No rendered OpenCL GPU

OpenCL is clearly supported on my iMac, because the OpenCL_NBody_Simulation_Example sample code Apple provides performance of incredibly fast GPU rendering, with less than 2% CPU Overload.

However, the GPU is not used by FCPX or compressor for any type of output. He doesn't doesn't matter if I use the FCPX easy sharing, or the function export on the compressor or the compressor directly. No setting uses GPU. The activity monitor shows nearly 300%-400% CPU rendering/share.

Help!

Configuration:

'Use the GPU to process the content of Final Cut Pro' is checked in the Advanced tab preferences of compressor.

What exactly are you calling? Video files in H.264 or master ProRes H.264 won't need treatment of the GPU.

  • Cannot select "Mercury Playback Engine (OpenCL) GPU accélération" as my renderer

I have an AMD over-pants 4900 card in my desktop HP Z420. I bought the card as a result of it being listed as one that supports acceleration GPU (as found on this list). I updated the driver for the card to the most recent of the AMS website. When I try to create a new project, I'm not able to select the rendering engine OpenCL in the drop-down list. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. This is a clean install (CC Adobe apps are the first thing to install on a clean Windows 7 install).

Has been solved. When you perform the Windows update it installed the version of the above driver (v 9.3.3.3000). Even if I had installed the driver through the Catalyst Suite he returned still the driver from Windows Update. I did the removal tool (found here) to remove all traces of catalyst and then reinstalled catalyst, which has found the driver update (v 12.104.2.0). Everything seems to work fine and I choose to put my over-pants (open cl) to be the engine for rendering in Premiere Pro! YAY! According to the effects used on a sequence and a few other things, PrPro or can not use the GPU that much into rendering. Encoding codec it tends to do as an operation of the CPU. A few others here can give more detailed information, like in certain situations, it's a ton of work, many others very little.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro does support the rendered assisted GPU on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 M?

I am planing on buying a laptop Asus Rog G551VW-Fl052T containing an NVIDIA GeForce 960 M GTX and video editing with it using first pro and the gpu to help rendered. After searching trough the requirements here I couldn't find it. Then I saw this video on a similar laptop computer with a gpu are not not in the requirements works very well with gpu assisted rendering. Now I don't know if it works or not?

I expect an answer, thank you!

They do not have a list within the PrPro of video cards 'supported' as they did... so... your job is to make sure that the video card in use is at least to the standards. IF the map these standards... very well. Someone asked why PrPro has not choose to use its old GPU... that had only 512 MB of vRAM. He used this card with previous versions of PrPro, thought that it should always work. Nope... the minimum usable is now 1 GB of vRAM. It. you're fine... the list gives a choice of 2/4 GB of vRAM.

In addition, for a cut card from nVidia, something above 1000 hearts CUDA is as important. This is a problem with the map you speak... support nVidia it lists to 640 carrots. It is quite low.

I suggest you check during the Hardware forum... There are a lot of discussions on laptops as well as desktop computers.

  • SOUL use multiple OpenCL GPU?

Hi, I have a MacBook Pro (i7 2.8 GHz, 16 GB RAM) of the retina 2014 with an Intel Pro Iris (1.5 GB) & GeForce GT 750 m (2 GB).

I was wondering if SOUL appealed to the Pro of the Iris and the GT 750 m during export. According to benchmarking LuxMark, Iris Pro is much faster that the GeForce to OpenCL tasks, so I want to just make sure that the SOUL is making the most of my system.

No way to force the OpenCL any calculation on the Iris Pro instead of the GeForce?

    Hi Frickenphil,

Hi, I have a MacBook Pro (i7 2.8 GHz, 16 GB RAM) of the retina 2014 with an Intel Pro Iris (1.5 GB) & GeForce GT 750 m (2 GB). I was wondering if SOUL appealed to the Pro of the Iris and the GT 750 m during export.

The MacBook Pro will only use the discrete GPU in the encoding process. In other words, the NVIDIA GPU. GPU Intel Iris Pro are disabled for the encoding, as is the Integrated GPU, not the discrete GPU. The discrete GPU should run when Premiere Pro and Media Encoder are launched, because they depend on the GPU in this scenario.

No way to force the OpenCL any calculation on the Iris Pro instead of the GeForce?

Sorry, no. I'm afraid that you are not able to switch to the GPU integrated at the launch of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. The discrete GPU should be used with these applications in the MacBook Pro. You can test this with gfxCardStatus.

    Thank you

  • I use an AMD Radeon R9 390, rendered with GPU in Media Encoder takes forever. Am I missing something?

    The title says it all.

I do video in Adobe Media Encoder, but my 20 Minute video takes up to 55 Minutes to restore (1080 p, 10 Mbps). Normally, I should be able to return with OpenCL, but my use of the graphics card is 1% (24% CPU) and Ram at 25%.

I used an NVIdIa graphics card, and I'm pretty sure that made with the card NVidia is much faster although the R9 is much better.

So, I'm not an expert. Is there something that I am missing? Is there something I can do?

  • I think I found a bug with CC 14 in what text layers will not be rendered. Super boring!

