  Hello brackman63, this is possible, but I have never had this problem in more than 25 years of working on computers

  You can see if you can install a Sata addon hard drive controller card. There are some of them which are not very expensive. There is of course no guarantee that it would work.

  If the disk controller hard motherboard is defective, then the original hard disk can still be good.

  Just some thoughts.

• Muse: You need to replace the computer.

  Muse: Necessary to replace my computer. Copied files of Muse all in the same "place" on the C drive in my new computer. Now most of the assets is marked "Upload" - including the pdf hundreds. Tried the reissue of many of them to the new folder that contains the links. Bike shop to save - but it will not save the original file of Muse. It closes without saving the changes. Trying to save to a new file, but I get the following message:

  You cannot save Adobe CS2 products as the CS2 products activation server is no longer available. To use a CS2 application, you must uninstall your existing application of CS2.

  Yes, the BIOS of your laptop includes a white list. HP has ceased to put it on the new laptops on time of the year graces last on assembled laptops that later, but the withdrawal from the whitelist was not retroactive. If it was there when your laptop was new, it is still there.

  I have a problem with my S1410-604 in what it will appear not video (from the DVD player or the clips inserted into PowerPoint) through a data projector without turning off the computer screen.   Unfortunately I can't give you a precise answer, but I know very well that if you use display for laptop and external monitor or projector at the same time, it is possible that DVD movie or video applications will be displayed on LCD.

  Try please go to an external device only and after that left the movie DVD or Power Point presentation.

  You are confused of RAM and disk space available.

  RAM stores information temporarily while the Mac is enabled and the application is reached. RAM replacement has no effect on the long term of your information storage.

  The hard drive is where your information is stored in the long term. If you replace your hard drive, you need restore the information from a backup.

  FYI, for your iMac, the maximum RAM is only 6 GB.

  The existing processor is Quad core maximum that you can use.  Your only choice is the Core 2 Duo E6700 or E6850:

  Personally, I'm not sure you'll see an appreciable performance gain with either.  The memory and the video card are major concerns, too.  The system is as strong as its weakest component.

  I upgraded to an Intel i3 - 330 m 2.13 ghz to a technician in w/turbo i520m 2.40 ghz running @ 2.93 max.

  my quest is now trying the i7 - 640 m 2.80 ghz tech w/turbo max to 3.46 ghz that may be upgraded to max processor for this laptop. as I said earlier if the stats from cpu - z and hp manual claim the - 7-720qm and 820qm will work, they do not have, so no chance of a solution of quadruple-heart for this motherboard and find another motherboard tried.   If you have v.F.45 BIOS or more recent version installed you can switch to an Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile Processor T8100, T8300, T9300 or T9500.

  If you don't have a BIOS v.F.45 or more recent version installed, do NOT update the BIOS, now that you have installed W7, or you will be clean your laptop.

  You need to reinstall Vista, Flash the BIOS with the latest version and then reinstall W7.

  Otherwise, you can install one of the Intel processors listed in the service manual, Chapter 1, page 1.

  As far as I KNOW, the serial number of the MacBook does not have the serial number of the processor.
