Request for information on Flash Builder and augmented reality.

I'm sandrine from the India. I'm with knowledge of Java software engineer, Flash ACE and OOP are understandable for me. I'm working on a project of augmented reality. I am completely new to Flash, Adobe community and I have a few questions about the augmented reality and Flash Builder:

1 flash Builder 4.6 comes with a default Flex SDK of 4.6. However, Flex SDK of 4.6 was not allowing me to compile and run sample files. So I downloaded the version of Flex 4. 0a on Adobe.com. Now, the examples are works well, but is there a problem if I try to deploy these projects in a website or a desktop application? Once the code is compiled into a swf file, the used flex framework doesn't make much difference, it?

2. the project of the ATR would actually on a Web site, given the different speeds of internet/processor in the world? The effectiveness of the AR project, deployed on a Web site, will depend on the number of triangles in 3D models i.e. files dae? Because according to my understanding of the heavy models means more time to download the flash app in the local browser of the internet and more time to make them by the right papervision 3D engine?

3. can we develop a stand-alone application of the AR Office using Flash Builder? Using Adobe AIR, we can, I guess. Please see a tutorial, if possible.

4. I have seen that we can implement multiple-marker-tracking AR the use of vectors/tables in As there performance problems according to the size of the used arrays/vectors.

5. can you someone please mention some tips to improve the performance of an application of the AR (desktop app and web app)?

6 What would be, approximately, the cost of the FLARManager, FLARToolkit commercial versions, if you have an idea? I went to their site, but they did not mention costs.

7. hardware bitmap for models dae withdrew down performance web app/mobile app/desktop app, with some models of dae 4 to 5 in the scene?

8 is it advisable to use multiple markers with several models of dae or unique marker with the option of the Flash interface to load different models on the same mark?

#1, if it compiles then you don't have a question. There is no reason at this stage do not use 4.6. It should group a runtime in captivity to ensure that computer users won't need to have AIR installed at all.

#2, Papervision is old. Use Stage3D or a wrapper framework. With regard to the generic "if I download a lot of data will take the user more time to load ', so, of course. #7, models could be huge, complex or tiny and simple which changes the answer. See the answer to #4. Ultimately most people get on fast networks with mobile and excessively fast on the Office WLAN. Size matters a lot less than 3 years.

#8, it depends on what you are doing. You have to explain it.

    Most of the time, its a problem with the download was not successful or downloaded correctly. So, in this case, re-download the software and do not forget to compare the file size of the file downloaded with the file on the server.

  • Return between Flash Builder and catalyst?

    It is, or will be - this, be possible to return to Flash Catalyst once a project was brought in Flash Builder?

    I imported the .fxp project into Flash Builder, made some code changes, then exported a .fxp project again.  I want to be able to edit this in catalyst so I can make changes, but when I try to open the project that catalyst says that it cannot be opened because it has been published outside of the application.  Is there something that I am missing or is this all just not yet implemented?

    It would be a shame not to "round trip" of catalyst on the generator.

    For the first version of catalyst, we put the spotlight on the one-way workflow of the catalyst on the generator (start in catalyst, complete in Report Designer). We realize that this is a big limitation, hope to address shortly after the first exit.

    There are a number of partial solutions to this problem, you can find by searching on the forum. Most of them involves the Division of labour between the catalyst and Flash Builder as cleanly as possible, which is surprisingly easy to do given the new skinning architecture. Here is an excerpt from a post I wrote and which seems to have been lost:

    "If you are iterating between catalyst and Builder on a custom component, you can find that should divide the component custom off that way. I intend to write an article explaining this, but here is an overview:

    • In Report Builder, create a new subclass of the SkinnableComponent. The logic of the component put in there.

    • If you need to add logic visuals as "now pass the konfabulator 10px left", you should get konfabulator a part of the skin, using the metadata (see Scrollbar.as, in the Flex 4 SDK, for example).

    • If your component has States, declare them with metadata.

    • In the catalyst, make sure your custom component has the parts and States.

    • Then import the custom in Builder component.

    • In the MXML file for the custom component, change the tag root to . It's now a skin (not a component custom).

    • In the MXML file for the skin, add metadata [HostComponent ("com.me.MyComponent")] (see HScrollbarSkin.mxml, in the Flex 4 SDK, for example).

