Removel

can you please help me program is safe to remove all the acer programs including that I am unsure of what is sure to uninstall. Thank you.

I advised of what to keep:

Acer Recovery Management
Intel Graphics Driver (do not delete)
Intel trusted execution engine
Acer power management
Quick access Acer
Java (all)
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime (all - you probaby have progs that rely on these)
Qualcomm Atheros WLAN and Bluetooth Client (do not delete)
Live update
(Do not remove) Realtek card reader
Logitech Webcam Software
Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver (do not delete)

You * can * remove (but obviously not if you need them):

Acer Explorer Agent
Acer Launch Manager (but keep Dritek Launch Manager if you have one)
Adobe Flash Player
File Shredder
Avast free antivirus
Acer system information
Adobe Reader XI
Brother MFL Pro Suite
Google Chrome
Acer user experience
Advanced SystemCare 8
Program support and research on Brother products
DailyDiary
IObit Uninstaller
AOP Framework (but may be required by other programs)
EncryptOnClick (but not if you used it to encrypt files of course)
Identity card (but could provide useful information)
Microsoft Silverlight
Mozilla Firefox
Yahoo! Messenger
Mozilla maintenance service
Yahoo! software update
Mozilla Thunderbird controller driver
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
PhotoScape
Start 8 menu

Make sure what you want or need these before uninstalling. First of all, I had put a restore point in case where.

  • Quick deletion of multiple files?

I have an iMac and spin El Capitan.  My hard drive is not defragind or strippers. I'm trying to clean up my iCloud Phot files.  I have tens of thousands of files I want to delete.  For some, it has been more than a year stuck with the files that I don't want.  Most of them are of thumbnails or symbols.  I want to set up separate Liberals for the various subjects.   Of course you can not move them from one library to another.  And they got rid of Cup. Pretty much the removel of any file is an important Apple production. I know that the standard methods to remove. I don't know about the D option or the DELETE option.  Yes I know I can drag something to the Recycle Bin.   There is no mystery to highlight, click the menu mouse then send to the Recycle Bin. First I have to highlight the files and my mac goes in all its States.  Then, after what seems like the computer never accepts that the files have been highlighted.  Then when I tell to send files to the Recycle Bin it must prepare and examines files evey and debates of its value.  Then after that it's over, he spent through the process again.   It seems debating the removel of each files many times.  All of these methods take hours and hours and grinds my computer to a hault. If they work at all.   Normally I nettoieriez this with msWord, but no text.  Mac is still recovering from switch to deleate the tens of thousands of files.  CCleaner won't work or will I have to use the Mac of my own.  Still, I'm not talking about defragin or cleaning my hard drive I need a quick way to delete several files.

Don't even think to put fraudulent rubbish that is CleanMyMac on your computer.  If you want to see it became an expensive paperweight, by all means, install it.  If you want to continue to use it, take a pass.  CCleaner is also unnecessary.  Mac is needless, cleaners, refreshing products, organizers, optimizers, or any other program "maintenance".  They do a great job of taking care of themselves.  Allowing a third party program to remove anything from your computer, that it is an image file or an application is inherently dangerous because they suppress also many other files you don't know anything.  They could be essential system files, they could be trash.  You don't know, and they won't tell you.

Go to http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck , download and run EtreCheck, copy paste here the status report.  The process you describe slow, the computer is to simply delete the files tells me something is wrong, and I hope that something will go up in your EtreCheck report that will shed light on it.

  • False Virus Warning?

I received a "phone (land line) of a person puporting to be from Microsoft and telling me that a new virus had appeared." It was an Indian or Pakistani accent that I could barely understand. The main thing is that I should get on my computer and they would talk me through removing. I explained to him that my computer was just two months, plus I had the latest McAFEE Anti virus software loaded up, but he kept insisting that McAFEE has been usless against this virus and that he should be able to speak to me through the removal of the virus. My PC is working normally and if my PC already has a factory installed on the program to activate the virus removel, then why would I need Mc MCAFEE or any other anti-virus software? It says NOTHING to go to the Microsoft web site to download updates or anything like that, in any case, after a few line seemed to go dead and nobody rang me back. Do you know such a virus or do you think it was a scam to take control of my Pc?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    No problem.

  • Error 1335: Data1.cab corrupt or the source file is damaged and can not download

Recently I formatted my hard drive and installed windows xp professional 64-bit and had no problem installing updates automatic and all my drivers but then a few reboots later, after installation I started to receive an error message saying "the source file is damaged" or "the cab data1.cab file is corrupt and cannot be used. I never had problems like this on my windows xp home edition. Do you know how can I solve this problem?

I tried to install programs on different browsers, removing all my temporary files and choosing a different download location.

    Thank you very much

    Cort

    Hello Cort Adkins,

Issues such as this error, "the source file is corrupted" is usually a RAM problem. If you have several sticks of RAM, removel, restart and test.
It is best to test a bar at a time until you find the one that is causing the error to corruption.

Go to the Start button and in the search box, type in memory. This will bring up a Memory Diagnostic Test.
You can also test RAM using an application like Memtest.

Please answer back with an update and let us know if it helps.

    Thank you

  • How to: remove svchost.exe PID 1580

    Original title: svchost.exe 1580

I'm trying to clean (svchost.exe process under xp) because I have svchost.exe PID 1088, svchost.exe PID 1580. They were identified by the process svchost by www.nebure.com Analyzer. Is it possible to find for removel, perhaps in safe mode please?

It is OK and normal to have several svchost exe processes running.  Important XP Services are actually running under svchost.exe processes. There are sometimes an XP Service that runs under a svchost.exe process, sometimes there are several Services in XP, which runs under a svchost.exe process.  You can have 2, 5 or 8 or 10 races at any time depending on what does your system.

Sometimes malicious hide behind a svchost.exe process because the malware knows that you won't be able to spot it in the 9 Task Manager hides).  He will hide behind a svchost.exe process to deceive you.

Malicious software can disguise itself also seems to be a legitimate process of XP or he could hide under/behind other processes that you see running in Task Manager if you can't see the execution.

If you think one of your svchost.exe process is out of control or run amok, understand that some malware will hide as a process behind one of your several svchost.exe processes.  All what you will see in the Manager of tasks is a svchost.exe process that is out of control.

If you still think your system may have a malware infection, follow these steps:

No matter what you use for software malware, detection and removal do this first:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

If you read this article, you will be smarter than the average bear on what is happening with svchost.exe and understand why it is normal to see several svchost running processes in the Task Manager:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial129.html

If you download and run Process Explorer, you'll be able to get a better view of what is really running on your system and what is happening behind these multiple svchost.exe process see you in Manager tasks.

Here's what looks like my Process Explorer showing several svchost.exe processes:

    http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/2567/ProcessExplorer.PNG

You may be able to get clues with what is happening with your svchost.exe process using the Task Manager and maybe understand.

You will always be able to understand what is happening with your svchost.exe process if you use Process Explorer.

Download Process Explorer, so you can see what is 'really' executed on your system, especially behind the multiple svchost process see you in the running task manager.

    Download Process Explorer from here:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653.aspx

You'll like Process Explorer when you get the hang of it.  Process Explorer is the Manager of Windows taskbar on steroids.

Process Explorer installs nothing so it won't slow down your system since it works only on request.

Process Explorer can seem a little intimidating at first because it has so much information, but you will begin to make love the way it works when you're looking for performance problems.   You can even say EP you want it to be your new default 'Task Manager' value in the future.  You can always run the original tasks as Manager.
