Renamed project now references TOC subjects as if they were subject external

I just followed the instructions in the RH X 5 for the help file of Word on the projects of change of name. This set of directions several times worked for me for years, without incident and without flaw. (These data are very similar to what I found here.)

I just copied and renamed an entire project on a new logical drive, which is something I've done successfully in the past. I used the same direction, and now in my new project I see all my references TOC showing as if they are referring to external subjects. If I drag a theme again in my table of contents in the right pane, it displays the way I expected (NOT as an external subject, but as a normal subject). When I opened my *. File of the CNT in Notepad to read and compare the two entries of table of contents, who appears as a normal subject makes reference to my old name of project by a statement @oldprojectname.hlp . It's back! And why it is happening this way at all?

VERY more a strange thing: my newprojectname.hlp is included in the project > addictions > external help files. Why in the world would be my newprojectname.hlp considered an external help file? It is supposed to be THE main help file in my newly renamed project.

I used Notepad to search any reference in my *. HPJ file to my oldprojectname and/or any use of the old logical drive letter. Nothing corresponds to this research.

I tried to close my new project, rename all the *. HPT files so that HR think they have been deleted and then reopening my new project. Curiously, the file newly created by HR is named oldprojectname. HPT. I expected to see it named NomProjetName. HPT.

I'm completely stumped. Thanks to who can help me solve this problem! I need to make my new project have no links with the old project.

Problem solved - an update: I went to the Customer Support Portal and contact Adobe Technical Support about this problem. A Technical Support Engineer Senior said Adobe.

"About your concern, I understand that after renamed it your project, your TOC references are appearing as referring to [sic]. external subjects. According to your post on the forums, it seems that there is something missing with the steps to rename the project. "To further isolate the problem, try to copy your original project to a different location on your local computer and try and follow the same instruction [sic] on the following technical note:

Rename and move a project
http://www.Adobe.com/go/rb_1866

I was curious to see what could be the differences between the instructions to rename projects in the above TechNote and the same instructions in the help file for RH X 5, I compared the two, step by step. The instructions were essentially the same, with the exception of a typing error that has been fixed in the latest instructions in the TechNote.

However, there were some shortcomings with the instructions in the TechNote above. I copied the TechNote, corrected and managed to rename my RH X 5 for Word project with success. My renamed project reference is no longer my subjects as if they were external. Everything is now as it should. I included the corrected instructions here for later use.

Here are the corrected instructions to rename a RH X 5 for Word project:

    • Creates an Index and now the TOC disappeared on the HR server

I posted about this before and have not really got an answer that solves our problems. This morning my co-worker has created a system of help using FlashHelp Pro, he has published on the RoboHelp Server... it seems fine. Still, she had not created an index so she went back into RoboHelp and created the index. When it posted its files on the server of HR, the table of contents are now gone. The content pane is there, just no content that the scroll bar is as it is going to take, but disappears. We tried republication, empty the temporary Internet files, screaming at the computer... nothing.

After much research, we noticed that RoboHelp Server adds a bunch of entries after your .htm file in the address bar. This effectively changes the functions of the HR server on and outside reports. Here is an example: http://server/robo/projects_fhpro/projectname/file.htm# > > prj = Example project > > cap = project example > > pbs = toc | ndx | NLS | GLS > > APB = toc > > pot = > > pan = 0

When you delete these additions to the address of the table of contents appears again in his project.

Therefore, he said that RoboHelp is playing with something in the things he puts into the address.

No idea what's going on? What happened three people enough to chance now, and I get annoyed by it.

If you have the answer you are looking for, you're officially my hero!

My question has been answered! RoboHelp Server don't like spaces in the names of your project, so if you have spaces, then replace with underscores or take out all together. In fact, I went in the project folder on my drive local and had to rename my project file with underscore to make it work. After republish it on the server... BOOM... the Table of contents is back. I missed it greatly, but we meet once more

      Hi Rocky.

Are you saying that you want to Remove your projects?

Under XP, I could put pictures in a folder where I want them, and they remained there.

Now, I went to Win 7 they insist to keep in order digital alpha. How can I change this please?

If both of us are using two cameras each I want the photos chronologically at least, preferably where I put them.

      Jerry.

You can't just drag them anywhere, but you can sort them by the date that they were taken with the camera absolutely.

Right click on an empty spot, choose "sort by" and choose "Date."

