Rendering with GPU Quadro K2200

Hello

I noticed during the rendering of a project through Media Encoder that my CPU usage is at 100%

Open GPU - z and noticed that the GPU seems not to make any charge on it.

AFAIK rendered CUDA is activated, and when he was working the gpu takes big load.

It seems to be the problem?

CPU: i7 4790

16 GB OF RAM

Thank you to

According to the effects used on a sequence and a few other things, PrPro or can not use the GPU that much into rendering. Encoding codec it tends to do as an operation of the CPU. A few others here can give more detailed information, like in certain situations, it's a ton of work, many others very little.

    The title says it all.

I do video in Adobe Media Encoder, but my 20 Minute video takes up to 55 Minutes to restore (1080 p, 10 Mbps). Normally, I should be able to return with OpenCL, but my use of the graphics card is 1% (24% CPU) and Ram at 25%.

  • Impossible to activate CUDA on Quadro K2200

Hi, I recently bought a Nvidia Quadro K2200 equipped of 4 GB ram and 640 CUDA core. However, when I try to enable CUDA in After Effects (CS6 and CC) I can not, the option is not available.

I did the thing to add the map manually in the 'raytracer_supported_cards' list but then executing EI GET the message "After Effects error ray traced 3D: initial shader compilation failed (5070: 0). In this case, the program runs normally and the option to enable the GPU is now available on "Edit/Preferemces/Preview", but there is no improvement in performance and when I try to use the 3D Ray Traced feature I get the error message again.

I know that this graphics card is fron the latest Quadro family and even his name is not on the official list supported CUDA cards as well as the K4200 and K5200 and other press releases, will therefore be the problem? Fact there is incompatibility between the software and the new Board of Directors?

Remembering that I tested the two AE CS6 and CC, duly updated to date to the last date and the last drivers Nvidia.

    Can someone help me?

    (Sorry for my bad English)

This card is not supported for GPU of the 3D rendering engine acceleration traced to the RADIUS, and it will never be.

NVIDIA has changed new cards Maxwell CUDA features, as they are incompatible with the version of Optix (the library that powers the traced the beam 3D rendering engine) that comes with After Effects.

For many reasons, we have stopped development on the traced the beam 3D rendering engine, so we will not issue updates that allow these new cards work with this feature.

If you work with 3D in After Effects, you have many choices, which is superior to the use of the traced to the RADIUS engine 3D rendering, including Cinema 4 d, which is included in After Effects.

  • ZBook 17 G3: ZBook 17 G3 with nvidia Quadro M2000M

    That's right - who's wrong... If any?

I have a G2 470 ProBook Revit and Autocad Architecture running G6W69EA and it does not work well.

So I think buy a ZBook 17 G3 instead, and comparing the different specifications, I came across this:

According to NVIDIA to http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-for-mobile-workstations.html the Quadro M2000M made for the Platform 15.6 ".

Among other things, HP ZBook 17 G3 - T7V62EA #ABY is built according to the specifications of HP with the Quadro M2000M, however it NVIDIA should be the M3000M when it is on a platform 17.3 ".

Is this perticular ZBook good built, or is - this 'money by windows' not go for something like the Y6J67EA with Quadro M3000M place?

There is nothing wrong with the 17.3 "and the combination of M2000M.

The M2000M is enough for most use Revit and Autocad.  Very complex models may require the graphics power of addition, where intermittent 3D rendering or low complexity models can work very well with less graphical power.

  • No rendered OpenCL GPU

OpenCL is clearly supported on my iMac, because the OpenCL_NBody_Simulation_Example sample code Apple provides performance of incredibly fast GPU rendering, with less than 2% CPU Overload.

However, the GPU is not used by FCPX or compressor for any type of output. He doesn't doesn't matter if I use the FCPX easy sharing, or the function export on the compressor or the compressor directly. No setting uses GPU. The activity monitor shows nearly 300%-400% CPU rendering/share.

