Resolution video troubleshooting

I have a problem of video resolution.

I set my screen resolution in VMWare workstation to a max of 1600 x 900, but it is not taken.  Any help or ideas are appreciated.

Details:

-With the help of VMWare Workstation 9.0.2.

-VM version a material v7

-Comments operating system is Windows Server 2008R2

-L'OS is Windows 7 Enterprise

The relevant section of my .vmx file is below:

SVGA. AutoDetect = "FALSE".

svga.maxWidth = "1600".

svga.maxHeight = "900".

svga.vramSize = "134217728.

svga.numDisplays = '1 '.

The workstation user interface reflects these entries in VM > settings > display

Symptoms:

-When I boot, I get resolution 1400 x 1050, more my maxHeight.

-When I try to change the resolution in the comments, 1600 x 900 is not available as an option, even under Advanced options > list all modes.

What I tried (without resolution):

-Uninstall and reinstall the latest VMWare tools.

-Mucking with the svga.vramSize in the .vmx file.

-Added video modes as described in http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1003.  I was unable to find the registry key vmx_svga which was necessary and could not find Resolution.3.

-Mucking with the system registry, as shown here: http://www.netometer.com/video/tutorials/core-server-change-resolution/index.php

-> Adam

Solved my problem and feel like a fool for spending hours on this...

I got off Autofit Guest.  That's because once I have 1600 x 900, I want to keep it there to take screenshots.

I turned on and re-size of the window to more than 1600 x 900.  I was in mode 1600 x 900.

Then I shut it off again.

  • Tecra 8100: Can't get high resolution - video controller driver?

    Hello

    Anyone can answer the question?

I have a 8100 Tecra which was under Windows 98. I upgraded to Win2000P but I can't get the right amount of colors or greater than 600 x 800 resolution. Also, I can't load the former driver of BT's broadband services.

In Device Manager, it is required for the video controller (VGA Compatible). I searched the site of Toshiba for a suitable download and can't find something like this.

Does anyone know if the solution to this problem exists on this Web site or if Toshiba can send me a disc with the necessary info.

Another idea of the problem is that it may need a mother board driver, if what can be downloaded?

Sorry if it's vague but I am writing this on behalf of my stepfather, so it is second hand information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

    Hey Buddy

Looks like you a little confused re.
I think I can help you

So to me it looks like a missing display driver. What do you think?
Did you install the display driver for W2k?

On the European Toshiba driver page I found a drivers needed for W2k and the display driver is also available.
There are 2 display drivers, so check everything first to support it.

You mentioned the driver BT broadband. Did you mean Bluetooth?
To my knowledge this device does not have Bluetooth support.

  • WebRTC getUserMedia resolution video support

    Hi, BlackBerry community!

I am developing an application photobooth with modular filtration using color matrices system.

I'm just a small problem - what are the video resolutions supported the WebRTC on the BlackBerry? By default seems to be 480 × 640, but it's a bit low for a photobooth app.

Or any other way than WebRTC to get the entry of live camera to ?

    Thank you.

Yes, the WebWorks plugin custom. But I recommend the WebRTC route if possible.

I want to know if the resolution constraints are respected on BlackBerry 10; It may be interesting to drop a JIRA to do this.
    https://www.BlackBerry.com/JIRA/secure/dashboard.jspa

Some previous papers, the API can be simply choose a default resolution, I saw the reference to the display of the available resolutions when you take the camera (i.e. When you choose camera duplex, a list of resolutions would be made available as well.) However, I have not seen which is the case in my tests.

My recommendation would be to open the JIRA in the meantime, that the constraints are not followed. Don't forget to give the code example that you are running, and development teams should be able to provide more information / confirm the behavior.

  • low-resolution video on DVD

    Hi all

I have a 30-minute video that I put in place the first Pro on my Mac Mini using CS6 and OS X 10.10.4.  My video has 1920 x 1080 image resolution.  When I invoke again to generate the DVD, I get the following window.  This indicates my DVD 720 x 480 video resolution, which is much lower res then 1920 x 1080.  I am unable to change that in again.  The DVD which results when played on my TV 52 "looks pretty bad.  The entire video uses only 1.7 GB of the + 4 GB on the disk.

Is there anyway that I can improve the resolution of the DVD?

    Thank you

    Kevin H.

720 x 480 are dvd specifications. You can not change this.

