REPEATED failed to establish connection Message

I am the first owner at the time of a Palm Treo 700 p.  I have a laptop with Windows Vista (32 bit).  I use a USB connection and successfully Hot Sync - achieved (initially I was getting an error message indicating a database file could not be opened on the Palm, but I did a soft reset and this problem has since been resolved and it is now able to synchronize without errors).

The problem I encounter is that on my Palm, I get an error message that every few minutes a Cound connection not established - it seems eager to connect with my wireless laptop.  I checked hot Synchronization Manager on my laptop and under connections, USB only is checked.  On the Palm, local and home/cable station are selected.  Is there a setting that I have to turn off so that the Palm is not continuously for the laptop computer, or is it just hung in a "loop"?

Thank you in advance for help a beginner!

My mistake I have applogys for not reading your whole post.

Now for your problem sounds like the wireless sync is installed on this device. you have one of two choices. hard reset the device and rename your folder (installation program for the programs that you have installed) backup or turn on wireless synchronization.

first of all to make sure that his wireless sync. in your applactions, look for wireless synchronization. Once there, if you see no download or install in the background. It is not your problem. If you do so. message on what you want to handle this. with the hard reset and rename the backup folder. you need to install one of the programs at the same time you know of your backup folder, if you do not install wireless synchronization.

  • Repeated failed installs Ko 977074, 978506, 978506. O/s of hanging in the journal began or pass the user's request.

    OK, here's my story:

Windows 7 Home Premium, solid running, since 13/10/09
History of failure of 974431 update that the next day, he managed without my taken part troubleshooting.  No complaints since more about 1 week ago got a BSoD outside no where while my child is on a restricted user account using IE.  Has not returned since, but suffice it to say.
So now it's 26/01/10 and an update to install Windows Defender K915597 with success.  Cool deal.  It end tonight here and he says it is to install the updates and then stops.  Next day:
    1/27 - KB976972 failed
    1/27 - KB978506 failed
    1/27 - KB977074 failed
    1/27 - KB976972 failed

    1/27 - KB976972 failed
    1/27 - KB978506 failed
    1/27 - KB977074 failed
See a pattern here?  So I should also mention that all of a sudden if I click log off or switch users while one of these updates says waiting and not pass/fail it hangs on Please wait... I waited about 10 minutes (normally it's about 10 seconds for the newspaper and immediate to change user) then have to restart the computer or force the feeding cycle.  So I decided to uncheck the Group of updates and just try one at a time through the automatic updates.
    Wait what he...
    1/28 - KB976972 successful
    1/28 - KB978506 successful
    1/28 - KB977074 successful
    1/28 - KB915597 successful (Windows Defender again)
    Hooray! life is good again!
It end tonight here and he said please wait... Configuration of windows or something like this.  Odd.  Given that all of the updates succeeded and I had no updates available message.  Well it stops down.
On the morning.  Please wait while windows configures (or other) updates failed returning changes.  What updates?  They managed you cursed!
    29/1 - KB976972 failed (what  Wait.  What?)
    1/29 - KB978506 failed (what  Wait.  What?)
    1/29 - KB977074 failed (what  Wait.  What

1/30 - KB978506 failed (me trying just the update to the compatibility mode)
1/31 - KB977074 failed (my download and try to install the update manually)
So there is some sort of timeline for what it's worth.  So basically three updates repeatedly failing and play with my head.   Here are the error codes for each of them:
Update for Internet explore 8 Compatibility View List for Windows 7 (KB978506)
    Installation status: failed
    Error details: Code 80004004
    Update for Windows 7 (KB977074)
    Installation status: failed
    Error details: Code 80004004

    Update for Windows 7 (KB976972)
    Installation status: failed
    Error details: Code 80004004
More potentially useful data.  I have manually install a (977074), said she is successful and I want to reboot, Yes, please wait windows configuration, stops, comes up, please wait configuration updates, no error, log, look at the history of the update, says "pending" 977074 next, I reboot on mine, please wait windows configuration, stop , rises, please wait for configuration updates, UPDATES COULD not return changes, allows me to connect... She does it every time.
So I think I'll just deselect all and hide updates, screw it right?  I don't really have the situations these difficulty going home anyway.  So all deselected.  No found update, green check in Windows doesn't update.  Everything is cool.  Stop this night here, please wait windows configuration, stops, appears, wait for updated configuration to update, UPDATES FAIL back.
And yet, he is suspended when the logoff or switch user thing.
    Seriously.  What is going on?