    Help!

  • Adobe Premiere Pro does support the rendered assisted GPU on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 M?

I am planing on buying a laptop Asus Rog G551VW-Fl052T containing an NVIDIA GeForce 960 M GTX and video editing with it using first pro and the gpu to help rendered. After searching trough the requirements here I couldn't find it. Then I saw this video on a similar laptop computer with a gpu are not not in the requirements works very well with gpu assisted rendering. Now I don't know if it works or not?

I expect an answer, thank you!

They do not have a list within the PrPro of video cards 'supported' as they did... so... your job is to make sure that the video card in use is at least to the standards. IF the map these standards... very well. Someone asked why PrPro has not choose to use its old GPU... that had only 512 MB of vRAM. He used this card with previous versions of PrPro, thought that it should always work. Nope... the minimum usable is now 1 GB of vRAM. It. you're fine... the list gives a choice of 2/4 GB of vRAM.

In addition, for a cut card from nVidia, something above 1000 hearts CUDA is as important. This is a problem with the map you speak... support nVidia it lists to 640 carrots. It is quite low.

I suggest you check during the Hardware forum... There are a lot of discussions on laptops as well as desktop computers.

  • SpeedGrade CC 2014.2 build 8.2x51 reading smoothing / jerky 4K with GPU R9 295 x 2 - it uses only 2 GB of RAM (8.1 Windows 64-bit), Mac OS - same problem

    Hello, guys

    I have following configuration:

    I7-5960 x 4.3 GHz

    32 GB DDR4 RAM

ATI 295 x 2 8 GB (Gpusniffer.exe watch 3072 MB on each unit of Hawaii)

    Samsung XP941 Ultra M.2 (> 1000 Mb/s)

    Some 850 Pro SSD for H.264 4 k source

Latest version of Speedgrade CC 16/02/2015 (DUAL MONITOR SETUP - 2560 x 1440 for Interface and 4096 x 2160 for previewing)

I work with a lot of short 10-15 seconds 4 K 4096 x 2160 24 fps H.264 clips of Panasonic GH4. Import their first CC as some stabilization warp, cut them, save the project and opened in Speedgrade CC all are fantastic smooth in first CC.

Speedgrade - a simple color - exhibition, some keyframes and simple scoring correction for certain substances. I use the GPU acceleration for sure have lots of 4096 x 2160 4K 24 fps. But it is not flexible and smooth after that a correction is applied. Everything is jerky and freezes the first seconds, when I press 'PLAY'. I used resources, the Manager monitor tasks (Winodws 8.1 64-bit) and Afterburner. And there's what I discovered:

    • Afterburner shows the use of mono-GPU (as we know it for playback only 1 GPU used) the same amount as in first. SpeedGrade CC use 2, 5 GB of VRAM. Also, if I use one zero effect - accelerating gpu, like "transform", for example, imported first, I get "not enough GPU resources" message in Speedgrade. Afterburner shows, CC Speedgrade tried to use more, and then Max 3GB available VRAM during that time. So I turn off these effects, before you open a project in Speedgrade.

    • CPU is low (15%) use, perhaps a little lower, then in the first CC

    • Disc - 3-10%, H.264 is weak on this subject

    • RAM! -is the problem. I have been authorized to use the 29 GB of RAM for Adobe apps. Speedgrade CC use no more then 2-3 GB according to the the Task Manager (for most 2 GB) and 8.1 Windows resource monitor 64-bit Pro. After I finished with the color correction, a project open in first DC, work with lumteri on smooth and! First CC use 9 to 10 GB of RAM to play the same music video in full resolution smoothly!

I already reinstalled everything, including drivers for the GPU, 8.1 for Windows and Adobe CC even result.

    MacBook Pro 15 retina end 2013 with i7-4960HQ/16 GB of RAM/Geforce 750 m UPDATE!

