Research unlimited is still limited?

Hi guys, just want to ask what can be the cause of this. My research is still limited, even if I check the option perform research without limit. Should what settings I check?

Thank you!

  • General question: which limits the max RAM, you can install? Why is he still limited?

    Hi all

I have a p7-1254 Pavilion with 8 GB of RAM installed. I thought that perhaps it would be better if I installed 16GB. Then I read the specs of my PC and it says "Supports 8 GB of RAM".

Why would it be limited? What is the reason RAM gets limited on some PCs?

    Hello:

You are right. The maximum memory that can be installed in your PC is 8 GB.

    Why is there a limit?

This is a hardware limitation of the motherboard chipset, or a limitation of the BIOS that cannot be changed.

Memory is limited to a certain extent in every PC.

As PC evolves a day 16 GB will be that 2 GB is now.

  • RH2015, when using CBT to publish a subset of a research project is still the content that has been marked to not publish.

    Hi all

I'm curious as to whether it is "By Design" or something I do...?   I have a project that is a thorough Administrator's guide.  I used the conditional tags build to block most of the administrator and Support information (server names, data graphics APIs etc.) to create a guide to the user of the application: the GUI and behavior of the app is covered with information from the back-end.

I can publish this project to its own set of folders (Pathed \\server\share\RH_Projects\UserGuideas opposed to \\server\share\RH_Projects\AdminGuide...) when I publish and put conditional compilation and it seems to work.  The table of contents are correct and the additional information and topics do not arise in the project.  However, if I get a name of the API or a name server it pulls up the subjects that have been tagged to NOT be included in the compilation.  I see the UserGuide records research topics that I didn't when building are always moved to the output folder and wonder if there is a way to exclude these subjects for publication in the book of records?

It seems that the problem was due to the fact that I imported a .docx file.  A theme contains a list historical revisions, graphic and table and he also had a copy of the Doc TOC.  It's questions. As the title of the document table of contents and table contents illustrations announces of and links to the content "excluded", to avoid breaking links to these topics, they have been added to the output files, but do not show up in the table of contents.  However they would be in the research because they were in the output files.

But that didn't fix it 100%... (grrr...)

Additional inspection (and more hair removed), I found that I had created a mapping file until I put on the information of conditional markup compilation.  Even after deletion (of the document) Table of contents and the aforementioned tables, some of the information which was to exclude was always put in the output files, was discoverable by search.  Once, I edited the map file and labeled or deleted sections links to the topics of "undesirable". I was able to get a clean build.

So he did what I wanted now.

NOTE: I had not created an Index or a Glossary for this project yet, but I'm sure they would have needed to be cleaned as well if I had taken the time to create them.

  • Why is he still limited fonts support?

What is the rationale behind Adobe Story, having her own Bizarro World police minimum set naked?  Why am I paying for Typekit and Story more if they are not compatible with each other?  Why not Courier New, all least be included so I can type Polish characters?  Why no progress was filed in support of the other locale in the past four years?

I just bought HP 15-r012tx, after 1 day that I installed it, nothing happened, wifi worked well. until the second day, suddenly, WIFI LIMITED, after that I tried the solution via google, nothing can solve my problems,

and I found it my laptop can CONNECT to the router TP-LINK 3420, so closely with the router, about 1 to 3 m, but more than that, access will be LIMITED. The signal from the router is excellent (5 of 5).

I did the reset ip via the command prompt, do the DNS manually, but still LIMITED (distal scope). I also do my driver Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn updated Wi - FI adapter and make homelessness hightest sensitivity via the properties (Device Manager)

  • Dell Inspiron 1525 Windows Vista - limited network connectivity - nointernet

    Hello

I am facing problem with my Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium32bit.

Everything worked well, recently, I deleted a malware windows security databases, after that the display of the network connection is still limited to connectivity, for all types of connections, Ethernet, WiFi, etc. USB tethering. There is no problem with the router. I have hv checked with many links to work.

    I tried following:
    Uninstalling the essential security program
Turn off turn on network interface.
netsh Winsock reset & other commands.
    Uninstalling the network drivers.
    remove entries of regedit Winsock.
    Reinstall the drivers.
    SFC /scannon running
    Try the windows diagnostic tool
    Disabling ipv6.

