  Hello.

  The start screen is determined by the deployment of the application profile settings. To replace the default splash screen, you will need to produce a series of files PNG of different sizes and pixel density. The real needs of these files are explained in this section of the documentation of the MAF: http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/maf210/mobile/develop-maf/maf-deploying.htm#ADFMF927

  Once you have produced the images, simply copy you them to the appropriate resources from the application folder, subfolder and select in the "Images of the Application" section of the profile of the deployment, as shown here.

  Easy, just use a clipping path, select your logo/image and go object > Clipping Path > edge detection!

  Sorry, the best way is to make sure that your links have a transparent background in the first place.  If they are Illustrator files or PDF make options appear when you place them, select transparent background.  If the bitmaps be sure to use a clipping path is checked.  If none of those who work, you'll probably make the background transparent yourself.  I might try and tell you how to do for the most common file types, but if you say that the format of logos and images you place first it will speed up the whole lot...

(model number of same parts) The problem I have is, after that Windows 8 logo appears when you first start up, it goes to the black COMMAND screen and it says something about the system is not reconizing cards mothers NAME of THE PRODUCT, INFORMATION SYSTEM. or nothing! On the bottom is says ENTER: PRESS to START NORMAL or something similar! He has never done before, so that I have to reset/upgrade to update the BIOS or what?   The problem was, as I installed it and not a certified HP Tech, the new motherboard was not entered in my system for a lack of a better term! Look at my personal tech for all the info he needed and had it fixed in less than half an hour! Before that, I did follow your advice and update my BIOS nothing helps... but at least it is updated!
