Hello

Your printer is not on the following list, which may not have a claim code:

  • DeskJet 1010: Deskjet 1010 will not be printed, but said there

    Hello

Recently, I replaced the black cartridge in my printer HP Deskjet 1010. Subsequently, the printer would not print. Specifically, can I order a print job and it appears in my queue for a few moments, but then he quickly said that the job is done and it disappears. For now, I tried to remove and add the printer as a tool; installed the latest driver from the HP website and even tried removing and replacing the black ink cartridge. Nothing has worked yet.

Thank you for all of the solutions you can provide.

    Hi littleteapot123,

Thank you very much for your answers!

Can I only noticed that your screenshot says that you are using a PCL driver generic Laser Printer. Tells me that this might be the wrong driver for this printer. I recommend you to uninstall the printer software.

After uninstalling, reset the printing system, then download and install the software from this link, series printer HP Deskjet 1010 full feature software and drivers. The driver should be listed as printer HP Deskjet 1010. Sometimes, it might have the series of Word in the title.

    I hope these steps help!

  • Change the order to print on a HP Deskjet 1010

On the Advanced tab in the Options for layout, I don't have the choice to change the printing order.  I tried following the instructions given to someone else, but I don't seem to have the option "back to front".  I'm sure I'm in the wrong place, but I tried every tab I can find.  Thank you.

    Hello @chogekat,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you don't have an option to change the order of the pages using the Deskjet 1010. If you do not have this option in the layout options, then you can not change the order of pages. What is your operating system on your computer? Windows or Mac?

You can try to install another driver on your computer. If you have a WIndows computer, please follow this HP document to install another print driver in Windows 7 for a USB cable connection. Install a Deskjet 450, as it has an option to change the order of pages.

Please post your results, I will be looking forward to hear from your part have a good night!

  • HP Deskjet 1010 printer does not print

Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit. New Deskjet 1010 printer will print only in the program of LibreOffice.  When I try to print from the internet or if I try to print a file on my computer, I get the message: "an error occurred during printing.

I was copying and pasting into LibreOffice in order to print, but it's much too long. Hoping someone can help. Thank you.

In my original post, I said that I had downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the HP site.  I haven't restarted after installing the drivers of thinkI.  A few days later, after that I restarted the system, the printer work properly. Just a reminder to restart after an update like this.   Thanks for your reply.

  • HP Deskjet 1010: HP Deskjet 1010 incomplete printing - best example - on Print & Scan Doctor

On the test page for the doctor of printing & scanning HP, the text at the top is not readable, it's so light (a turquoise? color). Below the color test of the band on this page, on the edge of the test of the line, the lines are very light (light turquooise?) at the edge of the left and right margin.  (I'm not surré is something else isn't visible which should be.)  For print-out page alignment, all lines except two (series D and series I) are not printed as well as printed sheet is completely unnecessary to complete the answer to the question sheet.

I had used (same model HP Deskjet 1010) until he developed the problem described above. Thinking it was a printer problem, I replaced the existing printer with a brand new HP Deskjet 1010 (same model), I bought for a long time as a backup replacement printer.  I found out even with the new printer, I had the same problem as the previous printer.

(I also have a HP PSC that prints very well without any problem).

    Welcome @casey-CA,

Thanks to their participation in Forums of HP! I see by your post that the black does not print correctly. Please provide detailed information of all that. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Do you use the same cartridges for the printer on the other?

I would try the steps listed in this document, they should help to solve this problem: the problems of quality Print to the HP Deskjet 1010 and series printer Deskjet Ink Advantage 1010

If you are still having the same problem of printing print Diagnostics page then it would be a hardware problem and not software related. Let me know the results.

    Hi diamondfire49,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see you have a few problems the printer connection to your Mac which has Yosemite as operating system.

This model of printer doesn't have a full set of features of software and the driver for the operating system you are using.

I suggest that you try the following HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers.

    Thanks for your time.

    See you soon,.

  • Black cartridge HP Deskjet 1010: #61 for HP Deskjet 1010

I have a HP Deskjet 1010, which uses #61 black HP ink cartridge.  Because the printer is in my vacation home, it gets used only two weeks every six months.  I bought a new cartridge in may 2015.  When I arrived (13/10/15) and you try to print, the printer prints a very feint light gray.  I ran the diagnostics and everything out very well.  The ink level is good.  If I change the setting black only printer and then nothing prints (blank page).  With the print setting Guality grayscale or grayscale to offshore high on, printing is a light gray to feint.  Barely readable.  When this happened in may, I replaced the black printer cartridge and printing was fine.  The date on the cartridge is 10, 2016.  Since I would rather not keep replacement printer cartridges every six months, especially when the ink level is full, I would like to find a solution to this problem.   Should I remove and store the cartridge when the printer will not be used for a long period of time?   Any help you can give me will be appreciated.