    • RH10 project will save not subject in Design view.

I made a post a while ago where I solved her problems in a project where we could not save the topics in Design view.  Go to the view HTML before a topic will save.  In the past we have found that the problem has been altered and or virgins User Variables.  This project has only 1 variable now and when we went from RH9 to RH10, our problem is back.  No other issue does exist in this project... so far... we can be as a result of the upgrade RH10.

Has anyone else had this problem and or have their solution?  We have other projects like this that have no problem at all.  This project was created about eight years ago and spread through many versions of HR where our other projects have been through upgrades 1 or 2.  Perhaps some old junk is ruin it?

      Thank you

      DV

I understood why the subjects won't save in Design view but will save in HTML view.  When our project has updated the references to our global variable for 'Revision_Current-letter' were broken.  I went to each master page (14 in all) and remove the variable global in the foot and replaced with the same variable but just a fresh itteration.  Then generated a report properties topic and find 3 subjects who had this false variable link.  I replaced these links with a new one and suddenly I could still save files in Design view.

So very strange why Design discover blocked me to record subjects as a global variable was damaged.  When I double click on the wrong variable, he came empty.  I know that it is a problem of having empty variables in the past.  I guess the people of Adobe haven't fixed this problem of having a variable with no value!

      Hope this helps someone else.

One other point, my project still does not compile HTML Help.  It helps on the Web, but not HTML Help.  I think I have a lead, but I'm going to open a new discussion for that because it's got a strange problem double path.

    • Rename project files

So it's not so much a question as a pet peeve that really doesn't make sense to me.

Only in Premiere Pro, when you rename something enter > {rename the project file} > ENTER

He jumps down to the project file as if you need to rename this one also. As much as I know there is no other apps with this Protocol.

So, why only in first? Is it possible to change this default? I have dealt with this for years and have finally had it!

      #FirstWorldProblems #PetPeeve

I can't speak for other software, but I can tell you that this is a feature in Premiere Pro that I find very useful when I'm batch renaming clips. If your project Panel is in icon Mode, then 'return' will cause the Premiere Pro lock your changes and move to the next clip below that which you have been renamed, from top to bottom, left to right cycling. By pressing Tab will rename left to right, cycling up and down. Hold down the SHIFT key will reverse the direction. In list view, it will simply select the next clip below.

However, if you want to change this behavior, you can create a new keyboard layout with Edition > keyboard shortcuts (or first Pro CC > Mac OS keyboard shortcuts), scroll down to the section panels, twirling down the section of the project Panel and remove the mappings "Return', 'shift + return", "Tab" and "Shift + Tab".

I am trying to remove a project and it is said that references CKM to dwgobject and can not remove it. I tried to delete the CKM and always have the same question. How should I proceed to the deletion of this.

Probably a model related to sewing, in the project view, if you expand the CKM and look in ' used in '-what you see? Remove all uses of the seam, and it should work.

    • After the synchronization and rename, project cannot open

      Hi people and cracks.

I did a file psdx to my iPad (2nd generation) and synchronized with ACCloud. My PC (using Firefox in the latest version), I saw the file has not been named yet and renames it with a CamelCase-Filename. A few minutes later, I had to reopen the case on my iPad and got the message "Projekt kann nicht open werden - dies ist kein gultiges Photoshop Touch-Projekt" which in English means: "project could not be opened - is not a valid Photoshop Touch project.

I swear to you: I've just renamed

Clues or conclusions why that happened and how I can fixed?

When you have renamed it kept you .psdx on the end of the file name? Not to mention that when you renamed it could cause that?

    • Action Set renamed - actions now does not work

I had a set of actions named 'Kevin Actions' for "Kevin stock CS5" (I installed CS3 and CS5.

However, when I tried to execute measures having references to an action titled "Kevin's Actions" he would not be executed. The problem I've tried simply dropped the CS5 and renamed the action back to the original "Kevin's Actions.

THE PROBLEM: Stocks still does not work.

Is there a way to get them to run? I really don't wan to have to re - create...?

      I thank you,
      Kevin

It's like I said - you call another action in the game.

Your problem here, clearly in the first screenshot, it's that your original action game name had a space flight.  After your name change operations, the likely name lost space.

Regular spacing is important when an action called another in a set.  The names must match exactly.

Rename your actions have a space right in the name of the value and those who call other actions should work again.
