I think is the entrance of AutoCAD:

    {5783F2D7-0101-0409-0000-0060B0CE6BBA}

You can be sure, by looking at the entry DisplayName on the right side to be sure it's AutoCAD. I hope that you don't have to hunt for him.

Check the value of Exposeicon on the right side and if it is - 1, double-click the value and change it to 1 and then exit regedit. If it is not - 1, tell me what it is.

    Restart and test.

  • How to remove Windows Defender from Vista?

Anyone know how to remove Windows Defender? It is not on the list of programs that can be uninstalled. When I try to remove it from the tree, I get a message that only a "TrustedInstaller" can remove it.

It's been nothing but trouble I got my new PC in August. I spent in Avast and MalwareBytes, but I can't stop the system to get scans in tenacious Defender. I wanted to get rid of it because it will not update install. It keeps telling me that there are updates available, but the progress bar comes in with a small piece of the execution and the stalls.

Updates Windows continues to tell me it is another Defender update available and also stops at install.

Looks like Microsoft could do a better job of coordinating its products. I'm ready to throw the new computer and become a ludites.

    Help!

I uninstall Norton before that I installed Avast. I went to 'Services' and 'arrested' Defender. Then I went to 'Properties' and 'Disabled' Defender. This should at least stop notifications. You can't repeat to you, I got it.

  • How to remove "Windows Mail"

I have a Toshiba laptop and "Windows Live Mail" and "Windows Mail", how do I remove "Windows Mail" from my computer.

I've been in the program Install & Remove Control Panel, but can not find all titles with "Windows Mail" to remove. ?

    Rick

    Hello RichardShiel,

Windows mail is installed with the Windows Vista operating system, and therefore cannot be uninstalled. Surprisingly enough, it cannot even be disabled via the Windows features turn on or off the option programs and features.

However, if you have the version of Vista Ultimate (Please note that I edited this post like initially, I said Pro and Ultimate; it was incorrect, my apologies) you should be able to disable through Group Policy.

    1. press on the Windows and R key to bring up the menu run.

    2. in the Run menu type: gpedit.msc

    3. If you do not have gpedit on your version of Vista, you receive an error message. If you have gpedit on your machine to the Group Policy Editor is now displayed.

    4. once the Group Policy Editor is open look in the left pane and click the option for the Computer Configuration. A list will now be expanded.

    5. then add to the list under administrative templates.

6 look down this list and develop, the Windows components option.

    7. look in the right pane and scroll down until you come to Windows Mail.

    8. double-click on that.

    9. you should now see two options. (a) turn off the function of communities and the b) disable the Windows Mail application.

    10. double-click on the option turn off Windows Mail to open the Properties window.

    11. in the Properties window, click the active radio button, and then click the OK button.

12 Finally exit the properties and the Group Policy Editor.

    13. the next time you start your machine that Windows Mail should be disabled.

As I said this should work if you have the Group Policy Editor.
