I have an animation of size 700 * 415 developed in Flash imported into a page of 800 * 600 in Captivate, and using, click area for interactions within the program. Before updating Flash Player last Friday (18/06/2010), the animation presents editing Captivate like 700 * 415 on the page correctly, but resizes to really small after I updated the Flash Player. He still work correctly in preview but is more present than 700 * 415 in edit mode.

I get the following message appears at the beginning ' error: variable table a number of clues or overflow from the beach size incorrect index "how to get rid of this problem?

It sounds like something you have running at startup fails because it was written wrong. You need to know what it is. First of all, make sure that the computer is free of viruses/malwrae by making a scan.

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Then, if the computer is clean and the problem persists, troubleshoot your startup.

Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

How to troubleshoot by using the Msconfig in Windows XP utility - http://support.microsoft.com/?id=310560

The free Autoruns program is very useful for managing your Startup - http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx

(For Vista) Start Orb > Search box > type: msconfig and when it appears in the results area above, right-click and choose 'run as administrator '.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue. Then see what is on the Startup tab. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Usually in Vista it will be blocked by Windows Defender and you will need to enable it so you can then check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

  • Maximum size of VMDK

    Guy

I know that size max VMDK is on ESXi 4.1 is 2 TB... my question is if I have a virtual machine that has 100 GB OS, but 4 additional VMDK attached to this virtual machine, and each is 2 TB VMDK?

Or a virtual machine may contain not more than 1 to VMDK?

    Please specify it. Thank you.

.. and don't forget that the max is based on a single HARD drive presented to the customer, not a total of all hard drives present.

  • Increase in the size of vmdk vCenter Analytics of operations (resize)

Hey everybody! I'll start with a warning that I am too complicate the process for that apparently I am a FOOL! Either way, a result of work is the ideal fruit here!

Here's the situation...  I have deployed vCenter Ops out of the OVA/OVF, fine so far... And well, environmental needs, no one REQUIRES additional storage space! So so... as vCenter Ops itself is detect that HE's going to run out of disk space! Perfect, right?

So I pop in vCenter, increase the size of the disc, and we should be defined, right? Uh, no.

For whatever the reason, once again... may be missing a set of specific commands...

When I try to increase the size of the disk, it keeps the denynig there is no available space, yet a fdisk-l seems to show that/dev/sdb seems to have enough space...   Certainly, there is an article "addressing" the problem of resizing vCenter Ops, and I mean by "address", it does not at all.

With me so far?  Interestingly, vCenter Ops likes to throw the part data analytics to a logical volume by the name of data_vg

So, I have no ego, no obligation, other than trying to ensure that we find the answer... and we have a source to this address for all time, instead of KB articles without answers, or the steps that eventually destroy my logical volume and all the data contained in. (Hell, if I wanted to, I just would deploy the EGGS again with 'large' size)  Any help, greatly appreciated.

To add more disk space, all you need to do is add an extra on the disc and restart the virtual machine, it will detect and add space to the virtual machine.

  • cannot resize the virtual disk (vmdk) after successful hyper-v conversion

    Hello

We are experiencing an environment vSphere 4.1. I have a problem on the Ramdisk resizing.

We had managed to convert a hyper v VM. Virtual machine operating system is Windows 2008.

After that, I can't resize the virtual disk (GB in disk options was gray-ed out, even when the virtual machine is power down)

    It's strange

I have attached several screenshot of the virtual machine.

    Need your advice.

    Thank you

His grace is on the IDE interface and you can not resize. the only way is to reclone using vmware converter and resize in the wizard. For more information: http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2010/05/28/resizing-your-ide-virtual-harddisk/

  • Size VMDK after snapshot

    Hello

I think I have misunderstood a feature of instant releated.

We did a snapshot to reduce the total space of VM and remove all previous (so VM is on the total hard disk space + a few log files).

When you restart the computer, virtual, the file:

    Vm02 - 000001.vmdk

develops within a few minutes of 1 MB to 800 MB.

Structure of hard disk cannot change so much in a short time (Windows Update just do before stop).

Then why this file becomes so big so fast?

    Thank you

    Vincent

Snapshots set the file hard base (your virtual drive) in a read-only mode, and all changes are kept in a new file, your "Vm02 - 000001.vmdk". If this file retains the delta between the read-only base file and the actual state of the guest. That is why it is more.

When you delete the snapshot all the changes of this delta file are rewritten on your hard base to keep the changes. If you want to go back to the point where you took the photo, the delta file is deleted, the virtual guest is indented to the State stored in the base file and a new delta file is generated to keep the new changes.

The snapshot is not used to reduce the basic disk. BTW the shrinkage is only possible when you have created the basic format disc thin provisioned.

With vSphere you must have sVmotion to shrink a thin disc put into service from a data to another store or by cloning the prompt and choose the clone must use a fine service as target disc. You must run "sdelete" of the suite of tools sysinternal before doing so, so that the guest OS releases really already used data blocks.

  • Where to 10 GB in size of VMDK files.

    Hello.

    SW: WmWare Workstation 7.1.4.

HW: Intel Core i7-920/6 GB of RAM/2x0.5Tb HARD drive. Host of OS = Windows 7 x 64 ultimate.

I have a virtual machine with the guest OS Windows Server 2003.

    When I run this VM I see inside - drive C: size = 39.8 GB space free = 30, 2 GB. So, space = 9.6 GB.

But when I stop VM I see - the VMDK file size is 19 GB!

The big question is - where did it take 10 GB 'extra '?

How can I adjust to its actual size? So I want VMDK take all the space, it is used in real-time under guest operating system.

Well, I'm ok if difference will be from 1 to 2 GB but 10 GB - it IS TOO! :-(

I tried to shrink the VMDK size:

    (1) ran Compact & Deframent for this VMDK file (in VmWare FRO this virtual machine).

    2) has added a new virtual HARD disk, start VM in the Acronis image ISO disc and then - created disk image of the HDD1, HDD2.

Then HDD1 deleted, added new HDD1 with the same size. Restore the system from the HDD2 to HDD1 disk image.

After all these manipulations I still have VMDK size = 19 GB!

Still can't understand - where does 10 GB 'extra '?

    Kind regards
    Dmitry.

I'll assume that you don't have any snapshots...

First of all, you need to use Shrink VMware Tools or instead using another method to zero free space on the disk for compacting.  In Virtual Machines Windows I use SDelete with the argument - c, then press stop, suspend not and the compact disc I think faster then using VMware Tools shrink.

  • free vSphere Datastore space and the differences in size of VMDK

I am listing and sizes VM reports and the amount of space they take on their related data storage. I used PowerCLI to capture this information and have issued the following command to retrieve the data store size and free space: Get-data store. Returns a name, quality and free space. Then, I want to see the size of the VMDK on these data stores using the: Get-Datastore. Get - VM | Get-hard drive. This returns the size VMDK in KB and after you convert in the UK, I sum up the totals and calculate space to subtract from the total size of the data warehouses. I have a lag in information in free space. For example:

    Name FreeSpaceMB CapacityMB

    vSphere 1 63634 511744 storage

    vSphere 2 60576 511744 storage

The data that I get of you add up all the VMDK located on these two stores of data then subtracting total capacity does not equal free space above. I did this on our entire VM infrastructure and continue to run on this issue. The VMDK must reside somewhere, so why they bring two different digits? Is there a any correlation between the VMDK size and free space? Often my data are disabled by nearly a terabyte.

In this case less than 50 GB, remember to file vswp, etc.

But sometimes report is simply wrong in vSphere Client, you can get accurate information in the service console.

  • Memory size incorrect notification in Windows XP for ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M

I have a problem that keeps buging me:

The thing is that I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L20-181, with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M graphics card, which, on the toshiba site is specified to support up to 128 MB. After that I tried to configure the size of the memory for the graphics card in the BIOS, to a precise value, Windows Xp is not displayed correctly this amount of memory. I think that the graphics card has another source of memory, DDR2 RAM memory, but I'm not sure.
Initially, I had a 256 DDR2 dim. After configuring the Ati card for a value of 32 or 64 in Bios, entering into Win XP, it displays a value of 128 MB SGDDR.
Then I bought another 256 dim (I have 2 x 256 ddr2 dims now), and an additional value of 128 appeared in the BIOS. When you now set the value 32, Win XP shows me 128 MB SGDDR, and when you set the value of 64 or 128 I get 256 MB SGDDR in Win XP (which is impossible! because the ATI Board is supposed to support only up to 128 MB). This problem can also be caused by the driver. I installed the drivers from the CD of Toshiba, and I can't find another driver to work for her. WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE WIN XP SHOW THE CORRECT VALUE FOR THE MEMORY OF THE GRAPHICS CARD? s ' Please help!

    Hello

As far as I know you can change the size of the UMA (default) 32 MB maximum. 128 MB.
This value, which you can change in the BIOS. I put t know where look you good value, but you should start to DirectX. Command: dxdiag.
Here, you can do any graphics test and you can see the total graphics memory

  • Satellite L100-179: 2-3 weeks after recovering sound interruptions and performance drop down

I bought a new L100-179 for my daughter for school. It worked fine out of the box, but after 2 weeks, he was so full of adware (from kazaa) that spybot/adaware teacher could not clean everything off. He could not play sound properly windows sounds or music through Media Player, iTunes or other and happened to be dog slow, taking forever to do anything. So I wiped with reinstall drive and everything was good again.

The only things we loaded were the driver for the card netgear wireless, spybot + teacher adaware and MS Word.
I also configured Norton Internet Security which is preinstalled.

Everything was good for another few weeks, but then the same problem is back, same symptoms - heavly sound interruption, including the sounds of windows startup/exit and the laptop had an age to do anything - it seems to take 90% cpu for a long time to perform ordinary tasks such as opening a session same Explorer.

I ran the anti virus, spybot, adaware pograms, I defragmented the hard drive, I have experienced wth the performance in the Control Panel/System/advanced parameters such as the virtual memory settings, but nothing brought no improvement.

I sat and looked at the processes that are using most of the cpu and it was no matter what app I chose to run or Norton IS components. Everything seems normal, but takes forever to do the simplest things, and he could not play the sounds/music cleanly again.

I had no choice but to wipe again using the recovery as well as before minimum programs cd.
Hey hop - all works fine again, sound is normal and things take a reasonable time to do so - this excludes a hardware problem?
This time we uninstalled Norton Internet Security in the case who was to blame. (application of cpu very hungry)

This lasted 3 weeks before is exactly the same thing - she did bother load the mp3 files on this time, does not load any application or update all the drivers it just used to run word, playing music through WMP and MSN Messenger friends.
Anti-adware programs reported all was clean, I've updated the BIOS, then his driver of Toshiba, defragmented the hard drive barely used and looked like a bunch of other parameters, but once again nothing it improves until wipe us the disc and reload from the recovery disk!

We now only loaded the map without thread, MSWord, iTunes and MSN messenger and it has been fine all over Christmas, but we know it won't last long until he must recover again.

I've seen others report the same problem on this forum, but not a solution that works for me.

We have 5 laptops in the House and it's the only list this problem.

    Any ideas guys?

    Hello

If the CPU is forced to run at high level did you check which process is responsible for this? For the moment, I sometimes have the same problem with iexplore.exe. From time to time CPU is permanent on 100% usage and just if I kill this process manually the laptop works well again.

In general, I noticed that Symantec Norton products need a lot of resources of the laptop and the first thing I did on my Toshiba is to remove it. I recommend you do the same thing after the next recovery procedure. How to do this you can see under http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB6B01NM000ER01.htm

I can't imagine that there may be another problem. By the way L-series is laptop budget and you can't expect a perfect performance, but for every day use, the device is pretty good. Try to set it up without any applications that need a lot of resources and slow CPU activity.

I'm sure you have many experiences for laptop and you will understand what I mean. ;)