But after all this the problem persists. In the analysis of sfc logs, CBS.log it displays some error messages such as impossible repair Winsock-core. Looks like the Winsock is corrupt. I tried to uninstall the drivers, removal of winscock entered into regedit and then adding them. Nothing helps. I can't find the Winsock drivers for download.

Can you please help me how I can fix it. Please note that no internet connection established is working with the system. That's why I need to copy all of the files required through memory external strorage.

    Thank you very much

Yes, I did the re-installation of Windows Vista using the CD of the OS that came with the computer installed & portable device using the driver CD drivers. Now the network connectivity works great!

Although I backed up my data it is not necessary that the relocation is not format my drive. He copied old 'windows folder to a windows old folder names"and then all the remaining files, we kept intact.

    See you soon!

  • Technical limitations of the server VSphere Essentials?

I'm running the free VSphere hypervisor and the vSphere Client. It seems that there are a ton of limitations in the free version. So far, I stumbled upon:

    (1) failed to move a virtual machine from one storage location to another

    (2) unable to set "Promiscuous" mode on a network adapter

The list of documents things which should be available in the client, but did not exist (for example, the tabs together or options). For me it will be continue to occur as I continue to implement my VM.

I work in a small business environment, but still have needs of which is apparently offered in some of the other products (for example. VMotion, VCenter?). But I use only two virtual machines on a single server with 1 CPU and that's all that I will probably have need for a while. Is there a way that I can know what are the technical limitations? I don't want to buy the product and know that I am still limited.

    Thank you

  • Limitation of ESXi 5.1 free Version RAM?

I was under the impression that any RAM limitation had been removed for 5.1, including the free version of ESX. Try using the free version, but it gives an error that we are above the limit of 32 GB.

    Any ideas?

The free version is still limited to 32 GB of physical RAM. It was only the payment of vRAM that was deleted.

  • Limited record Formats?

    Hello

I tried to send a bunch of images by e-mail to my wife this morning.

They were images of her jewelry that she sent to the galleries.

All but 2 of them, I sent in the form of .jpg files (to keep the smaller size) but 2 of them were .tif files to begin with, and when I open them in Photoshop CS2 and their size, it wouldn't let me save as .jpg files, makes the save options were limited to a few formats such as png etc.

I looked for a reason, but I don't see anything different about these files.

They were in RGB 16-bit color mode.

I saved in form of .psd files and then reopened them and tried again, but the formats were still limited.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The rest of the images gave me the full length record formats.

    Mike

Older versions of Ps do not allow save in JPEG (which is always 8 bpc) a 16-bit/channel doc. Do "Image > Mode > 8-bit/channel" then you should be able to save in JPEG format.

  • Upgrading processor... I know, please bear with me

This is a redundant question, I know and I'm sorry, but I want to be absolutely certain before I give up my search for the upgrade. I have a HP Pavilion DV6-6c35dx with a processor AMD A8 - 3520M. I tried to do things that apparently require an Intel processor. I found the interview here guide which lists compatible processors for my laptop: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03099531.pdf this list of compatible processors gave me the impression that the processors are specific to the computer. But simple research on the forum has produced the information that an AMD processor may not be upgraded to a processor Intel because of different motherboards, chipsets and Sockets. It says even for the Pavilion DV6-6c35dx of 2012?

There is so much more I want to do with my laptop. I just put the hard drive, and now I find that I am still limited. I like much this laptop, and I don't want a new one; I want to just my machine to do what I want to do. I have no interest in Windows 8.  Your help and your patience is appreciated.

"an AMD processor cannot be upgraded to an Intel processor because of the different motherboards, chipsets and Sockets. This specific for even for the Pavilion DV6-6c35dx of 2012? »

Yes, that is right. A notebook platform AMD or desktop PC can't be upgraded with an Intel processor.

  • Synchronization of images with the track number of music in first Pro CC

My experience with Premiere Pro is still limited to the basic edition. I was recently asked to help a friend to edit a music video. I have done it before in Final Cot X Pro but decided to move because of the integration of Adobe CC.

