replacement of a cluster member

I tested on a cluster 2 VSA nodes since the past few days and had been very happy with the results.

However, I am struck at this time where I try to simulate a complete crash on 1 of the cluster member. Assuming that 2 or more drives failed on 1 of the Member and the ESXi on this server is unbootable. The 2nd Member will be able to take in charge the entire VSAD and VMs.

After appreciated the hard drive replaced and I re-installed ESXi (of course adding the ESXi to the cluster in VC), I cannot replace members who have not completely. If I clicked on the 'replace' device, I got an error on the network not available.

"Enter VSA Cluster Maintenance Mode" and "Network Mode reconfigure enter" all seem to hang at the bar during the night process. I closed my client and reconnect it again and the status bar disappeared, that is to say I can still click on the SUB page

How can I replace a member of the cluster with a new ESXi installation in the event of complete failure of the server?

Understand clearly state that you are now.  We need to look at the logs, or it may be easier to recreate the cluster.

The procedure for the replacement of a node contains the following:

1) once the host ESXi and Appliance VSA are greyed out do NOT delete

(2) reinstall the failed host but you did before except for use a different address to hostname/ip for the host (caveat for 1.0)

(3) adds to the data center of VC.

(4) through the device Wizard replace.

When the replacement is complete, you can remove the greyed out ESXi host.

Dishes to go - do NOT remove the key host ESXi or VSA VM greyed and do NOT reuse the same address IP/Hostname after reinstallation

  • CAL script to replace the value of Member if...

I have data loaded against Member MidPlan and MasterPlan for 2007 (time)
where MidPlan is not null but MasterPlan is nothing I want to write MidPlan in MasterPlan (overwrite the value null with a number)
and when there is the MasterPlan MidPlan AND I want to ADD and overwrite MasterPlan (with a more accurate number).

Can and how can I do this in a calc script?

    Thank you
    metalray

As a personal practice I do not destroy data, then I would say you have 3 members (1 being the sum of what you want) rather than use only 2 and the value of one of them by replacing with the sum. This way you can always go back, or even to run the script a second time safely. Data problems are quite difficult to debug on their own, you do not need to continue to create your own questions in re-totaling and crash if a calc is accidentally run a second time.

With regard to execution in a calc script, of course.
    Good luck

  • There is no such thing as a cluster of servers - Rolling Restart/Redeploy - consistency managed?

I followed the example of wlst provided with the installation of WebLogic 12.1.2 to perform rolling redeployment (using the gar_common.py script and a test_redeploy.py custom script)

The command I am running is:

    garRedeploy ('GAR','C:\applications\GAR.gar ',' the consistency-cluster "," NODE-SAFE ', ' 120', upload = 'true')

    The error I get is:

There is no such thing as consistency-cluster Cluster

    Leaving WebLogic Scripting Tool.

But I have a running cluster, named 'Coherence-cluster' and I'm able to connect (client node) without any problem.  Any idea what the problem might be?

I would not recommend using a modified version of the gar_common.py. As you can see in the source comments, garRedeploy() is intended to receive a Weblogic cluster, not a cluster of coherence. I tried a modified version that receives a cluster of consistency, and I'm done with additional deployments in external servers to the cluster of consistency, specifically the server administrator.

If your coherence cluster contains several cluster WebLogic, call garRedeploy() for each group of Weblogic.

    Hi SajeevPynadath

    1

First start the server process with "cache - server.cmd".

    2

After that, you can start another process of client or server, the 'coherence.cmd' script is to start a client process to join the cluster.

    3

So now you have 2 processes, and your cluster.xml will look like this:

    171.193.103.25

    8088

    171.193.103.25

    8089

    4

Before you begin each remember process java command line:

    for server

    -Dtangosol.coherence.localhost =171.193.103.25 - Dtangosol.coherence.localport = 8088

    for the customer

    -Dtangosol.coherence.localhost =171.193.103.25 - Dtangosol.coherence.localport = 8089

    Kind regards

    Leo_TA

  • Could not start the 2nd node - Exception ' this cluster node failed to deserialize the config java.io.StreamCorruptedException: invalid type: 100.

