• Printing reports in EBS R12

  Our EBS R12 worked without problem for months. Today users have complained that they are unable to print all reports.
  Previously, when this happens, I just restart managers simultaneously and power off, they go again. Or I have to restart all processes at the level of the Apps and DB level because they can afford to wait 5 minutes. Or worse the solution is to restart the server itself. Be that as it may, the problem has been resolved before.
  But today, I have tried all of these procedures, but still reports do not print.
  
  No idea how hard to pull of this problem? Thank you very much.

• How do I abort or kill or cancel suspended adoption patch run? (EBS R12.2.4)

  Check patches (adoption-status) without previous state, I applied a fix to help:

  But I got the following error:

• EBS R12.1.1 database copy windows on windows?

  I'm a developer of report. I have two servers (VMs)
  
  Server1: Win 2008, Oracle EBS R12.1.1.
  Server2: Win XP SP3, about to install Oracle 11 g R1
  
  My goal is to copy the entire base of the EBS R12.1.1 Vision Instance (SCREW) on Server1 to 2 Oracle database... And please not that I don't need the data in these patterns - I use to run ETL scripts, so on server 2, I'm not going to run any Applications(Forms, or reports or others) EBS.
  
  To do this I think using http://www.dba-oracle.com/oracle_tips_db_copy.htm, or RMAN method...
  
  Now my questions are:
  1. can I use one of the above methods?
  2. If Yes, for the two methods above, during the installation of target (Server 2) database do I need select the option "Create Starter Database (additional 1482 MB)"? I'm in a crisis of large disk space, so I prefer not to select this option, but can I follow above methods clone with on the creation of a database of startup in the target system?

  Yes, but if you are not familiar with RMAN or backup/recovery methods is perhaps not easy (or simple) to you.

  Even if you do not create a new database, you will eventually have the same size of database after you copy files or use RMAN (backup/restore). Size of your target on the target database database will be exactly the same size of database on the source database.

  I would prefer that you use one of the following methods instead of RMAN:

  (1) quick clone (clone the node in database only layer and this is the best option for you) - cloning Oracle Applications V12 with rapid Clone [406982.1 ID]

  (2) the method in the link referenced by you

  (3) export/tax (which takes a lot of time):

  Export/import process for R12 using 11 GR 1 material or 11 GR 2 [741818.1 ID]
  Export/import process for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 using 10gr 2 [454616.1 ID]

  Hello. I just started to install internet architecture EBS R12. The architecture is:
  
  Client tier-> Middle Tier-Tier database-> operating system >

  The middle tier includes Instance home, concurrent processing server, Apache Server, journal of the Forms Server and report server log.
  
  The client tier includes the HTTP Web server and applications Technology Stack (Native Sun JRE).
  
  I'm not sure if you need to install all the files of middle-tier or client tier.
  
  Can people you tell me what files are required to be installed for the client tier and middle tier?

  I installed Oracle Database 11 g 1 material in BONES 'Oracle Linux 5 '.

  You don't need to install the database separately as quick installation will install the database for you and then install the application tier node files (Web forms, CM... etc).

  The client tier includes the HTTP Web server and applications Technology Stack (Native Sun JRE).

  The client tier includes Sun JRE and you don't have to install them separately. The first time you access any customer application it will prompt to install the Sun JRE from the server.

  I'm not sure if you need to install all the files of middle-tier or client tier.

  You don't need to.

  Can people you tell me what files are required to be installed for the client tier and middle tier?

• Safety of the unit operation of the OBIEE EBS R12

  Previously, I joined OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 with EBS 11.5.10 and I created 3 blocks of initialization EBS Single Sign on integration, get EBS security context, the responsibility of EBS group and 2 reference static variables ORA_EBS_OLTP_DSN, ORA_EBS_OLTP_USER and finally configured pools connections on the side of repository. I put the execute connect on request to call the function "app_initialize" of the EBS.
  
  Now I am trying to set up integration with EBS R12 and have founded business unit security. To do this, I created an additional initialization block to fill the OU_ORG variable. Is this block extra enough to set the security of operating in R12 unit. As I am being able to connect EBS R12 in the responses, but the session does not appear to be initialized and does not appear the data in reports. I have the metalink document follwoed to define integration for EBS 11.5.10. Is it the same for R12 or all other measures must be made?

  R12 is different in terms of security of the org.
  You must call mo_global.init('S') or similar.

• Only Lexmark 4227 more printer is supported for Oracle EBS R12.0.6?

  Our sysadmin installed Lexmark 4227 more printer on AIX 5.3.7 print perfectly from AIX. But when I register printer in EBS R12.0.6, it is printing garbage for a text type report. Definitions of driver for Lexmark printer not found. How to set? I'm unable to solve the problem. Can someone help me?
