• Desire x 2 Dock USB and card SD does not work

  The USB port on the left in my dock Envy keyboard x 2 has stopped working. Whenever I anchor the portion of the Tablet for the keyboard, I see an error message "USB device" unrecognized in the taskbar. In addition, displays an 'unknown device' Device Manager, listed under the key "other devices."

  Also note the card SD of Dock is doesn't work the same way. Some cards are recognized so that in the past he appeard as USB/removable disk device.

  Well, in a bizarre resolution to the issue, the dock has decided to start working again. Don't know what I did, but I suspect it had something to do with the UEFI settings stored in the CMOS. I searched update utility for BIOS Insyde Software documentation after witnessing of the docking station to return to life temporarily after re-flashing the BIOS. I found a setting in the platform.ini - ClearCMOS file - and I flipped it to '1' and re-flashed to see what would happen.

  Nothing changed immediately, however, the next day I was invited by Windows Update to download the latest definitions for Windows Defender. When he was done, he prompted me to restart, I found strange as the Defender updates don't usually require a reboot. Then I noticed the "Windows Update" start screen, while the unit has been reset, indicating something was more than just a simple refresh definitions Defender.

  Yet, I do not think anything of it and continued by usual until I noticed something weird: when I re-docked the Tablet I heard the familiar "donk doink, dink" tones. I did a double-take to make sure that nothing not hanging off one, working USB port (right side - it was empty) and then frantically connected to see what was going on a. To my surprise, the USB error message was gone and I could see once more the content of my 64GB SD card into the slot in the dock.

  I took a screenshot of the Device Manager just to have a reference of work to see how it * should * look, then held my breath and detached from the tablet. I waited the Plug & Play tones, which indicates the docking drivers, had unloaded, checked device (no sign of the USB hub) Manager, hold for a count of ten and prayed while re-docking of the tablet. Yet once, the PnP tones shot and Explorer opens a window on my SD card.

  Still not convinced that the "fix" would stick, I took the next step and restarted the machine. Again, everything was present when the system is back to the top and the procedure of disconnecting/dock worked as expected. My last test was completely power off the unit, wait for half an hour and then restart. Still works. In a last time, I checked the system event log to see what might have been for this mysterious Windows Update. The entrance to update itself mentioned only the definitions of Defender; However, I found several messages from the Installer service talks about the different status updates of Windows on "Absent". Very strange.

  Anyway, it's been 36 hours and I continue to check to make sure that the dock is still working. So far so good. I'll feel better as soon as I spend the weekend, but for now I think that the problem is resolved.

  As for what caused, and also what might have finally fixed, I guess this will remain a mystery. Could Defender blocked a significant update that was lit green subsequently after the update of definition? Or maybe my tweaking of the BIOS update utility. Trigger files INI Windows re-installation of some critical updates?

  Who knows? And frankly, who cares? I'm just glad to have my dock that is doomed to return!

  Traditional DAQ doesn't have a way to reset the indicator terminal number, as far as I know. One thing you might be able to do is change the "output" in "toggle" mode and then read the "output status" to determine the reversals to determine when the State of the output has changed in your application.

  I have serious problem reggarding this battery meter reset. I started on my Y580 and went to work. When I came back the cell phone was off and I couldn't. There are no indicators that the power addapter was pluged. When I press the power button, the red light blinks in front just 3 times and that's it. I can't start and it does not show that the battery is charging. It's as if the laptop does not detect the addapter AC or battery.

  The laptop is out of warrity!

• Indicator output value resets all other sub time VI is called

  Hi all

  I have a VI under load certain values of a file and fills a table hint that is passed to the appellant VI.  Time that the VI sub runs, the table (in and out) back to its default values from the void finishing execution VI (and the output of this call is affected).  I tried wiring a constant empty at the table to make sure it is cleared at the beginning that seemed to have fixed the problem when the sub VI front is open, but when it is closed (usually if called from the main VI), the behavior persists.  Breakpoints in place, the table retains its values until the last step of the execution (when the pane VI while break has a dotted blinking around it), but still resets on RESUME and returns false (default) values.

  An excerpt of the call of the main VI, the sub VI and a sample file 'sequence' she would open is attached.  Also, I'm running LV 2013.  Any thoughts would be appreciated (I hope that I am not missed something too obvious).

• Airport Express do not reset

  My parents have a problem with their Airport Express (latest generation, redeemed in 2014).  We had a storm yesterday and dropped their internet.  I went to try to reset their router, but it will not reset at all.  The indicator light remains just orange/amber and when I try to do any sort of reset (soft, hard, factory) there's just orange/orange and never flashes as it should when it is set to zero.

  Is this thing toast?

  Would not be the end of the world as they asked me how to get a better signal in the yard and told them that probably they needed a larger router.  Nature may have forced this issue.

  Unfortunately, a solid amber status LED light seems to indicate a power supply for the base station. If you have already tried all types of reset, the chances are very good, as the storm has damaged the device and must be replaced. Sorry!

  Try to restart the Dock using the following command in Terminal:

  Killall Dock

  Log outgoing/incoming and test. If this does not work, you need to look in your user Library/Application Support/docking station for the .db. Use the Finder "Go to folder" command. Enter ~/Library/Applications Support/Dock.  Move the .db on your desktop.

  Then try a reset of the docking station.

  Applications/Utilities/Terminal enter the command

  Killall Dock

  Log out/in test. If it works fine, delete the .db from the desktop.

  If the dock is the same, back up the .db you, crushing the latest.

  If you prefer to make your library user visible permanently, go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder.