I use a single node of consistency on Solaris 10, 64-bit 1.7 JVM. It works very well. However, the problems start when I'm trying to start a 2nd node of Eclipse running on the JVM 64-bit Windows that is configured exactly the same as on Solaris. Observing these two newspapers JVMs, I can see that each node detects the other, however, the node that was started the 2nd always gets the exception below and ends. It doesn't matter on what OS I starts it's always the 2nd JVM that gets this error.

What can be wrong? What is my config? If it wasn't, why the first node set up and working properly?

    Here's the exception:

  • Error: Put an end to this cluster node due to unrecoverable service failure

Our group had some kind of fault which appeared only today. The origin seems to have been almost a month ago, but the symptoms have shown barely.

The node in question is a stand-alone instance running a DistributedCache service with local storage. It produces the following to standard output the Jan-22:

Coherence < error >: put an end to this cluster node due to unrecoverable service failure

It has definitely failed today with OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space.

    We lack consistency - 3.5.2.jar.

Q1: Looks like this node failed on Jan - 22 and yet we have not noticed. What is the best way to monitor the status of the node?
Q2: What could be the root cause of such a mistake?

I found the following in the log:

    Hello

It seems that the problem is in this case the call to clear() which will attempt to load all the entries stored in the overflow system to emit events of cache to the listeners. Probably, this requires much more memory, there are lots of Java available, so the OOM.

Our recommendation in that case is to call destroy() as this will bypass the same shot.

  • Formula of Member who recognizes the operator of consolidation...

    Here's the scenario.

We have a hierarchy of accounts with an account of the dynamic calc that calculates the amount of the "tax" on our Net income. However, each feature has a different calculation for taxes, so we have a member formula that calculates taxes for this entity and descendants based on a stored percentage. This percentage is stored at a low level for each business entity because senior level members are a summary of the different calculations.

However, we have several "alternate" hierarchies, which must also calculate taxes on them, but that these are constantly changing, we don't want to have to keep changing the formula of Member for the calculation of the tax.

    For example:
    The hierarchy of accounts:
    Net income (loss) (dynamic)
    -Net pre-tax income (+) (dynamic)
    -Taxes (-) (dynamic)
-(+) (Dynamic form) of tax calculation
    -Other Taxes (+) (stored)

    The hierarchy of entities:

    Main company
    --The company also
    -Division 1
    -Division 2
    -Division 3
    -Company B
    --B division 1
    --B division 2
    -B, Division 3
    -Company C
    --C division 1
    --C division 2
    --Division 3 c
    Stacks of spare
    -Company less a Division 3
    -Shared company a (+)
    --A Division 3 (-) shared
    -Total without C company
    -Shared company a (+)
    -Shared company B (+)

So the formula of Member for the calclulation of the tax is now:
    IF (@ISIDESC ('company A'))
    "Net profit before tax" * "Division 1"-> "tax percentage";
    ELSE IF (@ISIDESC ("company B"))
    "Net profit before tax" * "Division B 1"-> "tax percentage";
    ELSE IF (@ISIDESC ("C company"))
    "Net profit before tax" * "Division C 1"-> "tax percentage";
    ENDIF

The problem is that the alernate rollups have no any calculation of tax. To make them, we must therefore specfy them as well:
IF (@ISMBR ("company within Division 3"))
    "Society has"-"Division 3";
ELSE IF (@ISMBR ("Total less company C"))
    "Society has" + "company B";
    ENDIF

There are tons of these hierarchies replacing, so this formula member becomes difficult to manage. In addition, business users now have to know that if they change an operator of consolidation on the entities, they also change the calc script.

My question is - is it possible that I can 'default' member formula to use the consolidation of entities when calcualting for some entities, instead of having to specify in the formula itself?

    I tried to use another
    @SUM (@DESCENDANTS (@CURRMBR ("Entities")))
who works for these hierarchies replacing who no longer like the cosolidation.

Is it possible to do what I'm trying to do here? This must be a dynamic calc and I don't want to significantly change the structure of the database.

    Thank you.

One thing is not clear, if hierarchy as substitute parents ' company A under Division 3 'are "stored" or "dynamic Calc." members. "

If they are dynamic calc, which makes them "twopass" will happen your solution without any necessary calculations for other hierarchies in the calculation of the TAX.

