Kingston 2 GB data traveler file erasure

I have a 2 GB Kingston data traveler who has some pictures I want to erase, but I lost the manual.

Any suggestions on how to proceed is appreciated.

All the same way you delete all the other files, go to them and delete.  Unless this element has some sort of data locking mechanism, in which case visit the Kingstons for more information.

Try to use the tool of media recovery. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-usb-recovery-drive. The USB has a boot device.

.. who has worked on the same USB stick 32 GB .  BUT it is not the same as in the HP Recovery Manager.

Don't bother more. I accept the foregoing as a solution.

Good luck with users who have this laptop. Also issues with the network adapter to which I am trying to fix at the moment.

Data traveler works in other PCs without worries.
Have tried to uninstall all components USB, reboot and re-installation, etc.
No problem display in Device Manager.
The mobo had 4 port USB 1.1, which I disabled it in the BIOS.
I have WIN HOME XPSP3, with all updates.

    Hi Vinod, n.

    Thanks for your information.
After a long, frustrating period of USB problems and having all your suggestions and a lot of myself, I think I found the solution for the problem with a utility from the manufacturer of the motherboard.
Gigabyte provides a set of utilities with their mobo installation cd. Included is a display of system utility, cpu temperatures. When I got it running in the background, he seems to have caused the problems I described with Kingston data traveler. Check with the activation of the utility (GWUM) and by inserting the traveler data, causing two of them to hang on. Disabling the GWUM and inserting the data traveler = no problem!
    Strange but true.

  • Kingston Data Traveller urdrive soft does not work

Original title: Kingston Data Traveller urdrive app

Does not load under win7 64-bit.   The application starts to load and then stops just... anyone?

    Hello

It's Michael UrDrive team.  I'm sorry that you have this problem with UrDrive.  I would like to help but will need certain information in order to solve this problem.
When UrDrive loading stops, you see an error message?  For example, you see a message "this disc is not authorized to run this software."?  The error message can be hidden behind other open windows.
Can you tell me what the Kingston Data Traveler flash drive model you are using?
Can you tell me what version UrDrive?  This can be found by: 1. from Windows Explorer, click the folder/drive associated with the flash player. 2. right click on the UrDrive.exe and select properties from the context menu to launch the urDrive.exe Properties window. 3. in the urDrive.exe Properties window, click the details table. The version of the product should be displayed.
Could you please leave your email so I can contact you directly?  If you prefer, you can contact support UrDrive directly to * address email is removed from the privacy *.  Mention this message in your email.
I hope hear from you soon.

  • How to install a driver for USB Kingston Data Traveler 100 G3 routine

I failed to get the key USB Kingston Data Traveler 100 G3 work on one of my computers (Windows 7).

But I have in fact on another computer and I found that this driver is signed by Microsoft Windows. The version is 6.12.7601.17577. The date is 2006-06-21.

So I want just a site where I could download the driver routine.

I finally received a response from a company of the retail, Claes Ohlson. There is a hardware thing lacking on computers more alumni who explains why the Kingston 3.0 will not work. It will make no difference, if I reinstall Windows. Kingston or other Zalman services could give me this answer. Neither Microsoft Community could give this answer. So I end the question.

  • Windows 7 don't recognizese (of Kingston Data traveler) USB storage device what to do?

When I insert the device and and open 'computer' from the beginning, the device is not displayed. It impossible to access the files on the storage device. Diagnosis of Windows cannot solve the problem.

Click on the USB icon in your taskbar [is at the right end of the taskbar].

The list of devices USB it defines?  It will probably say eject Data traveller G3 or similar.  [Mine also has a second line showing the name of the device & the drive letter assigned, but, from your description, your won't be]  Just get rid of this list without taking action - press ESC or click on an empty part of the taskbar.

If the device was seen in this list then the computer management utility can configure to use.  In the search box of the start menu, type Manage then right click on the shortcut for the management of the computer that is available & select run as administrator.  You will then need to enter your admin password.

Once the computer management opens, select disk management.  You will see a list & a set of diagrams illustrating each drive.  The data traveler should be included but will not have a drive letter identified.  As well the list & the graphical bits so you can be positive about what the correct entry [your hard drive may be critical special partitions that do not require a drive letter and you don't want to mingle with them or you will paralyze your system].  Select it in the list which seems to be the data traveler & its graphic display will then be a projection shading lines on it.  Have a good look to make sure that it really is the right one.  Scripture shows the correct unit size?  It shows that it is in the format [in the fourth column of the list - file system], probably in NTFS or FAT32?

If this all sounds good, then right click on the entry in the list & select change the letter drive & paths.  Then, in the dialog box that appears, click the Add button...  Then in the new dialog box that appears, click in the option button to select assign the following drive letter , and then select a drive letter from those that are available in the drop-down list to the right of these words.  Then click OK, OK again.  And then close the computer management window.  You will get a warning that anything currently which refer to this player will get disturbed by the drive letter change, but that is normal.  Windows Explorer does not display the drive with the drive letter you assigned - this will be the same drive letter, each time that you connect the device again.

