Resolution P1273B LAN

Is it possible to set a higher at 1024 x 768 resolution on Acer P1273B projecotr when connected via LAN or wireless?

According to the documentation I have on this product, it seems that 1024 x 768 is the best resolution supported for this product.

    Hello

Am stuck with a problem with Cisco Any connect.

My organization has a domain name (for example, domain.com) and the local NETWORK card is configured with the IP Address of the DNS server to resolve host names. Connectionless Cisco Any-connect the resolution on LAN is going very well and I am able to solve the COMPLETE domain name (for example, name1.domain.com).

Now, when I connect Cisco-plug any software provided by customers, the all-connect also provides a DNS server IP in the map virtual all - Connect, and once connected to the VPN is not identify the FQDNs on local network (for example, name1.domain.com), he solves all the FQDN behind the VPN (for example name2.foreigndomain.com)

On troubleshooting, we checked out the route for the DNS on VPN server has liked metric and resolution of FULL domain name is passing through the DNS on the VPN server. Now since the DNS from VPN server has no DNS on the LAN (or FQDN on LAN) server information it doesnot solve.

Note: Here "domain.com" and "foreigndomain.com" are 2 separate institutions.

I was going through some documents and seen on the split-dns VPN configuration but was not sure if it's the real solution.

Wish I had the solution so that even that my Cisco Any-Connect be connected DNS traffic to 'foreigndomain.com' must be passed on the rest to another VPN all DNS resolution to get by using the local configuration of NIC DNS.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you...

    Hello

As you mentioned the right way is to set up a split in this way DNS only DNS for domain name queries FULL configured on the SAA will be routed on the tunnel to the ASA DNS server configured for the tunnel traffic

    Hello

Lan on my HP coverage is broken. The part of midle bit in the lid which is supposed to take the ethernet cable is gone. EBay is full of lids of replacements, but not this particular one. Is it possible to get it / any place I can order from? I can replace it myself but I can't find the piece in the store of spare parts of HP. Thank you.

    Hi @Okamensky,

Thank you for your participation in the Forums of HP Support! It is a great location to get resolutions and interact with experts from the community. I understand that you have problems with a broken plug LAN cover. It will be a pleasure to help you.

Did a remarkable job to do your copious research to find the right piece before asking your question in the forums of HP. It's always a great pleasure to work with tech-savvy and technically customers sounds like you. Kudos to you for this. I am amazed to see your technical skills, replace it with yourself and certainly value your relationship with HP. We greatly appreciate you for doing business with HP and I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.

First of all, as the cover of LAN is not sold in a separate part, you must replace the speaker all background Panel or the base of the unit, as it is integrated. You can visit this link to order the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com so if please select the country and enter the product # unit and search to identify the desired parts. You can also call the part store and give them a product name # and the model of your device to be able to help you order the right part. The phone number is registered on the Web site.

  • Wake On Lan for Pavilion 500-046

I have been using Wake On Lan on my other computers to wake up computers on my network that have been closed using the Windows 7 shutdown command. This is a very useful feature for me, and I would like to make it work on my computer HP Pavilion Desk Top with Qualcomm AR8161 PCI - E Gigabit Ethernet control. The Bios on the 500-046 has this option, and I put it to ACTIVATE. I am running Windows 8.1 update on the Pavilion. I, moreover, looked at other possible power in Device Manager settings, but I'm not having any luck getting it works. There is absolutely no response from the Pavilion when a wake on LAN signal is sent. A similar question has been posted by me a few days there are no answers. Maybe and Expert could give it a whirl. Thanks for any help.

    Hello fredkoch3,

I read your post about how you have problems to wake on LAN issues with your desktop computer, and I'd be happy to guide you to a resolution!

To start, I recommend that you follow this thread on ' Wake on LAN ' (WOL) behavior in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. This should help explain how (WOL) is used for Windows compared to Windows 7 8.1.

To find out if your system can be configured for Wake on Lan, I suggest a command "powercfg' running on your computer. This will check the power management features available. To do this, please follow the steps in the following procedure:

    1. Press and hold the Windows key and the R button simultaneously
    2. Type the word cmd in the box provided
    3. In the command prompt window, type the command "powercfg - availablesleepstates.
    4. Here you can compare the available sleep States using the document States supply system to see if (WOL) is available.