Under Mac Os Yosemite 10.10.2 - same situation here. First CC use 5 GB (of 11 GB of available) 4096 x 2160 Prores 422 HQ and is usable, smooth with a few drops of frame.

SpeedGrade CC uses 2.5 GB RAM of 4096 x 2160 and it is impossible to use plenty of 4096 x 2160. Only 1/2 resolution of overview is smooth and usable on the screen of the laptop. 4096 x 2160 externally connected through Thunderbolt monitor, it's a lot rougher, I think it's hard for 750 m with 2 GB of VRAM.

UPDATE! Previous version (CC 2014) of first CC and CC Speedgrade Windows 8.1 64-bit - even situation.

    What do you think?

My opinion - Speedgrade CC is not optimized for 4K resolution. First CC is good for 4K.

BTW, for more information, latest AMD catalyst driver 14.12 omega has a problem with my R9 295 x 2 and engine reading Mercury (MPE) OpenCL - just black with sound screen, when I turn on the GPU acceleration. So I use the previous version of 14.9. With 14.12 GPUsniffer.exe found a device with 4 GB of VRAM GPU and a GPU with 3 GB of VRAM (normally obligatorily 3 + 3 GB 295 x 2 Dual GPU radeon chip).

    Yes

So, finally, Speedgrade CC works 95% smooth time with 4096 * 2160 H.264. But it was necessary to turn off all effects in first Pro CC. Nothing new. I found a few discussions on this fact, but after that I spent some time with experiences.

Stabilizer Warp even alone is enough to make Speedgrade CC really agitated. 'Transform' effect simply blocks Speedgrade CC with "GPU resources.

Each effect uses some VRAM (for Warp stabilizer 200-300 MB). After you have disabled all effects had load VRAM under/near 2 GB for the little clip 4096 * 2160.

First CC flies simply with unique x 290 or 295 x 2 (which is the only x 290 during playback). Even 3GB VRAM available software Adobe CC.

PS Macbook Pro retina 15 "with Geforce 750 M 2 GB VRAM would work smoothly with Prores to half a preview/playback resolution - 2048 * 1080. CC CC SpeedGrade or Premiere Pro with 1/2.

  • Cuda not refreshing preview with a quadro... WHA?

Well, I have a weird problem with Premiere Pro 2014.

I'm editing on a completely new fairly decent Windows system: 8.1 Win pro 64-bit, 32 GB Ram, SSD and records all external references on the stroke of lightning 2 with a quadro graphics card running 2200.

I am currently editing the images of Dragon k 6-1/16 preview with all plugins turned off (a lot of time remapping, however).

Problem I have is that when running with cuda when I turn on the securities or (i.e. to watch the trail under the top) or even the simplest plug-ins or motion Panel (position or opacity) to change the preview window is not kept up-to-date until I move the cursor in the editing window.

This makes editing infuriatingly slow, any thoughts would be very welcome.

Tried clearing the cache, OpenCL is so incredibly slow and read by software while it works just kills me with the offset. Currently in RED movie editing mode.

This could be a problem with the video preview format?  Other options on the PC that I have-Frame Mpeg (to 2.4:1 i.e. 1920 x 800)?

    Thank you

Exactly what version of CC2014? From the output of 2014.2, today there was 4 versions.

My effects wiggle that I asked my images did not regard and seemed not at all. When I

I need to change settings or choose a special format in media encoder?

I would be happy to answer!

    best,

    Alex

Unfortunately, this is a bug in Adobe Media Encoder - it does not properly handle expressions, if they are created in the default language. If your AE works in English but in German, SOUL SOUL runs the instance of AE context it uses to manage the AE projects also in German and your break expressions, because they are language-specific. Nothing, that you can change. To work around the problem, consider using the wizard to Convert the Expressions into keyframes keyframe before rendering with SOUL. For some layers with simple stuff that should be acceptable, but of course it will be a nightmare with many expressions.