If they are stored, it gets a bit more complex.

I guess that we can achieve this marking UDAs as shown below.

    For example, in this case

    -Company less a Division 3
-Company shared a (+) (UDA: ADD)
    --A Division 3 (-) shared (UDA: SUB)

and the calculation for hierarchies of alternatives can be as shown below.
    @SUM (@remove (@DESCENDANTS (@CURRMBR("Entities")), @UDA ("Entities", "SUB"))) - @SUM (@remove (@DESCENDANTS (@CURRMBR ("Entities")), @UDA ("Entities", "ADD")))

I did not test this, but I guess that it should work in your scenario. Let me know the result of that.

  • Can I create different consistency nodes in the same cluster with defferent?

Can I create consistency different nodes in the same cluster with defferent cache - config.xml file?
A cache can be distributed in these nodes of deffirent?

Yes. You can create different consistency nodes in the same cluster with cache files - config.xml defferent as long as you use the same file tangosol - coherence.xml and the same file tangosol-coherence - override.xml. But you can't store the data in the cache in the various nodes (created with different cache-config file). In other words, a node only to create their own Hide modes that are launched with the same cache file - config.Xml.

    See the following demo:
I start a cache using the cache config examples-cache file server - server.xml. Then I start a console cache storage-disabled people (client cache) by using the config file coherence-cache cache - config.Xml. Two of them using the same file tangosol - coherence.xml and the same file tangosol-coherence - override.xml.
The cache server uses a cache service PartitionedPofCache. But the client side using the Distributedcache service. The cluster address is same 224.3.5.2.
The name of the cluster is also samme. They know.

  • Server cannot connect to the cluster

    Hello

I was scratching my head on this problem for a while. I have three servers using the same file config-cache-coherence: run within weblogic, one is the control application coherence.sh and the third is an invocation of the java class DefaultCacheServer. All servers are running on the same computer.

Oddly enough, the first two connect properly while the latter does not.

You can see the members of the cluster first two in this release of coherence.sh:

    Bq. Lt & 17:13:27.132 2008-12-16 Oracle coherence GE 3.3.1/389; D5 & gt; (thread = Cluster Member = n/a): Service DistributedCache is 1 associate member senior member 1-SafeCluster: Name = essOM------group {address = 224.3.3.1, Port = 4490, TTL = 0}
However, when I got the hang of the DefaultCacheServer I get the following

Bq. Oracle Version consistency 3.3.1/389-Grid edition: development------Copyright (c) 2000-2007 Oracle. I understand that this is not enough information to fully solve the problem but I would like to apprecia\te all tips and direcxtions to solve this. If more info is needed I will find and post here

    Hi Steve,.

Looks like you don't have true (see http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH33UG/distributed-scheme) in the cache configuration descriptor.

  • MapListener is not survive after the cluster service is restarted

According to this article, MapListener will survive restart of the service, however, is not what we have seen in our environment.

Re: Link MapListener on restarting the Service

    We use 3.3.1/389.

We have an application running as disabled storage node which acts also as a MapListener on a cache.
This application performs certain actions when entry inserted/updated to day occur.

However, we have observed that when there is network problem, the cluster service will be shutdown. And
This application will not join the cluster after that the network problem go away. Here is what we
light at the end of the journal.

We recalled the previous discussion on the forum that consistency will not restart the cluster service until
One needs. Fine, so we add a monitor who will call routely CacheFactory.ensureCluster () each
minute since the original application only will using cluster service when it receives events from MapListener.

Well, after we put in this thread to monitor. We saw the cluster service restart and this request will be
join the cluster when network problem solved. However, not even any of the insert/update. The MapListener
is not after the cluster service is restarted. Here is the log after that we put in the monitor to call ensureCluster().

According to this article, this problem could be solved using MemberLister.

Listener for events of cache recovery

If we implement the MemberLister, and we get MemberLeft event when the cluster service has obtained the judgment.
However, we receive no MoreRejoignez event at all when this application join the cluster.

The MemberListener has been added to the CacheService belong to the cache, we added the MapListener. It seems
the MemberListener don't survive that restart CacheService in this case, so no cases of MoreRejoignez received.