    Hello!

    1. drivers you can get on the site of Toshiba or live production.
Where did you download the drivers?
Maybe a BIOS update will solve the problem.

    2. it of the same as point 1; Toshiba or directly to manufacturing.
But don t forget a notebook is not an entertainment system, and if you want high quality sound you need external speakers.

    3. this package contains the actual installation files, but you must install them manually. This may make you in the device, right click on LAN card Manager and update the driver.

I am trying to acquire thousands of waveforms of an Agilent MSO8104a following the pilot provided examples. Currently I am data acquisition of continuous waveform of the scope on LAN, but the data I receive are limited to 8-bit resolution which is simply not enough to capture the waves I collect. The range of amplitude signals of ~-10mV to ~-5V and I used a DC offset to use the maximum range of the ADC, but when I capture a wavefrom on the scope manually I get a much higher resolution in time and voltage.

Is there a way I can increse the meanless LabVIEW is the recovery of the scope?

Attention, views of scope can play tricks on you.  If you dig into the specification of the scope enough you will find that the ADC in the scope is 8-bit.  You can get 12 equivalent bit with averaging turned on, but it's only good for periodic signals.

  • Windows XP cannot see that the internet can only see LAN

We have a small network in my house. My router was set to WEP security (I know its too old, but my windows xp laptop computer does not work with WPA or newer). And I also added mac filtering for more security addresses. This network has worked well for 2 years.

Meanwhile in a cell phone (that has windows XP sp3) so its wireless network broke, and we couldn't get living, then we just plugged on the router via a cable.

Recently I had to reset my router because I forgot a password and I could add anything to the mac filter list.

After that, I put at 'the original' for example WEP + mac filtering (only the passwords have been changed).

Now everything is working fine, 2 laptops (both Windows 7 a), 2 readers, network all our phones smart etc can connect again, the only laptop (with Windows XP) problem.

The XP laptop can see LAN (two disks) and router only (ping works), but in any browser (firefox, chrome, iexplorer) give me a Web site cannot loaded in the background: error 105, Err_name_not_resolved.

I tried names ping (google.com) and different ip addresses (for example my ISP dns server address) but I get no answer 100% packet loss. I tried a lot of things that they did not help

    (1) has tried to change my XP for some fix + fix dns ip (I found these adressis in my router configuration/network configuration)
    (2) then I put back to dynamic ip once again in the line of cmd ipconfig release, ipconfig/reset, etc., I checked all addresses was going well everywhere (I mean gateway, DHCP server, dns server, looked well with dynamic ip too)

    Thank you for your answer
    Robert

    Hi Robert,.

Thank you for updating us the status of the case.

I suggest that temporarily disable you the firewall.

I recommend you to test name resolution

A DNS server provides host name resolution. If you cannot connect to a server on the Internet by using its FQDN, there could be a problem with the DNS configuration of your dial-up connection to your ISP or DNS server of your ISP.

To determine if there is a problem with the DNS configuration of your dial-up to your ISP connection, follow these steps:

    a. at a command prompt, type ipconfig/all, and then press ENTER to display the IP address of your DNS server. If the IP address of your DNS server does not appear, contact your ISP for the IP address of your DNS server.

    (b) to verify that your computer can communicate with your DNS server, ping IP address of your DNS server. The response looks like this:

    Rattling #. ###. ###. # with 32 bytes of data:

    Response to #. ###. ###. #: bytes = 32 time = 77ms TTL = 28
    Response to #. ###. ###. #: bytes = 32 time = 80ms TTL = 28
    Response to #. ###. ###. #: bytes = 32 time = 78ms TTL = 28
    Response to #. ###. ###. #: bytes = 32 time = 79ms TTL = 28

The series of digital signs (#. #. #. #) represents the IP address of the DNS server.

If you can't ping the IP address of the DNS server successfully, contact your ISP to verify that you are using the IP address and the DNS server is working properly.

