  Needless to day, I installed the latest version. I even reinstalled using the link in the message, but nothing helped. Whenever I click on the link to go forward, I get the same message. Question: (i) is it my PC/software (Vista), (ii) is the site where I'm trying to submit the form, or (iii) is it the software acrobat reader. Note that I used successfully the last version to fill out and sign forms.

  It is none of them. It's Chrome, which is ignoring Adobe Reader and showing the message.

  Solution: just save the document (with the message) to your desktop. Then open it in Adobe Reader. The 'real' should then display.

  Hi script ninjas. I have a MouseUp action a button titled 'Finalize & E-mail '. Based on input from the end user, it is necessary to add an alert message to reduce a large volume of phone calls 'I can't add more information in the form."

  What I want to do, is to give them a sentence that contains one or two mistakes and ask them to correct and submit it with the scoring software as good or bad, showing the correct answer and exposing the point of language.

  How can I do this in 9 Captivate which I just downloaded on a trial basis. However I've spent hours looking for the answer, but nothing helped.

  Not so easy for a beginner at all... Allows any of the default type of questions this, because I assume that you would offer the entire sentence. It is not possible to make changes to the text in Captivate, unless you use the scrolling, text interaction that can be configured to accept user input. You can add a button "submit" without problem, but the problem is that you need an advanced conditional action that checks if the "words" that had to be corrected are indeed present in the sentence in the correct entry. Once I have created an example on my blog that is related to what you want. Take a look to see if the complication of such an approach is not too difficult for you?

  I have the clear defect, back, Next buttons and submit on my quiz slides.  My users tend to click the next button instead of the Submit button or click on the "submit" button, and then the next button, thinking they need to click next to continue.  I discovered that in these cases, the results of the quiz are not captured.  I understand that the user must click on Submit and not on the next button in order for the results to be captured. I tried to change this behavior through guidelines, but there are always a few who want to click Next.

  I like to keep the buttons back and next, because they are used during the review of quiz.

  Do you have any suggestions for me that my instructions by adding to each slide that says "do not click Next in all except if you review the quiz"?

  I have a page which, once submitted, calls a few procedures database and displays the details of items in stock. Next to each item is a link to Transact the point that goes to another page. Once the issue has been addressed on this page, I would like to branch back to the original page and show put updated figures.
  However, the question is, we call the code after "Send" to start by filling temporary tables. So when the branches back page, tables are not met and this is why we do not see the data it takes.
  
  Is it possible in a branch to say "creates a branch to this page and submit it?

  You can still use the javascript method to call the function doSubmit, but you also need to update the value of P1_SUBMIT.

  Assuming that P1_SUBMIT is an item hidden on page 1 and has a value of 1 to validate or 0 for no present, then:

  This should be an area in itself and should be subject to P1_SUBMIT being equal to 1

  Your button on page 2 must then on P1_SUBMIT 1 so that, when the button is clicked, the P1_SUBMIT value is set to 1, the javascript region is therefore included in the page, so the javascript code is executed, P1_SUBMIT is set back to 0 and the page is sent. When the page reloads after that, as P1_SUBMIT is 0, the region of javascript is not included, so that the page is not automatically subject again.

  I try to have a form filled and automatically en e-mail and send it to an e-mail address.  The trick is, I need it done anonymously.  I found a script that works in another form which automatically sends it to the intended recipient.  The script, when it is used with the original document, allows you to enter a generic e-mail address and name.  However, when I cut and paste in my new form it does not work.

  Let's take a step back for a moment. First of all, you have a version of the form before you start adding code and before you attempted to disseminate with Acrobat? Do you need to broadcast with Acrobat, or it would be OK to simply add a Submit button that uses an action to "Submit a form" which was set up to send the complete PDF?

  You don't need any product LiveCycle to make this work, but do not apply to rights of use of the document if one of your users will use the drive. You do this in Acrobat 9 by selecting "Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader. This is done automatically when you distribute the form in Acrobat, but you can do it manually if you don't need to go through the distribution process.

  I was able to set up a "submit" button so that the user can select the email address, but I can't implement the presentation then the form is sent in pdf format. Can anyone help with this?

  In all cases, the e-mail message outlook is displayed and the user can adjust any part of the email from there. You can choose one of the methods to send a PDF file instead of an XML file.

  Hi all, I have created a simple form that when the Send button is clicked goes to another page, I'm eager to validate the form before to ensure that the proper test was registered. I can get this working, but when I get a message box saying that the criterion is entered is incorrect and I click OK in the message box the form nevertheless opens the next page. How can I do this so that the shape is not go further if it is incorrect.

  I used javascript for example, when you use vbscript, but it works essentially the same. If you change the type of button HTML submit button, so it will not submit automatically when you click on it, but will run the validation function when you click on it. In the logic where the form data are validated, you can send the form then, but where the data of the form validation fails, you do not offer. Sort of, looks like you submit the form, so when data passes and fails (TheForm.Submit). Sorry I can not translate exactly in vbscript.

  Access to the queues must be granted before the task arriving in the queue, so even if he shared his queue, now, the task cannot be visible.

  At this point, your only option would be to connect to the /AdminUI, like your LiveCycle (Super admin) administrator and locate the task through Admin management process and reassign the task to someone else.