    Hello

First, install the system tool using the link provided: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/947821

    Then, run boot.

To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can try to troubleshoot this issue with a clean boot to see if we can identify a program or driver causing the problem you are experiencing.
A clean boot to start Windows with some programs and drivers off or on selection. By doing this through trials and errors we can hopefully identify a specific cause of this problem. Here's how to solve problems with a clean boot:

    Clean clean boot.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
    The user account control permission.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type
    password, or click on continue.
    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load starting points.
    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
    5. click on OK.
    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved, make sure what third-party program is at the origin of the problem, referring to the link given below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual.

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click the Start button, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
    2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
    3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

If you are still experiencing a problem, try the following:

I suggest to download the update manually and install it. Use the link below to download the update.

  • Helps detect and block repeated RDP has no connections

I wonder if anyone has found a way to detect (and then effectivly block) repeated failed RDP tries to connect.  I guess it's difficult because they are legitimate connection attempts that we don't normally block.  Run us several terminal servers and (correlated with new RDP according to virus recently announced) that we have seen of many attmepts login failed via RDP over the past months.

I found a similar question that did not have a clear answer.  Anyone know how to set up a detection of flooding for repeated RDP connections?

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/message/3365703#3365703

I would like to find a way to block repeated attempts, but not to block all attempts, I need to keep the other source IPs unblocked the blocking mechanism.

    Erick

You can try a signature of engine aotmic IP which is on port 3389. You can set the County event to the aggressor and the victim address pair and event the number to a decent amount (say 5) and a count interval to an appropriate interval event (say 30 seconds).

You can also match on additional details (like a RST flag as well in the header of theTCP which ideally should follow a connection attempt has failed). If you do this, you specify the source TCP 3389 port and also activate swap victim-perpetrator addresses so that the destination IP address is detected as an aggressor.

You can then set the action to "refuse the perpetrator victim pair inline" and all the traffic between these 2 guys will be blocked for a period of time (the default is 30 miniutes if I remember correct).

Indeed, the signature will try to match 5 TCP packets in 30 seconds with a source port of 3389 and between the same set of IP addresses. If this condition is, it stops all traffic between these 2 hosts for a set period of time.

Yet once, the numbers I mentioned above may not meet your requirement. You should maybe start wireshark and see the boss and match accordingly.

    I hope this helps!

  • Jolt 1.2 Tuxedo 6.5 on Solaris 10 sparc is not establish connection

    Hello

I installed Tuxedo 6.5 on Solaris10 sparc because my application was not compiled with a later version of Tuxedo. Then I installed Jolt1.2 there. I configured the tuxedo and all the application servers. While startup FINGS server starts but JSL fails with the JOLT_CAT:1008 error: could not establish connection to the server / / 10.10.100.110:9500. After that, it gives Tuxedo error 'tpsvrinit() failed '. As had been suggested in some other messages I already checked if shipping is free or not with the command "netstat - a | grep 9500» There is no coming out to the above command. But the same configuration works very well with Solaris 8 sparc. IP address of the machine is 10.10.100.110 and the hostname is "systest".

The ULOG file extract is as below:

When I run several version of Tuxedo JSL starts without any problem. It establishes the connection easily. But my applications cannot be recompiled with a superior version of tuxedo that's why I am forced to use 6.5. I am confused, whether all the problem of different versions of jerk and Tuxedo or it's my configuration problem. Kindly help me.

    Shashi,

Tuxedo 6.5 needs a patch to run on versions of Solaris or the WSNAT_CAT:1008 or JOLT_CAT:1008 "error: could not establish listening on the network + netaddr address +" message may appear.
The thread could not establish listening on the network address describes a similar problem with the WSL and the ULOG in that thread also "TUXEDO Version 6.5 SunOS 5.5.1".

You can get the fix last roll of Oracle support. (It would be even better to move to a later version of Tuxedo, Tuxedo 6.5 being beyond its end date of life on Solaris. I hope some compilation problems, you later with Tuxedo releases can be solved rather easily.)