The issue I'm facing is that all the footage that was shot are delivered for me to 23.976 fps, but with audio that plays faster. The audio after importing is during playback to 29.97 FPS and play it at normal speed.

The solution I found so far is to slow down every clip to 80% so that it matches the original audio track. It's not ideal, I discovered while editing, and it would be better to have each clip rendered in its original state of 29.97 FPS.

After some research more, I discovered that it is possible to perform a new made each clip speed original in After Effects and even apply the interpolation. Then import all back into Premiere Pro.

My question is if the road that I'm following here is correct.

    Thank you!

by reducing speed in the timeline, I think he's doing the same thing by forcing the film. the difference is by changing it in the tray before you start, you can change all clips at once. Make sure you just set the fps of the fps final output sequence, does not not in the FPS has changed clips.  You can also click with the right button on the images in the timeline and choose the frame mix, but I think it ends up doing the same thing you use the export option. the difference on the timeline is that you see the frame blend when editing. AE is extremely slow and may not look any better, so when you're on deadline, forget about it.  so first I think that the framework blend on vs off is your only real option to change the behavior of the slow-mo.

slow mo thing is nice for music videos, but yes, for best results the camera must be accelerated with the song on the set. While post both are slowed down back, replacing the song / audio with the original song at a normal speed. 23.976 or 29.97 are both acceptable in NTSC land usa.  23.976 has received much attention as the 'film look' because it has more motion blur, while a 29.97, a video filter. Here are some numbers that I found somewhere and kept. so if the final rendering of fps is known, can choose the correct shooting for on fps set with matching sped up or slowed down the music.  values in italics would end up with time-lapse images, while the values in bold would be used for the slo-motion effect. I haven't used these, but the numbers look right. He could have shot during 29.97 (30) fps and it slowed to 23.976 in post to get the 80% slow-mo.

For a NTSC / US, using a base of following times of 24 p, for frame rates, adjust the speed of the song at:

12 fps: make the song last x 1,956 more stretching to 51.1% speed

18 fps: make the last song 1.333 x more stretching 75.0% speed

20 fps: make the last song 1,226 x more stretching to 81.6% speed

22 fps: make the last song 1.067 x more stretching to 93.7% of the speed

26 fps: do the last song 0,907 x as long as normal; play 110.25% speed

30 frames per second: make the last song 0.800 x as long as normal; play 125% speed

32 fps: do the last song 0.747 x as long as normal; play 133.87% speed

36 fps: do the last song 0.672 x as long as normal; play 148.81% speed

48 fps: do the last song 0.498 x as long as normal; play 200,80% speed

60 frames per second: make the last song x 0.400 as long as normal; play at 250.00% speed

For a NTSC / US, using a base of following times of 30 p for frame rates, adjust the speed of the song at:

12 fps: make song longer than 2.445 x stretching 40,91% speed

18 fps: make the last x 1.667 song more stretching to 60,00% speed

20 fps: make the last song 1,533 x more stretching 65,23% speed

22 fps: make the last song 1.333 x more stretching 75,01% speed

24 frames per second: make the last song 1,250 x as long as normal; play at 80.00% speed

26 fps: do the last song 1.134 x as long as normal; play at 88.22% speed

32 fps: do the last song 0,933 x as long as normal; play 107.14% speed

36 fps: do the last song 0.840 x as long as normal; play 119,05% speed

48 fps: do the last song 0.622 x as long as normal; play at 160.73% speed

60 frames per second: make the last x 0.500 song as long as normal; play 200.00% speed

  • RDM vs. big files vmdk

I saw this topic many times during the research on this topic and I did some tests in my environment to see how things are run.  I've seen conflicting information, and some of them may relate to different versions of vSphere, so I thought I would ask again using the observations I have.

I try to implement the virtual file servers and would like to have them with 1 TB of space on their.  I am using vSphere 4 and my back-end storage is a collection of Equallogic iSCSI networks.

    Comments:

    1. the RDM or maximum VMFS datastore that I create is 2047 GB (No 2048 or 2 TB).  I have seen this documented in other threads and it seems to be true.