When you have verified the correct IP address of your DNS server, update the settings of your connection to your ISP's dial-up TCP/IP. To change or add a valid IP address for your DNS server for a dial-up Networking phonebook entry, follow these steps:

    a. in Control Panel, double-click network connections.

    b. right click on your Internet connection, click Properties and then click the network tab.

    c. click the Internet Protocol adapter, and then click Properties.

    d. click use the following DNS server address, and then type the correct IP address in the preferred DNS server box.

    e. click OK, and then click OK again.

If you need Windows guru, do not hesitate to post your questions and we will be happy to help you.

Enter the serial number of your computer in the box (see 'Where is my Service number' to the right of this page or click on the "Number of Service Detect" button.)

When you enter your serial number in the box and click on 'Submit', you can access a Dell support page that includes the drivers for your specific machine.  Just make sure you get the drivers XP (rather than Vista or Windows 7).

Dell recommends installing the drivers in a specific order: http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&docid=268873

Depending on how you "installed XP," you may have to install service packs, subsequent security updates and an antivirus application.

Here's a mash-up how to install these things from several frequent collaborators on these forums:

    1. download the installation of SP2, SP3 and IE8 (beforehand) files. You can keep these (and other useful files) on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=28 (for SP2)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

(You can TOTALLY ignore the message "intended for it professionals"!)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

(You need to install IE8 AFTER SP3! Trust in me.)

And if you wish, download the Setup file of a good anti-virus program.

Install service packs being connected as a "computer administrator".

If no service pack has the version of XP that you have installed, you must first install the SP2 and SP3 then.  If you already have SP1, SP1a, or SP2, go to the installation of SP3.

  • Driver problem Windows 10 LAN ASPIRE 5750 G

    Hello

I'm having some trouble finding a compatible driver LAN for my aspire 5750G on windows 10.

While it is connected with a LAN cable, the first time I start up my laptop, or after restarting the adapter, internet works. It gives me an IP address and everything. But as soon as I start navigating, I lose the connection to the bridge.

I tried all possible methods to solve this. Tested with another router, disabled ipv6, disabled the dhcp on the router and set up a static IP and gateway + everything else I could find on Google. Nothing works. I tried to install the driver of windows network 7 from the acer support site, but unfortunately, it throws the following error: "this device cannot start. (Code 10) "even with the compatibility settings.

Any of you encountered this problem? If so, could you please share this resolution with me?

  • Cannot change the screen resolution. Help, please

I recently reinstalled Windows XP (service Pack2) on my computer and restored the office to the factory settings. Now, the screen resolution is stuck at 640 x 480 and 16-bit color quality as this was not a problem before. The screen that appears under 'type of screen' in the advanced settings menu says "default monitor" and the properties button is not clickable. I tried to connect another monitor to the PC, but it doesn't help. Can someone help please I really need to change the resolution of the screen to a higher quality? Also, the PC has an internet connection if that makes a difference. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

... What other drivers in addition to the graphics card and network card should I try to install?

In fact, those who are newer than your current drivers.

I understand your reasoning for installing the monitor driver, however, I'd personally chipset (motherboard), video, audio and network (LAN) first. After updating the video driver, there is a chance that it recognises so the screen correctly.

I don't know if you have reinstalled Windows XP from floppy disks to install Windows or Dell installation/recovery disks or partition restore hidden, but nevertheless, the drivers that were installed during installation is as new as the installation media. Given that the media are at least 5 years and more (maybe 8 years and more), there is an excellent chance that all the material and device drivers have been updated.

If you know the serial number or the Express Service Code on your machine, you can enter the page linked below and it should display all the downloads available for your computer. • LAN does not work when the Cisco E1000 router hangs

    Original title: Download sp3

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone! I bought recently a new Cisco E1000 router. My computer is a laptop model Lenovo 0769.

I am running windows XP with sp2. The cisco software requires sp3. I called support of cisco and even they couldn't get to download sp3. My network is wireless on the router and I had to install from another laptop computer on the system. My LAN does not work when hooked. What do you suggest to me.

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    Hi mdenrique,

    1. what exactly do you mean by LAN (Local Area Network) does not work? You get the error message?

