  • Search multiline in an interactive report in APEX

    Problem: I need to be able to search for multiple items in the same column of an interactive report.

    I know there is a "filter" that I can choose the name of the column in the first dropdown, select 'in' in the second menu drop-down and then type or select the values that I want to show.

    Is there a way either:

    1 make the 'Filter' box display automatically as soon as the loading of the page for the user does not have to try to find it?

    or

    2 make a new field of research which will be essentially the same as the option "filter"?

    Hi, Doolius

    1 make the 'Filter' box display automatically as soon as the loading of the page for the user does not have to try to find it?

    Create a DA with the event "Page loading" and run this javascript: gReport.dialog2 ('SHOW_FILTER');

    You can create the button, which will execute the javascript.

  • How to create a column width fixed in an interactive report 4 APEX?

    This thread is a continuation of {message identifier: = 9191195}. Thank you fac586.

    Partial success: the following code provided by fac586 limit the width of the column of the Apex 4 interactive report as long as the data in the column contains a white space in a browser Firefox 3.6:

    < pre class = "jive-pre" >
    < style type = "text/css" >
    e #T_DESCRIPTION {}
    Width: 300px;
    }
    TD [headers = "T_DESCRIPTION"] {}
    Width: 300px;
    dressing: break-Word;
    }
    < / style >
    < / pre >

    Notes:
    1. the above code is placed in the HTML header for the page section.
    2 T_DESCRIPTION is defined as VARCHAR2 (2000).
    3. the above code works in Firefox 3.6.12 browser but does not work in the browser Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13.

    I tried to add "float: left;":

    < pre class = "jive-pre" >
    < style type = "text/css" >
    e #T_DESCRIPTION {}
    Width: 300px;
    }
    TD [headers = "T_DESCRIPTION"] {}
    Width: 300px;
    dressing: break-Word;
    < font color = "red" > float: left; < / police >
    }
    < / style >
    < / pre >

    Notes:
    1 "float: left;" requires no white space and successfully splits the column between the characters instead of whitespace.
    2. "float: left;" reduces the height of the cell and allows the page to show through... could not determine how to solve this fundamental problem.
    3. the above code works in Firefox 3.6.12 browser but does not work in the browser Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13.

    I've did some more research, but I've yet to discover how to create a fixed-width column in an interactive APEX 4 report that displays correctly in Internet Explorer 7 browser.

    Ideas and help will be appreciated.
    what theme are you using?

    A customized version of the 15 theme.

    You said you were using APEX 4.0, if I was testing on 4.0, but using one of its new themes based on the standards. 15 theme is a theme of legacy from older versions of APEX, mainly to ensure a certain level of support for the despised IE6 browser. The new themes are designed to restore mode standard and those inherited mode quirks (This is explained here). Firefox (and Safari, Opera and Chrome, and...) for your application, it's academic: all the required CSS: selectors attribute, the property max-width and dressing work in two modes.

    Enter Microsoft. They decided that in IE7, backwards compatibility meant that new CSS features would be supported only in standard mode, even if they had never been implemented in older versions, with no previous, behavior that may break. Go figure. Yes, even so the dressing will work in quirks mode (no surprise - Microsoft invented), attribute selectors, and max-width only. The latter is bug in standard mode, so I tried using widthworkaround, but who has always used an attribute selector, which of course is ignored, there are no selectors of friendly quirks mode in uneditable Oracle IR of supplement.

    The best 2 options are:

    1. stop using IE.

    2. use a theme based on standards.

    Less satisfactory would be:

    3. change your theme custom (or some of its pages) in standard mode (but it could break him other stuff).

    4 throw some JavaScript to fix the problem (I'll sleep on this one).

    You can do this with the help of dynamic action. You need to get the value of the column of a line click in IR (using jQuery) and set the value to the elements which, in turn, can be used as a filter to other reports on the same page.

    See: How to use the values in the columns of an interactive report (Apex 5)

    Can you reproduce your problem on apex.oracle.com and share the credentials of the workspace, so that I can demonstrate how this can be achieved.

    See an example of how it can be done with dynamic actions: https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=35467:5

  • Application of interactive report of apEx using the last value of the point

    My interactive report is based on a field, but the value of the field is not applied when executing the query

    Add the REGISTRATION_YEAR_ITEM to the IR Page elements to submit property. He will submit the current value in session state.

    Why bother with the page element at all? Why users can't create just an IR filter?