    2. the block size to put in shape, of the data store VMFS creates high vmdk and RDM file size limit.  1 MB / 2MB, 256GB / 512 GB, 4 MB/1 TB and 8 MB/2 TB.  I've read a few threads that says THAT RDM were not confined to vmdk file size constraints. I found an article that explained that the RDM, even if a pointer or link, is still limited to the top file limit based on the size of block formatting.

    3. If your data warehouses are formatted differently with regard to the size of the blocks, it should / could have some problems when you try to migrate their (hot or cold).  This makes sense because the target data store must be formatted with a block size that accommodates the RDM or vmdk.

    My questions:

    1. What is the impact of using different block sizes?  This is the performance, or is it purely allowing large files?  With a larger block size, I guess he could have lost there more space, but are they practical interest for VMFS or RDM?  Any guestimates about the actual % waste?  Any suggestions on the most convenient to use?  I suppose also that a VMFS partition cannot be changed after formatting the block size?

    2. If the RDM and vmdk are limited to the same maximum size based on the VMFS data store, what is the real difference between them.  I am particularly interested in virtual mode, because I want to use Veeam to save things and I need support for snapshots.

    3. assuming that I can accomplish in objective 1 TB using vmdk or RDM, why should I choose one over the other?  It seems that based on reading, the RDM method can seem like the cleaner solution with regard to the Organization of my SAN, but other messages say you must use vmdk when possible.

Sorry for the long post.  All your comments and discussion would be really useful.

    Thank you.

    Chuck.

    To clarify your comments:

    > 1.  The RDM or maximum VMFS datastore that I create is 2047 GB (2048 no or 2 TB).  I have seen this documented in other threads and it seems to be true.

The maximum size of any SCSI logic unit number ESX4 unique can handle is 2 TB-512 byte (even presented via iSCSI, FC, local no matter).

As a ROW corresponds to a single LUN, he is inherently limited to 2 TB-512 bytes as well. However, a VMFS volume can span multiple LUNS with up to 32 degrees, so you can build a 64 to VMFS volume too. A single file on a VMFS will always be limited to 2 TB maximum depending on the size of block VMFS.

It is also important to mention that NFS data warehouses do not have this limit of 2 TB.

    > 2.  The block size for setting in the form, of the data store VMFS creates high vmdk and RDM file size limit.

RDM in virtual compatibility mode are subject to the limitaitons of blocksize VMFS are the same way VMDK files. RDM physical mode are only limited by the limit of unit number logic SCSI explained above, since there is no VMFS on a physical LUN mode. See also http://virtualkenneth.com/2009/11/10/vmfs-and-block-size-is-important-for-virtual-rdms/

    > 3.  If your data warehouses are formatted differently with regard to the size of the blocks, it should / could have some problems when you try to migrate their (hot or cold).  This makes sense because the target data store must be formatted with a block size that accommodates the RDM or vmdk.

There is no problem with VM migration hot or cold between VMFS volumes formatted with different blocksizes, but generally, it takes more time and has a greater impact on performance, VAAI does not work in either block sizes. I advise to use a common block of 8MB on all your VMFS volumes. There is no problem using 8 MB even though your VMS would install all in 1 MB.

    To answer your questions:

    > 1. What is the impact of using different block sizes? This is the performance, or is it purely allowing large files?

There is no this is really purely to allow large files. Small files use small subblocks anyway and you usually don't have a lot of files on a VMFS too, so the unused space is of no interest. You cannot change the block size later. You must delete and re-create the data store. Again, I would just go for 8 MB everywhere.

    Also see this article:

    http://www.VMware.com/files/PDF/vmfs_rdm_perf.PDF

    > 2.  If the RDM and vmdk are limited to the same maximum size based on the VMFS data store, what is the real difference between them.  I am particularly interested in virtual mode, because I want to use Veeam to save things and I need support for snapshots.

It should be more clear with my previous explanations. The differences are also explained more in-depth in the PDF document linked above and can be found in the regular documentation as well.

    > 3.  Assuming that I can accomplish in objective 1 TB using vmdk or RDM, why should I choose one over the other?