I just changed a video on Youtube and I noticed that my text layers, which I have added to my images wouldn't make out in video. Rather my video to freeze, and then start playing again. I tried to make out in ProRes format and it happened again. So I just wanted to make the text and low and here the screen was blank. I just changed recently cs6 y at - there a way around this? It's a good thing that I discovered this at the beginning because I always have my 30days to cancel.

I'm editing on a Macbook Pro retina 15 inches with 2 GB Nvidia card and 16 GB of RAM.

    Thank you all in advance

In addition to the oddities that Ann has been noted, the sequence is interlaced while the export parameters are progressive. I have no particular reason to think that one of these weird little details would cause a problem, but it is of course an original set of properties.

I would start by checking with a more normal scenario to see if the problem persists:

    1. New project
    2. New sequence, using a 1080 preset, such as AVCHD 1080 p 24.
    3. Create a universal counting Leader and a title and add both to the timeline.
    4. Export to the same preset from YouTube.

If the result of this sequence has the same problem, then it's time to collect information about your system: OS version, map chart & driver, if you have installed the codecs.

If the title survives the test, then start to tweak things in the direction of the problematic sequence, change only one variable at once--adding weird 29.99 video AVCHD, changing a single sequence setting in time, etc.. Export after each change and see if the problem returns.

    Tests should also be:

    1. Try the different paths of coding: 'in-process' by clicking Export in the export and through SOUL settings dialog box by clicking on queue.
    2. In the SOUL, encode with the Import parameter sequences enabled natively, then again with the option turned off. [Preferences > General]
    3. Test rendering to GPU acceleration engine and with him assign software only [file > Project Settings > General.

However, when I spend "Mercury Playback Engine (OpenCL) GPU acceleration" to "Mercury Playback Engine software" only the same images makes it flawless. Of course, it takes about twice as long. Even abroad, the same images will make to ProRes using GPU acceleration. Here's my hardware features:

    Workaround solution discovered!

I went through the clouds creative and found that I could turn the clock back to the latest version (December 2015) SOUL the previous SOUL CC 9.0.0.222 CC. (It's a bit buried in 'Previous Versions') Automatically downloading trashes newest version and install the other oldest.

I threw the last first Pro CC - 2015.1 9.1.0 174 (Build). I chose the same piece of the timeline to compress with the same parameters of H.264 which had been at fault, he gives and launched SOUL 9.0.0.222 changed the rendering engine to the Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration, started the render and crossed my fingers. (I didn't hold my breath.) I was 39 minutes of video).

    And it worked!

I had not changed anything else. I'll do some additional testing, but for now - because of the length to make it - I'm sure that this workaround is solid. The tricky part is to find the old version of SOUL on creative cloud.

  • HD5500 + CS6

    TL; DR

Is it possible to activate the hardware mode motor Mercury with an Intel GPU and PP CS6 HD5500?

    Hello

    I have a Dell XPS13 with 5600 i7 processor (and HD5500 GPU) and Premiere Pro CS6.

In Premiere Pro the Mercury engine software is pre-selected (and intoxicated), so I can't select mode hardware. GPUsniffer.exe only list the GPU devices (but still list the HD5500 Intel as some OpenCL/GL-device). I have not installed the latest graphics drivers from Intel, but since I m abroad and on a really slow, expensive and crowded connection that will not be an option for a fortnight. Photoshop CS6 seems to recognize the CPU correctly.

My understanding of the is that CS6 supports only the former Intel GPU´s and Premiere Pro CC recently added hardware for Intel HD5000 series support.

    (1) is there any possibility to activate hardware engine Mercury on CS6?

    (2) an update of PP CC will make it possible to activate the hardware mode?

    (3) what type of performance hardware mode increase would bring?

(Now I'm accelerate GoPro 1080 p clips 10 X and the first seconds that his kind of smooth, but then it quickly turns into a slide show, hardware mode that would change or is the increase of only marginal or only applied to rendering performance?)

Normally, on a good connection I just download the drivers Intel and Adobe PP CC of the trial and find about my self, but right now it is unfortunately not an option. So thank you in advance for your help.

    The answer is: never.

CS6 is EOL at this stage. This means that it will not receive more updates. In addition, CS6 supports all non-nVidia GPU at all whether for accelerating GPU of MPE for the version of Windows as the OpenCL GPU acceleration is supported in OSX version is permanently disabled in the Windows version.

  • First CC crashes on a regular basis, what I am doing wrong?

I use first for about 2 years now, I agree with CC and update applications as they are available. I use a thin maxed out macbook pro model that is my main workhorse, I play on it and only use photoshop and first.

I cannot complete a unique project at LEAST a fatal accident causing corrupted project files most of the time wasting hours to a few days of work. I'm ready for any call, she leaves and switch to anything but first.

What worries me is that I didn't do nothing demanding, very basic editing and calibration using the magic bullet of the colors. I keep each project on its own external SSD. I make sure that first is the only application running when I'm editing. Lots of local disk space and outdoor space. This has been a recurring problem that started on my MBP of previous generation, when I started using first.

I don't update first to the project Center, learned the hard way at the end and be updated when they are available. I have no formal training in first so I'm starting to think that I must be a fool and am not using the software correctly.

Anyone else have the same problem? Is there any common user related problems I can be initially unintentionally? Any help or idea would be greatly appreciated. If you need more information do not hesitate to ask. Thank you.