The best place to store the cartridges is usually in the printer, but for your case where the printer is used very rarely, it may be preferable to remove the cartridges and store them as shown in the document here.

You may be able to recover the black cartridge plugged by soaking the print head with nozzles downwards in a cup of hot water for ten minutes about.  After soaking, remove the cartridge and dry the electric contacts with a wipe free of fluff (a clean coffee filter works well) and then put it back in the printer.

  • DeskJet 1010: Missing menu Option Deskjet 1010?

In the menu "Paper Format" Deskjet 1010, there is a "Custom" option, but when you select it opens a window to specify your custom size (as my other HP printers do.) How can one specify a custom paper size?

    Hello @ Ripcord1,

    Open devices and Printers window.

Right-click on the icon of your 1010 and select printer properties.

Click on the tab labeled ports and note the port used by the printer.

Of printer, click Add in the upper left corner.

    Select Add a local printer.

Select the use an existing port.

Choose the port to which your printer is working since.

Choose HP as manufacturer and select the deskjet driver in the list of printers on the right.

create a printer name, I would say something to indicate that it is for the custom size.

This should link the other drivers for your printer.

Welcome to the HP community @suhaibqureshi,

I've read about printing problems you encounter on 10 Windows when you try to print to your Deskjet 1010 and wanted to tender hand to try to help.

    1. first run the print and Scan of the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results. Send me the results when finished.

2 try to run the HP printer install Windows Wizard to ensure that the updated drivers are installed on your computer.

    3. try to print from a few different programs and let me know what programs you have tested and if they print.

    Good luck!

  • Create process failed; code 740 the requested code requires an elevation trying to download the latest version of Any Video Converter

While I was trying to download the latest version of Any Video Converter I got the message: create process failed; code 740; the requested code requires a rise.  What does that mean and what should I do to be able to download this program?

    Hello

    (1) have you made changes before the start of this issue?

    (2) what website you are trying to download from?

    (3) when exactly you get the error message? While trying to download or install?

    (4) what browser do you use?

    (5) can you download and install other applications/programs successfully?

Create process Failed: Code 740 is an error which is caused by Windows being unable to load the permissions that your computer needs to function correctly.

Try disabling the user account control:

Enable or disable the User Account Control

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-user-account-control-on-or-off

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

Let us know if that helps.

I'll upgrade to Windows 10, just check to see if my Deskjet 1010 will go with me. It currently works on Windows 7. The 1010 Deskjet is perfect for the little printing I do, I don't want to change printers if I have to.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

As mentioned here : most applications and designed for Windows 7, hardware drivers or later should work with Windows 10

Windows 10 is not yet officially released. Unless it is officially released drivers, no official support is present. For now, no official guarantee cannot be provided. However, I am sure that it will work properly. 10 Windows should recognize automatically.

  • HP Deskjet 1010: Option to print to a printer HP 1010 preview?

Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at my question.

I just setting to the top of my HP Deskjet 1010, and everything seems to work well.  However, I'm actually know if there was a way to establish this printer to allow a dialog option "print preview"?

I looked through this forum a bit, as well as google the question, but I did not find this problem with the same model as mine. From what I've been able to tell, I don't think I have that option, but I wanted to make sure, that I find very useful.

    I'm running XP Home SP3.

    Sincere greetings,

    b1rd

Here's a screenshot of my "set preferences" If this is useful to my question:

    Hello @b1rd,

Thanks for posting in the Forums of HP and welcome!

I understand that you have questions about the use of preview before printing with your printer HP Deskjet 1010. I want to help you with this.

The reason why you were unable to find all the information about whether your HP Deskjet 1010 supports print preview, is because it is not a feature of the printer or the printer software.

Print preview is a part of the software that you are printing from. If the software includes the ability for you to get an overview of your print jobs, or it doesn't. This is not vary by printer, or change if you are using another driver print.

For example, Internet explorer provides a print preview option, the notebook doesn't have.

    I hope this helps!