    • Each time that you create the instance, change the code to . Now you can create an instance of your component skinnable and assigning the skin created in catalyst.

  • Having a problem with Flash Builder and Extension Builder - images not apearing on Mac system

    Have a panel created in Flash Builder 4.5 with Extension Builder 2.1. Everything is fine when it is installed on a PC, but when it is installed on a Mac in the Panel images do not show.

    Mac and PC both using Adobe Photoshop CC. Both installed similarly. ZXP deposit using Adobe Extension Manager CC.

  • Newbie request for assistance with several drag-and-drop & multiple targets

    I know that this question has been asked a million times, but I get always very well the solution.  I know that the solution called for me the use of tables in a part of my code, but I have problems understanding how to implement it.  I use Flash CS 5.5 with AS3.

    I have a flash drag-and-drop file which is divided into 4 distinct zones on the stage.  On each box, there are 7 places, for 7 different "puzzle pieces".  The first two spaces on each quadrant have very a very specific order for the correct puzzle pieces, while the 5 additional places on each quadrant also have specific parts, but the order is not important.  I have included my code below for reference (note that I have not all instances, finished yet).

    Basically, in code that's been created, the following bodies have specific targets with specific command:

    D1_1_mc, D1_2_mc, D1_1_mc, D2_2_mc, D3_1_mc, D3_2_mc, D4_1_mc and D4_2_mc.

    All other instances, such as D1_3_mc, D2_3_mc, D2_4_mc, etc. have specific quadrants on which they need to fall, but what about the last 5 'spaces' in each quadrant, the order does not matter.  I know that I can continue to do what I do, but I would have preferred that the last 5 pieces on each quandrant do not have to be in a specific order.

    Since it seems to afew possible gaps in the code you showed, and what I offer myself in response to your questions, I spent a little time get a working model of what I guess you just using the three targets and the fall of four objects.  If you want, I can make the file available for you, but for now, here's the code that works...

    I have a Galaxy Note 3. If I go on youtube.com in Firefox, play a video, click on full screen, Firefox will crash and a notification will come with description and title 'prevention information' "a request was forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system... ». This notification is generated by 'Knox Notification Manager', an application that comes pre-installed.

    I know that this problem is probably not exactly lack of Firefox and some other browsers are capable of managing the exact situation even without any problem. You can solve this problem, or is there a configuration I can do to fix this?

    1. the BAM database receives no updates and inserts. New lines are added when occur snapshots. The inside of the engine there is a setting (usually 24 hours) to the BAM database where the outdated information (lines) are removed from the database.

    2. the "rucheDans" represents the instance number of the current instance in the process.

    The "origActivityIn" column is almost always '1 '. When he is not this, then it means that the work item instance is sitting inside a subflow activity. The number in this column represents the instance number for the work item instance inside the begotten child sub-process.

    Similarly, the "waitActivityIn" is almost always '1 '. I have never seen that everything except "1". I tried to create a single DB adapter and imported from all the tables in it. But I faced two places where I was asked to define a root table and also to set up a select query.

    2. What is the significance of the db table root?

    Yes, you must create 3 links of different partner using the DB adapter.

    In theory Yes, you would create a new partner link using the DB adapter for each table that is not bound. If you want to select PO_HEADERS_ALL and PO_LINES, this can be done in a single call because they are related.

    This review is based on the fact that you select batch data, no data rows. If you receive 1 row of several unrelated table, this could be done via a custome procedure / package. I don't want to lead you down the wrong path, so I need to learn more about your use case. In most senerios in Oracle apps you call API / packages.

    I can confirm the experience of Liam and Bunzena; switching on the SSD is the best choice you can make, and this small update will improve performance of the significant laptop.
    I did these updates in the past and of course the SSDS are not cheap parts but I do not regret.

    By the way: you can install diagnostic tools material as another like SiSoft Sandra or Everest Home Edition. Both will provide you with details of the controller and the performance.

    Why you can install windows 7 SP1 but not windows 7 SP1 - is due to the drivers included on the OS installation disc. I've seen this several times for several products and its supplier, without specific limitation.

    When win7 is released there are X hardwares so most common for those adding drivers to OS from MS (it's the prectice Microsoft makes all the time). After awhile it drivers X + there are also offered to users MS includes these drivers under Softpaq to OS disk.