You can easily make a 1 TB drive for a virtual machine with the two methods. I'd still go for a VMDK in your case, because it is easier to handle and not really disadvantages on a ROW. Personally, I see no real reason to use a RDM in virtual compatibility mode. Physical compatibility mode can make sense for stuff like inside a guest SAN management software or if you want to share the file system of the LUN between other hosts (physical).

BTW. Another option with iSCSI storage is to use only an iSCSI initiator inside the host on the network virtual, totally independent of the hypervisor, which raises the limit of 2 TB too.

    Also I have recommended reading:

  • After recovery, the cr2 files have '... cr2.jpg ' extension and does not open in PS sc5 / bridge.

After surviving several hundred GB of jpg and cr2 to a disc formatted, I can open jpg PS as usual. Recovering cr2/CR2 files have an extension that ends with cr2.jpg.

Niether bridge or Ps can open them. I guess that's because cr2 have integrated in them when they are created and the recovery software their pulled up as a jpg file. Is there a way to isolate the raw and jpg files in this situation, or maybe there's a download that can take care of him?

PS can not run window indicates; Incorrect flag or extension jpg too long.

    Version of cs5 pc Win7 670339

    Thank you!

Well, after having successfully survived about 120 000 images of a formatted drive accidentally I'll pass on a little of what I learned. I'll try to keep it brief and perhaps will post a more complete NET when I have the chance.

First thing I did was arrested and disconnect a drive so that I was not tempted to tinker with it. Also, I thought I'd need to rush to a data recovery service quickly.

Secondly, after consulting a friend network business, he suggested that he had actually downloaded a program of recovery on the net and it was reliable for its purposes. I had a cool 2 TB drive ready to receive the recovered files. I went online and downloaded EaseUs recovery. I ran it to feel fairly confident he was not destructive. I was relieved to see that it has found a huge Bank of image files. I got them it is clear that some of the images have been jpg and some had a cr2.jpg extension. When the recovery process was I did then went to see the images. I could see very good jpg images, but images with the cr2.jpg extension were not visible. That's when I found here on the Adobe forums. I tried various methods to rename the files, (ie: delete the part cr2 or jpg, etc.) so that the extension should have (in my mind), makes sense for the Ps or even windows Explorer also. No luck.

I tried another download of recovery. These are all a little suspicious, btw, when you look at their Web site there are usually some spelling or grammatical errors, which, for me, is a little disturbing. Wondershare was the next program that seems to work very well and had to jpg and cr2 in separate folders treated. Horay! I ran the program. It took 16 hours to run, (fortunately I started it just before dinner so this should be done the next day when evryone went to school etc.). He got up to 99% complete and crashed! After reduction of the research to a whole limited file and try again, same thing. I sent an email to their support. It took a few days but they responded to what seems to indicate I have try their "most powerful" version free of charge.

Meanwhile, I had downloaded a program of third 'FireCuva '. It sounded pretty hoaky, but I thought that was just a poor marketing plan and to date, these programs have been getting me close enough.

I ran FireCuva. He finds and separated my cr2, jpg, mp3, mp4, Quicktime, etc beautifully! Unfortunately, my records have disappeared. However this was not unexpected, and a small price to be so sloppy in the first place.

Now, I had about 120 000 images in folders in number. "Date created", were there, but without a job, the recovery program.

The next task was to try to organize the images.

After a bit of debate, I open Lightroom for the first time in years. (I had abandoned awile ago, because I couldn't get a handle on "catalogs" and other 'virtual' Lightroom aspects, (I wanted the knowledge hard and fast, hence all my stuff was).)

I imported each folder of the pile recovered and exported to files by date on the same drive. I now have a great appreciation for the ability to create collections and catalogs in Lightroom with out having to copy and move images.

An inspection further, I found that all my ps adjustment layers in my Tiffs, etc. are still there!

    In short;

FireCuva recovery software does the job. It cost $59 (even though it says $49 on the download button).

Lightroom handles the rest. I only wish I could, "Lightroom", the rest of my life!

Thanks to those who read and published in the effort to help!