If you have not installed Service Pack 3, try the following steps:
Step 1: Download Service Pack 3
see How to obtain the latest Windows XP service pack .
    b. scroll the window and click on "Download now the Windows XP Service Pack 3 package" to download the service pack.
    c. save the file on the desktop.

Step 2: Install Service Pack 3
    a. open the file downloaded and follow the instructions in the wizard to complete the installation.
    b. restart the computer once the installation is complete.

For more information, see steps to take before you install Windows XP Service Pack 3

Note: Once you have installed service pack 3, install the router and check if the problem persists.

Step 3: To troubleshoot LAN, run home and small Office Networking Troubleshooter
    a. Click Start and then click Help and Support.
    b. under Pick a help topic, click Network and Internet.
    c. under network and the Web, click on resolution of networking or Web problems and then click on home and small Office Networking convenience store.
    d. answer the questions in the troubleshooter to try to find a solution.

  • Address resolution protocol

I have a question regarding the Protocol address resolution.

Suppose that a network device enters a network where the trafficking involves UPnP messages among other things.

How the device will start its cache ARP Table fill?

My understanding is that the following sequence takes place...

    1. the unit can receive a UPnP discover message, it must take into account.

    2. now, he already has the MAC address of the bridge while attribution of IP through DHCP.

    3. it sends a response to the entry door, because he does not know the MAC address of sender tha of the UPnP message.

    4. the bridge takes care to send the message to the destination MAC address.

    5. after sending the response, the device to update its ARP table by sending ARP messages to the sender of the previous UPnP message.

    I hope that I don't confuse anyone!

Basically any network device that I'm trying to ask is do an entry in its ARP table before you reply to the sender of a message to the network?

Or she will leave the bridge deal with it and take care of the ARP table entry later (see above)?

    see you soon,

    Gandalf

I don't see the contradiction between 2 and 4. One is for the unicast and the other for the multicast/broadcast. Suffice to say, that a computer that receives something captures the information contained in the ARP table.

He enters information in the ARP cache because that's how it works. Remember that the ARP and the management of entire ARP cache is at a very low level in the communication stack. All of the ARP is located somewhere in the "context". Programs only communicate using the intellectual property and will just send something to an IP address. Everything, that is, ARP, routing, etc. is done automatically in the operating system.

Of course, it can always be that the person who receives something has no answer. But how the Protocol IP or ARP knows he won't? It is much easier and faster to store the information anyway. It is stored for 5 minutes. If this is not necessary it won't really hurt. If it is necessary it is already there and should not start another ARP request to find the MAC address of the original sender to answer now. For example, you store information that you have learned. You store the information if you receive an ARP request for your IP address, and in other cases.

With regard to the last question: it depends on what is the 'message '.

All communication over ethernet (wired or wireless) using MAC addresses. Always. It matters little whether unicast, multicast, or broadcast. The latter two uses special MAC addresses, but that's all. An ethernet frame always contains an address MAC of the sender and the receiver. Always.

Frames Ethernet with any protocol you like. If it contains no IP packets, there are no contained IP addresses. If it contains an IP packet there are IP addresses.

Thus, a multicast ethernet or broadcast may or may not contain IP addresses according to what is content. If this is not IP there is no IP address

Any communication using IP (regardless of the Protocol below) has IP addresses. It matters little whether unicast, multicast, or broadcast. An IP packet always contains the IP address of the sender and the destination. broadcast and multicast addresses are just special IP addresses.

When you send IP through an Ethernet the image on the thread will contain the IP address and MAC. When you send the IP through a network ATM frames will contain the IP and ATM addresses. IP and 'carrier' protocol that is used on the physical media connecting the two devices are entirely independent.

Of course, the most common installation in a House that LAN (many other sources) is usually a LAN ethernet, which means that you are running IP over ethernet within your local network.

I have a Latitude E7440 running a clean install of Windows 10. If the computer has been stopped, I can use a Wake - On - Lan Magic Packet to the MAC address of the Ethernet port (as described here) to turn the computer back on. But if the computer is in hibernation, it does not work.

Probably, it is that when the computer is in hibernation the link on my switch light is off, but when it is stopped, the link light is on.

So my question is: How can I get this phone to maintain the LAN port when hibernation, in the same way on shutdown? Thanks in advance.