Now the question arises. What can we do to ensure that MapListener can survive restarting the cluster service
in our case? Or is there a way for us to detect that the MapListener is not valid more so one reattach necessary?

    Kind regards

    Chen

    Hi Chen,

In the thread of your monitor, instead of CacheFactory.ensureCluster () you can call cache.size () (on a cache that you added another to.)

    Kind regards
    Dimitri

  • Problem is WKA to work

I use 3.3 consistency on RHEL.

I did a simple test to understand how addresses Well Known worked and tried this test:

I created a replacement file with the following

    < coherence >
    unicast-listener <>
    < well-known-address >
    < code socket-address = "1" >
    < address > 10.100.4.54 < / address >
    < port > 9200 < / port >
    < / socket-address >
    < code socket-address = "2" >
    < address > 10.100.4.54 < / address >
    < port > 9400 < / port >
    < / socket-address >
    < / well-known-address >
    < / unicast earphone >
    < / coherence >

On one of the servers, I ran the following command
    java-Dtangosol.coherence.override=./ra-coherence-override.xml-Dtangosol.coherence.localport=9200-jar./coherence.jar+.

    leading to the following

On another machine I want to join this group, I ran the following command

    java-Dtangosol.coherence.wka=toro-app03-Dtangosol.coherence.wka.port=9200-jar./coherence.jar+.

But I get the following error:

This member could not join the cluster due to an incompatibility between this member configuration and the configuration used by the rest of the cluster. This member is set to use the WKA but isn't running cluster. This is due to one of the addresses on list WKA of this member in use on a non - WKA cluster. * 2008-12-12 17:07:13.515 GE Oracle coherence 3.3/387 < D5 > (thread = Cluster, Member = n/a): Service de Cluster left the cluster *.

I can solve this problem by starting the first server with the following command

    java-Dtangosol.coherence.wka=toro-app03-Dtangosol.coherence.wka.port=9200-Dtangosol.coherence.localport=9200-jar./coherence.jar*.

Why is he in the first case the server not recognized as having a WKA boot?

    Thank you

This happens because the first node is not put into service configured WKA. Looks like there could be a typing error in your config file. I think that XML schema should look like:

    ...

I think you are missing the cluster-config; can try again you with who?

  • Toshiba Satellite S50 - A - is dead HARD drive?

Hello.. I hope I can get some answers from other owners of S50 - A or least maybe a tech?... are these discs defective or only supposed to last two years so you get out of your wallet again so Toshiba infiltrates the money from you?

My father bought this laptop for me for the College and school so I can work and play at the same time it's about 2 years old...

    Model of care &: S50 - A Satellite, model # PSKKEC - 00G 007 - Intel i5 - Geforce GTX A 740 m - to-SATA 1.

2 years... Since purchasing computers laptops are pretty perfect, I have done regular upward Dungeon defragments hard-ware/anti virus scans and every quarter I ran across a sweep of care system advanced... everything was fine.

The only games I play quite a lot on this laptop is counter-strike Global Offensive by H1Z1... a week ago, I was on teamspeak and it said that I had a driver error and tells me to restart, I did... and that's where it went all down hill...

I had a lot of mistakes, lack of funds etc., tried to do a reset from the pc, is not called zero also tried to try a restore of the system without success... hard disk started vibrating and making a 'written' sound (as the disc has been actively writing incredibly fast..) it was so distorted, I couldn't save any recent stuff... (last back up I did was about 3-4 months before)... no all my photos & academic materials are uploaded to servers online, so I was Biggie don't like meh, whatever... I listen to music on spotify so care to lose all that.

My only option was to format the disk and do a clean install... what worked for one week... was able to update all my drivers download/install geforce experience and my anti virus program, log in to my school credentials and downloaded steam... everything was going a lot and yesterday after a session of one hour of h1z1 I quit the game and when I tried to open my browser google chrome that nothing answered, the button start to reset would not answer the computer literally just does not react anymore than all...