  • How data travels in the iSCSI Configuration

    Hello

I'm a little confused about how DATA moves through an environment of VI3.5 using iSCSI SAN.

Before, I am attaching a schema, so everyone will be on the same page.

    It is a scenario with two servers ESX (ESX1 and ESX2), a physical server (Server1) and 4 Virtual Machines. (VM1 ~ 4)

vmnic0 is for traffic Service console and the virtual machine.

vmnic1 is for vmotion, but on the same subnet that are Virtual Machines.

vmnic2 and 3 are for iSCSI and Service console for iscsi on a different subnet and different switch.

The example is for the understanding of the performance and the communication network and not for security reasons.

I know that when you want to use VMotion and HA, you need to use Shared Storage (IE iSCSI SAN) and your virtual machines are stored on the SAN.

    Here are my questions:

1 - is this correct design?

2-if I want to copy a VM1 VM2 to file, how data moves? (knowing that both are stored on the same SAN and they are both on the same ESX Server)

3-if I want to copy a file from VM1 to VM3, how data moves? (Knowing that both are stored on the same SAN but they are on different ESX servers)

4-if I want to copy a file to the server Server1 to VM1, how data moves?

5 - If you do a VMotion VM1 from ESX1 ESX 2, how data travel? (I know for VMotion the contents of the RAM to the virtual computer will be copied to the second serve of ESX) This will affect the performance of the local network?

    6. What do you recommend to monitor traffic on vmnic?

Please include the question number in your response.

    Thank you

1 - is this correct design?

    OK for iSCSI.

But you do not HA hat on the breakdown of the network cable or the NETWORK card (for the first 2 vswitches).

It is good to have iSCSI separated by VM and VMotion, but usual for each vSwitch to give at least 2 cards of uplink.

You can for example put VMotion and VM on vswitch, using 2 NICs and affecting a NIC preferred for the virtual machine and a preferred (different) for VMotion NETWORK card.

2-if I want to copy a VM1 VM2 to file, how data moves? (knowing that both are stored on the same SAN and they are both on the same ESX Server)

VM1 and VM2 could talk via the network of the VM.

So VM1 get data from the vmknic2/3 (if is not in the cache of the comments), copy to network (vmknic0), VM and then store the data (and goes to vmknic2/3)

3-if I want to copy a file from VM1 to VM3, how data moves? (Knowing that both are stored on the same SAN but they are on different ESX servers)

Same as before, using 2 ESXs

4-if I want to copy a file to the server Server1 to VM1, how data moves?

    vmknic0, then vmknic2/3

5 - If you do a VMotion VM1 from ESX1 ESX 2, how data travel? (I know for VMotion the contents of the RAM to the virtual computer will be copied to the second serve of ESX) This will affect the performance of the local network?

    vmknic1

    6. What do you recommend to monitor traffic on vmnic?

You can use the tab Performance on ESX.

  • Toshiba satellite which is stuck in the installation of service Pack 1. I have service pack 2, can not fix with this cd, can I install service Pack 2 on it without loss of data or files?

I have the laptop (Toshiba satellite) friend who's stuck in the installation of the service Pack 1.  I have service pack 2 and am wondering, since I can't fix with this cd, can I install service Pack 2 on it without loss of data or files?

PC claims service pack1 cd with file asms

When you use service pack 2 cd can not load product catalogues, it is fatal error, the Setup logs files should contain more information.

Why not integrate Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 3 on her XP CD by following the instructions here (using another PC):

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/1443.aspx
Copy all data on an external hard drive, do a clean install using the XP CD updated (preferably on the BIOs)
Then, install the drivers from the system, then Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows 7 Firewall Control (XP free Version) and Malwarebytes' AntiMalware (free or Pro) or whatever you prefer security.
    Then copy the files over.
This will probably lead to the best performance.
  • data prefetch file

I want to know about DATA PREFETCH file, which has been inadvertently deleted. It can be restored? How? This affect the performance of the WORD program? If so, how to solve it.

Apparently, it caused problems with WORD 2003 on my PC. No knowledge, experience suggestions should be highly appreciated.

Data Prefetch rebuild itself providing the Task Scheduler service is set to automatic, the Task Scheduler runs a routine every three days it will rebuild the files.

I don't see how this (removing prefetch files) would cause problems with Word 2003 or any other application.  It might make them a little slower to load, but it shouldn't cause any problems with the programs themselves, they do not need the prefetcher to work properly.

The value of the automatic task scheduler and if files don't rebuild on the next reboot, run this command:

    Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll, ProcessIdleTasks

This will force a rebuild of the Prefetch data.

No idea, but a few tips:

    • Have you created the directory data?
    • Put an exit if the entry is successful, so you can be sure that your code is executed
    • Close the file only if opened successfully
    • Close the file with fclose. Close may not do and cause it is not emptied, the content can be empty. See http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/clibrary/cstdio/fopen/
    • Add a fflush (normally not used) after writing