    I also tried the V method, but produce the same results

    For performance reasons, use bind variable notation when you reference values from session state in SQL queries.

    Why not? That it will provide you with a safe and supported environment and your users with a much better life.

  • A link to an interactive report of APEX

    Forgive me, I'm very new to Oracle Application Express. I installed the latest version (v4) of application Express on my laptop and it is run on the Oracle 10 g XE database which is also installed on this laptop.

    If I have an existing Java based site (which is not an APEX based application), can I have within my site links that open interactive APEX reports (that I built)?

    Can you point me in the right direction for the documentation or Web site that explains how to do this? I want to be able to just a link to an interactive report of the APEX and opened it without asking to specify a user name and password work space.

    Thanks in advance for your help,
    Wes

    Hi Wes,

    Welcome to request Express!

    These interactive reports are public (the user should not need to log-in to an application to see)? If so,.

    (1) make sure that the page containing the interactive report is set authentication = Page is public.

    (2) to obtain the URL of the application of the ApEx up to through the ' f? p = xxx' part. For example, the URL to application 101 on my local instance of ApEx on XE is "http://localhost: 8080/apex/f? p = 101".

    (3) add ":" and the number of the page that contains the interactive report to that and you have the URL of the page. For example, if my interactive report page 5, the URL will be "http://localhost: 8080/apex/f? p = 101:5. If you need to pass parameters in the report to say, limit information - you can send the URL. Take a look at aid to the title of the Application Builder Concepts > understanding URL syntax for more information on how to proceed.

    Hope this helps - good luck,
    John

  • interactive report in APEX does not, because of the function "allowed to read.

    Hello

    I discovered that an interactive report does not work due to the permitted reading function.
    I have oracle 10.2.0.3 (database and analytical workspce Manager).
    I installed the overall sample to AWM.
    I've updated the spfile (setting an Always).

    In a query against the table of product_dim the APEX gives: no records found. In SqlPlus or SqlDeveloper returns 36 lines.

    At the TOP, I installed a workspace on the overall scheme.

    I read on the read function, effective for the product_dim table permits.

    How to solve this problem: paying (and how) the APEX and the environment, of removing permission read function?
    Or removing the IsInvisible column?

    Where is this feature?

    Any response will be appreciated.

    What you need to do is ask questions properly, providing useful information that allowing the problem can be reproduced, rather than unnecessary screenshots.

    This is the base of SQL. Oracle run internal SQL training courses?

    There is no correlation in your "virtual column" subquery to restrict the number of students for each college. The request must be:

    select
        c.collegename
      , c.collegecode
      , c.coordname
      , c.coordemail
      , (select count(s.student_register_number) as stud_count from qb_student_details s where c.collegecode = s.collegecode) "STUDENT_COUNT"
    from
        qb_college_details c

    However, unless there are a large number of colleges to which no students registered, it is likely that it will be more efficient to use an outer join:

    select
        c.collegename
      , c.collegecode
      , c.coordname
      , c.coordemail
      , count(s.student_register_number) student_count
    from
        qb_college_details c
          left outer join qb_student_details s
            on c.collegecode = s.collegecode
    group by
        c.collegename
      , c.collegecode
      , c.coordname
      , c.coordemail

  • How to create a horizontal scroll bar for interactive report region?

    Hello

    I use APEX 4.2.5.00.08 and created interactive reports that contain many columns. However when viewing the results of the report, due to the large number of columns report/table data is outside of the region and a horizontal scroll bar appears in the window of my main browser. This seems not very good from the point of view of the customer/end user and I was wondering if it is possible the size of declare the region according to a specific size and have a scroll bar horizontal that it contains, so that users can view the rest of the report columns using the scroll instead bar rather than do what he done right now and go to the screen and having to use the main browsers horizontal scroll bar at the bottom.

    I tried on IE8, Chrome and Firefox 27.0.1 and get the same result. I tried to follow the ideas in this thread, in interactive report horizontal scroll bar, but nothing is.

    You have ideas on how I can get around this please?

    Concerning

    Hi user10248308

    Try this

    Step 1:-modify the interactive report

    Step 2:-under defination region-> header area

    put

    Step 3:-under area Defination-> foot of the region

    put

  • Attributes of Image Interactive report apex 5.0...