If you want the best resolution to make a bluray disc.

If you have a dvd look a little better on a big screen TV use with upscaler or blurayplayer dvd player to read the dvd.

    No mpeg2 but mpeg2-DVD.

This will give you two files: one for video and one for audio.

Drop that in again, do menu, burn, finished.

  • My gopro4 videos play rough

My gopro4 videos play choppy by a second interval. Gopro3 played very well. When I try to download an update of the graphics driver, it won't let me. (not enough room?) Is there any solution for this?

    Hello, TrailRider987.

Sounds like you see a playback choppy or jerky in GoPro Studio with the recorded video on your camera GoPro Hero4. The following information on the GoPro support site offers a great insight on possible option to solve your problem:

    Studio GoPro stuttering video playback

If you experience playback stutter or jerky in GoPro Studio, it could be that your computer is having a hard time keeping up with the preview video of high quality. If this happens, try the following:

    1. In the upper right section of the GoPro Studio in step 2: Edit, you will see the read setting. Try to drop by half or quarter resolution. This just impact on the preview and has no impact on the final outcome.

    1. Make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements.
    2. Check with your graphics card manufacturers site or the Web site your computer manufacturers if you use your laptop to make sure you have the latest graphics driver installed

How to fix choppy or broken near the top of the reading

    How to do

If you are experiencing choppy or snapped up of reading when viewing your videos, it will usually come down to the computer not being able to process data from the large video files fast enough HD.

We have a few things for you to try, and that should help clarify the issue of the choppy playback that you see on your computer:

    1. make sure you copy your videos on the hard drive of your computer from a SD card in your camera before read you them.
Play videos from your SD card can result in choppy playback.

2 play your videos with VLC Media Player.
It is a free software that does not have a lot of resources on your computer.  This means that your computer can focus more on smoothly playback your videos.   We found that it is common for Windows Media Player, give you choppy playback, so we do not recommend using it.  You can download VLC Media Player here: www.videolan.org.  If you are looking for a quick fix, you can proceed to step 4.  Windows Media Player may not support playback of resolutions video camera higher than 720 p 120 fps.  This means that 1080 p resolutions and higher can not read.  You will hear audio, but you won't see any video.

    3. make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements to play videos from your camera.
For lower resolution videos (1080 p 30 FPS and less): we require at least 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processors (at least 2.4 GHz 2nd generation Core processors recommended) and 4 GB of RAM to play lower resolution videos (1080 p 30 FPS and less).

For the higher resolution videos (1080 p 60 fps and more): we recommend at least 3.0-3.7 GHz Ivy Bridge processors (processors Core third generation or equivalent AMD), 4 GB of RAM and a graphics comparable to a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M.  The speed of processor and the graphics card is important especially for 2.7 K and 4K resolution video playback.

Here's how you can check if your computer meets the minimum system requirements:

    Mac:
Click the "Apple" in the upper left corner of your screen and then click on "about this Mac".  Click on 'more information... »

    {...}

    4. save in lower video resolution & disable Protune.
If your computer cannot read 1080 p 30 fps smoothly, try to record videos at 720 p, 30 frames per second instead.  The lower resolution means that your computer will have less work to do when playing the video, so he's going to have an easier time giving you a smooth playback. If your device is equipped with Protune, disable this feature to facilitate the reading of your computer.

Thank you for reaching out to the communities of Apple Support.

    Kind regards.

  • Import XAVC-S video for iPad 9.7 Pro

    Hello

I'm about to buy a Sony A5100 to capture high resolution video in format XAVC-S.

I have been see in online forums that the iPad Pro is unable to manage the import of larger files (more than 15 sec or almost), despite being promoted as a K 4 x 4 video editing machine!

Apparently the same problem persists when you use lighting to the USB Camera adapter. It was suggested that the NEW lighting USB3 adapter might work as it supports higher rates of transfer (4 K), BUT I just found out that it is only the 12.9' Pro who did USB3.0? Apparently, the 9.7 has USB 2.0.

It's really frastrating given the poor marketing. What I want to do is simple; Record videos on my camera high resolution and change it on my iPad 9.7 Pro without the need to import first to a mac.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Satellite P200 1EE problems with playback HD video and USB ports

I bought the laptop Satellite P200-1EE dixons for and I'm happy with it in many ways, but the main reason I bought the 1EE P200 was because of its potential to play and edit the video high defintion.