  • ViewPlanner fails when the "Connect-Start-workload.

    Hello

I am working on installing a reference ViewPlanner, ViewPlanner 3.5 environment local.

I created the Office of the GoldenRDSH and the Viewplanner device, without AD.

I used Windows 7 32 bit under my desk and Office installed (2010..) and all the necessary applications and tools.

Managed to do the check option, and there is no problems/errors.

However, when I do the execution phase, it fails on the "Connect-Start-workload.

It seems that the ViewPlanner agent is installed incorrectly.

There are two packs zip for Agent of VP (1) for desktop PC (2) to the client.

It seems that this client package is installed in the office instead of an office. You can install the agent desktop of VP and try again?

  • I can't reach the order on Amazon. I get a connection message has been reset

I can't reach the order on Amazon. Can I not move freely to my account. I tried to sign up with other names and addresses of e-mail, but also without success. I disabled anti virus (Avast) and the Windows Firewall, clean cookies etc. I spent some time with Amazon and my server (PlusNet) tries to solve this problem. It also occurs with Internet Explorer and Safari.

The problem lies within my own computer, but does not appear to affect any site other than the Amazon. Reset the connection message is common, what is normal or not I don't know, but when retrial normally goes away when you surf elsewhere

I can access it on Amazon using computers from a neighbor.

I am trying to connect to the ftp server to get a file of.

I used the 'FTP get file.vi.

here a screenshot showing the front and the block diagram:

on the left, there are filezilla showing that the ftp server is very well connected and the remote path showing the files that I want to get one of them "log.txt".

I filled out the same info in my labview vi... and when I type throws this error pops up

    {

Error 0 occurred at the FTPOpen data connection: could not establish connection

    Possible reasons:

LabVIEW: Error connecting to the GPIB driver or device.
    =========================
VISA: (Hex 0x0) operation completed successfully.

    }

I don't know what wrong I do... any ideas?

    Thank you!

Thanks for your reply... I solved the problem ago... tour of false active to passive using the data connection in an active terminal...

another error pops up that I have to put the same file type as the file that I ask for... I did the g:\file.txt local path and it workd very well...

    Thank you

Whenever I run this update, it seems that it installs about 90% of the way but then stops and breaks down about 20 seconds later.  If someone else sees this problem and is at - it a solution?  I'm running Vista Home Premium SP2 and KB2183461 is listed as a critical update for my system.  Help?

Preliminary stage: If the Tea Timer of Spybot is enabled, please disabled until we finished this thread. Seehttp://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=32409

McAfee applications (and Norton) are known for not not upgrade (or uninstall) "clean". If you have McAfee Security Center installed since you bought the computer, he is been updated (automatically) several times. Try the following:

    1. run this triple McAfee fix: http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507

    2. after reinstallation of McAfee Security Center to step #3 patch triple, manually & repeatedly updated McAfee Security Center until you get one invite "no updates more".

    3. OPTIONAL: If you have had problems with IE8, open IE8 (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 & run the difficulty.

    4. OPTIONAL STEP: Open IE8 (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 & run the difficulty by DEFAULT inside and modes and AGGRESSIVE. [1]

5 restart and test by launching a manual check of updates & see if KB2183461 now installs. See...

KB2686509 repeatedly fails with ErrorCode 0x8007F0F4

    It is obsolete

I wrote a VB Script to solve two problems when running microsoft KB2686509 security update

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout
    and
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard layouts

for those who are not freaks of registry.

Here you can download my little fix in the ZIP file.

    What is doing? No magic!

1 made a backup of the registry

2 remove the entries with the keyboard

3 checks each keyentry in Keyboard Layouts against file in %SystemRoot%\System32

Hope I have someone help with this script.

I wrote a batch file too. If you use this place the vbs solution.

It is a little more difficult, because the batch file exports the two keys, the destroyed, creates the empty entries. Then, you must rerun the KB2686509! After this do not restart, press on continue in the command window (restoration of the old entries) and then restart.

If one of the buttons (bad) does not exist, the command file creates an empty entry, so KB2686509 should work.

Here you can download the http://www.vivus.net/dl/ batch file