    Hello

    I created an interactive report in apex 4.2.6. To customize the image, I added the HTML code in the report interactive HTML Page header

    < style type = "text/css" >

    height = "200";

    Width = "80";

    Now the Apex version is upgraded to 5.0... The images in the report have become major... Why this code does not work in apex 5.0? Is it possible to limit the size of an image in the interactive reports page?

    Thank you

    Toddler

    Kiran Pawar says:

    As the interactive is rewritten from the ground-up in the new version 5.0 of the APEX, there is no class 'apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA' in IR in APEX 5.0, change your css to:

    You must also add "IMAGE_CONTENT" as a static ID in the image column, like APEX 5.0 uses internal ID in the ID attributes of the IR instead of alias columns table header cells.

    4.2, page-level CSS should be in CSS Inline (without tags style) property page, and not the Header HTMLpage.

  • additional restrictions in the interactive report

    Hello
    I have very long-running query. When I add a few restrictions, it becomes quite fast.
    At the Summit, I have a default filter that returns me only necessary lines (as with additional restrictions in the sql query). But I think that the filter in the apex is applied after any result set returned by the query. If it takes an eternity to get results in the apex.

    How can I add additional restrictions to the interactive report of apex query?

    I don't know when the filter of interactive reports are added. Before or after that the result set is returned. An interest in research.

    But it seems that you have performed a very important request that will eventually be filtered.
    -This application can be optimized?
    -Is huge (as you call it) really necessary query? You cannot opt to make specific smaller reports?
    -Finally, you can make your own filters. Placing edit boxes (or drop-down lists) to impose conditions that will be read in where clause of your query.

    Combine the predicates in the CASE expression by using an AND condition:

    case
      when    :app_user = 'Mencis'
          and :p10_dummy = 2
      then
        ''
    end

    Hardcode a condition like the :app_user = 'Mencis' is likely to prove problematic for all sorts of reasons, not least including the value of APP_USER is uppercase by default, unless otherwise during authentication.

    Note that the semicolon and extra double quotes in are not valid.

  • Interactive report with checkbox and editable field

    Hello

    For a project I'm working on, I need to create an interactive report in Apex 3.2 with the ability to select rows and change one of the columns in the report.
    To do this, I started by adding these two fields at the request of my IR selection:

    CB apex_item. CheckBox (1, product_number)

    and

    apex_item. Text (2, QTY_TO_ORDER) QTY_TO_ORDER

    CB is the files checkbox and QTY_TO_ORDER is the editable field.

    It worked like a charm and I had my two fields in the report.
    To process the values, I've added this page process, which currently must store only the "product number" and the "QTY_TO_ORDER" fields in a table.

    BEGIN
    BECAUSE me in 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01. Count LOOP
    insert into mytmptable values (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i), APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02 (i));
    END LOOP;
    commit;
    end;

    However, this does not work as I want it to work. When I check the boxes of the two rows, it will store two numbers of good product lines, but it will take the field QTY_TO_ORDER two albums from the table, regardless of who those are checked. I was able to solve this problem, by adding a rownum in the query and using the rownum as the value for the checkbox control. Because I still need that the areas of product_number and qty_to order I made them two text fields.

    I changed my page process of:

    BEGIN
    BECAUSE me in 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01. Count LOOP
    insert into mytmptable values (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02 (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i)),
    APEX_APPLICATION. G_F03 (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i)));
    END LOOP;
    commit;
    end;

    This seemed to solve the problem, and I have now received the good values in the table, unless I used in the report to sort... As soon as I've sorted the report in a different way from that of rownum, I had bad values in the table. The reason is of course that my insert simply selects the nth line in the table, and my rownums are not dynamic.

    I found a lot of examples on the internet using "#ROWNUM #" in the selection, which is expected to spawn a rownum in the report. It seems to work in normal report, but in interactive reports, literal values "#ROWNUM #" appears.

    Is it possible to fix this?

    Hello

    Try with 3 fields:

    CB apex_item. CheckBox (1, product_number).
    apex_item. Text (2, QTY_TO_ORDER) QTY_TO_ORDER,.
    prod_no apex_item. Hidden (3, product_number)

    The hidden field should be view as a hidden column.

    Then your process can be:

    BEGIN
    BECAUSE me in 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01. Count LOOP
    J in 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F03. Count LOOP
    IF APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i) = APEX_APPLICATION. G_F03 (j)) THEN
    insert into mytmptable values (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i), APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02 (j));
    "exit";
    END IF;
    END LOOP;
    END LOOP;