Forced a restart and got bsod - unmountable_boot_volume - entered the command... prompt he says pretty well sound replacing each bad cluster known to man... nothing was fixed/repaired... do you have a chkdsk c:/r/f and got this - an unspecified error 766f6c756d652e63 3f1

I am ready to throw in the towel on this... I guess that Toshiba gives a 1 year warranty on all hardware related Articles?... so there is no point in calling me to and ship unless I want to pay an arm and one leg for another 1 TB sata-one that will only last another 2 years?... or should I go to some place local tech and get them to install a crucial 2.5 "500 GB SSD?

People of any options?... I am open for them.

    Thanks for reading,

    See you soon.

    HARD drive seems defective.
SSD is a good choice, but avoid those that use a starforce controller, since they have more problems than others.
The Intel and Samsung SSD seem to be the most compatible.

  • Is it allowed to use property value nodes?

To remove the problems of spaghetti, I need to delete rows.

Previously, I used local variables, but the values written to local variables could not be found in time.

So I started using nodes of property value instead.

Are safe as substitutes to the lines?

    CITA wrote:

LabVIEW includes wires, no lines. What do you mean by "need". WO is you force?

    The program work correctly?

So you have beautiful, clean and narrow (son) 1 d elements and that you want to replace by larger elements 2D (local variables, the property value nodes) across face significantly more chart area?

Because you now also remove the dependencies of hard data, you probably need to add sequence structures, to keep racing in failure conditions. This will clutter the diagram even more! Why do you think that is the solution to your problems?

Basically, you replace spaghetti with something worse still, for example, the content of the dumpsters behind an Italian restaurant after a night occupied.

    CITA wrote:

What is your definition of "appropriate"? The use of knots of property and local variables does NOT accelerate your code. In fact it will make it slower. As mentioned, race conditions can indeed retrieve outdated values before they have been updated to the current values elsewhere, so "timely" could easily turn into "too early."

If you have performance problems, you don't want to chop the code and become even more fragmented.

    CITA wrote:

They have exactly the same problem as local variable, but are more demanding on resources. What was your thought process, perhaps?

    CITA wrote:

Yet once, LabVIEW didn't 'lines', except in the range of decoration. Local variables and property nodes make code significantly less safe, because they make them much more difficult to find and avoid race conditions. They also make debugging almost impossible.

You can start from scratch with a design template set and a code well structured and hierarchical.

If you still think there are too many wires, consider using clusters and berries. Dozens of scalar son can replace a single cluster thread. A multidimensional array can carry millions of data points in a single thread. You get the point!

It is difficult to give advice more targeted without actually seeing some of your code. Feel free to join so we can give more specific comments. There are many examples here in the forum where we were able to copy the HTML code to 10% of the original size while making it faster and cleaner at the same time still to add additional features. All this without the need for local variables and property nodes.

  • ESXi underperformance of the r.620 vs R610

    All,

I currently run a server R610 (X 5550 procs) and a unit r.620 newly acquired (e5-2650) unit in a vSphere cluster 5. ESXi running the latest version and the latest patches. Dell servers up-to-date with respect to the firmware of all components. The unit uses internal 15 k SAS R610 leads to host the ESXi hypervisor, while the r.620 uses 2 GB SD cards in mirror for the ESXi hypervisor.

When I migrated some workloads on the new cluster member (r.620), I've seen some of our process execution times increase dramatically. The process performed on a MS SQL 2008 r2 server. When I migrated the VM on the initial cluster member (r610), execution time is back to the normal time.

I went then to face a series of landmarks a test virtual machine that has been migrated back and forth between each Member of the cluster and seen repeatable results that showed that the r.620 was SLOWER than the R610 in terms of CPU and memory benchmarks (using Passmark v7.0). Cluster using the EVC Nahalem mode. I have also conducted tests by removing the VCA mode and was able to get similar results with the R610 being the fastest performer.

I checked all the cores and hyperthreading is enabled. A glance at the guide of best practices for ESXi 5.0 gave anything different in my setup...

Has anyone seen or heard talk about these issues with the r.620 unit, or E5-2650 processors?

    Thank you

    Elvis

We had the same problem with our new r.620 (2650v2-E5). The performance was well below our old R710 (X 5550).

We could solve the problems of performance and to maintain a good ratio of energy saving dig by adjusting the profile' system settings ' in the BIOS:
