  We have designed our last journal edition and by default, it has updated the version 20. He showed at this stage in the organizer of producer of Folio of DPS. When we have updated to the latest version of the software, we had some problems, so in an attempt to solve these problems we have updated the version of the folio version 24.   What is your folio format? If it is in PDF format, unfortunately producer Folio does not show assets PDF for items.

• Strange folio PDF zoom

  I'm on proffesional account. Latest tools v26.

  I did folio PDf 768 x 1024 horizontal vertical 1024 x 1535 (for readability on ipad mini, if it matters)

  In folio meta, I put a scrolling smoothly offshore and scan: only off.

  In a vertical position, there is no problem, but in horizontal half page is unzoomable. If I zoomed to the top I can not navigate to the bottom.

  Is this normal?

  I took a quick glance to the InDesign document sent to you. I don't know how you create the folio, but what you're trying to do is not supported. If you want an InDesign page that is larger than a screen of the iPad to work, you need to scroll smoothly. If you try to add the document you provided via the Folio Builder panel without adjustment of scrolling smoothly on it it will block to be added.

• Cannot test folio PDF Desktop Adobe Content Viewer

  Hi all

  I get an error when I'm testing my folio PDF format on my desktop Adobe Content Viewer.

  I get the error in Dutch (my language), but it translated: "this folio contains one or more fireplaces that are not yet supported for the viewer of content for the office. PDF batteries are only supported in iOS-viewers. »

  This happens when I click on 'Preview' in the folio Builder. I work on a Macbook with Mac OS X Lion.

  Help would be appreciated since I can't find anything about with PDF format folio on the internet!

  Well known limit and that is exactly what it says it is.

  You cannot use the Office Viewer to check PDF folios.

• resolution iPhone question 6 DPS folio

  We have an existing application for the iPad (folio multi with subs) DPS.

  I am redoing to include the iPhone.

  I have configured the folios in 1024 and the HD version for iPad, it seems ok. I tend to make assets rasterised at 50% so they look ok upward.

  Should what resolution I use for the iPhone? If I understand correctly, I'll need to do the "renditions" - two, to take into account the proportions different (3:2 and 16:9). Unlike the iPad, I'm better artworking for iPhone 6 more size and down (Alt layouts), or could I work at 5 and use a similar method to make them clear for 6 and 6 +? He will pick up the res 6 5s and 6 +?

  The viewer of the iPhone has no support even for an iPhone 6 / 6 + return. You should design for the iPhone 5, indications that we have, is that iPhone 5 content seems perfectly fine on the iPhone 6 without change.

• Is it possible to share files of DPS folio with people WITHOUT ID icloud?

  Basically, we are trying to create interactive documents for a client to play on the ipad (so why we use not only the interactive pdfs) and it seems that the best way to create these brochures animation uses DPS files.

  HOWEVER, as I test what I can for an awareness that the customer would need an icloud ID to connect and view the document. That's pretty much out of the question given the number of people will want to consult the separate file on ipads (probably close to 400). Is there a way to get around this? Or in any event that the folio can be viewed with another application?

  The answer is no. That said, you can use the same ID for all 400 iPads. There is no current to the limit, but I suspect that if this practice becomes widespread too, this can change.

  the DPS homepage used to include a link to a printable PDF produced by Adobe describing all the features and "how to" information. I found this resource useful. I have not used DPS for about 6 months now and a lot seems to be produced while the space - but I can't find this resource pdf file to download and use it as a guide to start my next folio.

  Adobe still release these PDF files, and if so where is it?

• Folio PDF on ipad error

  I'm running into trouble and can not know what went wrong where the go...

  Customer asked us to do a folio zoomable to a printed brochure. (I know, is not ideal, but it's a first job to dps for him)

  Printed brochure has 68 simple page (single page size 210x210mm - size 420x210mm spread) and 4 extra large pages with tabels and cards (size of spread is 630x210mm and of 1 + 1 single page 210x210mm page 420x210mm).

  At this point, I did a folio viewable horizontal and vertical with the 4 pages extra-large as 1 page floating inside the folio. Everything seems fine at first but the scollable pages or some pages with many objects vector loading is very slow, sometimes it takes more then 1 min. to display the well rendered page in the Folio of dps (for this minute, we see a very lores and view unreadable on the screen).

  And, when zomming on scrolling pages, it seems if things go worse... first of all, we see a lores version, then everything goes black and maybe 30 seconds later, that the display is updated in blocks (looks like if photoshop runs out trying to rebuild the image in memory), then the view is hiring and readable but I cannot reach.

  I think the files pdf is complex to show as vectors, but couldn't find anything about such a limit and if I show these pages as images (not PDF) are zoomable.

  Thus, in serious trouble that makes the customer (and us) doubt if the dps is the right way to go with a project like this...

  Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

  Vector data must be made and you have a lot of it.

  That said, how exactly did you create this folio? You just place

  PDF documents in layouts InDesign because if that's all you do, stop now

  and just use PDF files.

• Waterproofing of the DPS folios with the customer

  Can you recommend a smoother way of proofing folios DPS with my client, other that pulling all overlays and showing them separately on another work and provision for supplement of PDF?

  The easiest way would be if create you an Adobe account and share the folio with it so that your customers can view in Adobe Content Viewer.

  Then, just of their give credentials on behalf of Adobe and they can log on to their devices.

  I know this is an old thread, but I got this error even while following with your DPS essential training Lynda.com tutorial, chapter "Overview of your work" on the desktop, using the files in the tutorial for this chapter according to the guidelines. I use CS6, and is the version of the Viewer does not exceed 24. When I check the updates, there is none is available. This error could be related to the version of the viewer or a mistake in my folio creation?

  I'm branching off it to a new thread because the old is three years old.

  You must update the DPS Office Tools. Everything you use is very old.

  For your customer to use ACV and check your folios shared, it must create a id Adobe or you can create one for them. You have DPS CC or DPS unique edition (serial number base) license?

  I work in the muse, and curious to know if it is possible to do? Cannot find anything on this subject online.

  My idea is that when viewing the site on the desktop or on an ipad that I could link to a product of dps that I made earlier, I have the .foilio files and so on.

  From what I have read and understand the .folio file is available on the process side server that will be recognized by the folio app Builder. Therefore, you cannot embed on a Web site.

  On the other hand your folios can be found on the viewer Adobe content for the web that you can read about it here:

  Yes, you can view the contents of DPS in a browser on a computer. This feature requires a professional subscription or company DPS. It is not available through creative cloud / simple editing.