I can't seem to play or watch video clips high definition without them being clumsy and with a frequency of images at 3 frames per second, and not the 30 frames per second, he must turn.

The clips I'm playing are some MOV files record on my camera at 1280 by 720 resolution at 30 frames per second and the two Quictkime player and Realplayer they simply are not quite smooth. Given that the laptop has a DVD player high definition and a high-end graphics card ATI HD 2600 ispecifically intentional for high defintion watch a DVD high defintion to 2040 by 1080 I do not understand why he should fight with playback relatively low resolution video files.

I would edit 720 video high definition and the speed of the processor, the speed of the bus, ram and graphics card should be enough for this high defintion video simple editing, so if he can not even play video high defintion, what chance does he have to edit video high defintion?

After only 2 days of working completely fine Vista Vista completely crushed and the computer refused to restart. I had to use the recovery disk and completely wipe the hard drive. not a good introduction to vista which, apart from that, it was very slippery. After you have installed Office 2003 it works completely fine on Vista Home premium

Does anyone have suggestions or solutions?

    Hi Daniel

To be honest you message confuses me.
The recorded movies (.mov files) are not format true high definition as in movies on HD DVD or Blue ray!

I think you need to convert these files first in a format mpeg mov or avi format and then you can try to play with ordinary players like WMP, Real player, etc.

    Here are some useful tools;

    Converts mov to mpeg
    http://www.radgametools.com/binkhcon.htm

    Convert mov to avi
    http://www.JakeLudington.com/ask_jake/20051003_convert_mov_to_avi.html

With regard to the question of the USB.
Try to remove the USB port on the Device Manager and restart the laptop. After restarting again the USB ports should be recognized again and the USB driver should be updated.
In most cases, this enables the USB flash drive.

  • Video playback (HDX 18 Premium) online glitches

    Hello

I recently bought a computer to X 18-1190EW HP HDX. Little time after the installation and configuration, I noticed that during video playback high definition from popular sites (Youtube, Dailymotion, Vimeo) video does not work smoothly. Instead, it freezes for short periods of time every few seconds. Most of the time the sound is OK, but with higher resolution videos (especially Vimeo HD) even the sound tends to "stutter".

I think that the problem might be related with the configuration of the video card, or with the video being buffered on the hard drive. When I view a video previously buffered for the second time, playback is smooth.

I don't think my computer does not have the processing power to decode/display of the video (Intel Quad CPU, Nvidia 9600 M GT, 4 GB of RAM, disk HARD 2 x 500 GB), so I hope that it is purely a question/configuration of the software. In addition to preinstalled HP software, I added "Vista Codec Pack" - this could be the cause?

I would appreciate any suggestions that could help me solve this problem.

    Thank you

    Hello

Do you have the latest version of the graphics driver from HP. Check here

Try to update flash player here and web divx codec here.

If there are still problems with it try to install Nvidia drivers for your graphics here.

Don't forget if you want to update your graphic drivers first uninstall the old and install this new.

  • Sync audio/video Windows Movie Maker problem

When you use Windows Movie Maker 5.1 to capture video from my Panasonic PV-GS39 DV camera, audio is 15 seconds ahead of the video.  Anyone know what is the cause or how to fix it?  No other programs are running at the time of the capture.

    Windows Movie Maker 5.1
    Windows XP Service Pack 3

It is difficult to say why Windows Movie Maker would be to have this problem, but my recommendation would be to eliminate it from the video capture process. There is an excellent free program called WinDV you can use to capture video on your computer, then you can change using Windows Movie Maker, once the capture is complete. Video capture questions can be exasperating. Along with other instructions of troubleshooting, I explain why you might want to use WinDV in a tutorial on video troubleshooting.

  • Video made by the manufacturer of window film is so blurred in YouTube

I made a video using windows movie maker & converted and uploaded to YouTube, but the text is very vague and fuzzy. Not at all certain. I checked the size is 8 MB, I was told the resolution is lower by a friend. But I don't know how to do right and make the text clear. I tried searching in google and seem so confused and disappointed. Please, let me know as soon as possible. I'll be really happy. I use Windows Vista.

    Hello bandhan1983,

If you have imported the video, it may be that it was created at a resolution lower than the files from Movie Maker. Try to a higher resolution videos from your camera to see if it makes a difference.
