Requirement to activate windows when suddenly it works fine

I have been using a legitimate copy of XP for over a year. It was working fine this morning. When I turned on my computer back this afternoon I was prompted to activate windows and not more, without submitting it online or by calling can not move forward. My registry data has been erased because of a virus / phishing? Or is it legitimate? How will I know?

  • Updates Windows 7 suddenly stopped working, stuck at updates

    Original title: Windows 7 updates

MS has stopped supporting Windows 7? Like many others, my updates of Windows 7 suddenly stopped working last month. I do not install a new or fresh, version but simply by doing what I did every month for a long time and trying to install the latest updates. Windows Update is just to 'check updates'. I left on for more than an hour several times. I tried each 'fix' that has been suggested. Nothing has worked. So, I resorted to the Windows Update Catalog check manually and I noticed that there were no new updates of Windows 7 security for may 2016. Why?

If all updates appeared and installed then reset the update system is a good idea.

    I prefer this small utility

Use Option 2 on the list after right click and select run as administrator

    https://Gallery.technet.Microsoft.com/scriptcenter/reset-Windows-Update-Agent-d824badc

    Download in your downloads folder

Right-click and select extract all in the downloads folder.

Then right-click on ResetWUEng and select run as administrator

Follow the rest of the guides messages

    Press any key to continue

Type 2 for this Option in the list and the Enter key

Press on y for Yes I think twice

    After that that he completed

Type 15 for this option and the Enter key to restart the machine.

Must they will restart in 60 seconds will save your work... Press a key to continue.

After reboot, go to windows updates and manually check the updates shouldn't take a few minutes.

    Hello

Could a right click on the PDF file > open with > choose program by default and select CD player as default PDF Viewer.

You can do it from the control panel as well.

This would make CD player as default PDF Viewer.

  • Service Windows wireless suddenly stopped working because of problem with the KeyIso service

Description of the problem: Windows Wireless Services suddenly stopped working on my computer. What I have discovered so far that the problem is that the WLAN AutoConfig service does not work because of the failure of the function "KeyIso". The error message for the mentions "Error 126" KeyIso (the specified module could not be found). Any help to fix this would be appreciated. TDW

    Hello

What is the antivirus installed on the computer program?

    KeyIso Description:

The service provides insulation for private keys key processes and operations of such associated encryption required by the common criteria. The service stores and uses long term keys in a secure process in line with the requirements of the common criteria. It should normally be disabled, as otherwise, these cryptographic operations may fail.

Looks like there could be a corruption with the wireless connection that you have added. You can perform the steps.

    Method 1:

Try to manually start the wireless service, i.e. the WLAN AutoConfig service. To do this, connect to the computer as an administrator.

    a. Click Start, type services.msc and press enter.
    b. Locate the Autoconfiguration WLAN service, double-click to open its Properties window.
c as. under the general tab, change the startup type to Automatic and click on the Start button.
    d. click on apply, then ok.

    Method 2:

To resolve this problem, try using the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker. To do this, follow these steps:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 3:

You can uninstall and reinstall the network card and check.

    a. click Start, type Device Manager in the Start search box and press enter.
    b. locate the network adapters and expand the same.
    c. Select the Wireless connection, right click and choose Uninstall.
    d. restart the computer, if prompted.

Drivers should settle automatically after the computer restarts.

Now you can install the latest network card drivers and see if that fixes the problem.

    Hi Sean,.

Check if any firmware or the last update is available for the device from the manufacturer's website.

You can also run the troubleshooter from the link given below and check if that helps fix the problem:

  • Sharing files between Windows 7 and Windows XP suddenly stops working

I have a set up working groups between Windows 7 and Windows XP computers.  I don't usually have a problem of file sharing, but suddenly XP computers do not connect to the server from Windows 7.  It will work for a while and then stops.  In order to solve this problem, I have to restart the server from Windows 7.  However, this problem occurs more and more and I would have preferred to find a permanent solution.  I checked all the normal solutions (IE firewall, no passwords, etc.), but I still have this problem.  I'm sure that all my settings are correct, as I am able to connect most of the time, but I know that there must be a solution out there to fix it permanently.

I read a post that I'm not sure is related to my question:

This problem may occur if the IRPStackSize registry entry on the server is set too low. I was unable to connect to the XP PC from any other PC on the network. Set ip 15 and problems went

If that is related, please let me know.

What is a patch that I need to download for XP computers?

Any help would be grateful.  Thank you!

I suspect that the limit is 5 concurrent connections for Windows 7 Home Premium, but I still need to find a reference book Microsoft.

After reading a little in the part of Q and r of the info for the Activation Center, I saw a comment that reinstallation of an image of one disc on another can cause activation problem, because Microsoft is trying to stop software piracy by illegal imagery from one disk to another. For me, it was the source of my problem: I got stuck by Microsoft procedures to stop piracy - except that I was copying just the image of my old drive to my new.

Anyway, I went to the repair shop where I got my new drive and it solved after returning from my product key, copy it down when the disks were set outside - part of the archiving process. Good plan!

    Thanks for the help PranavMishra5582.
