Resolution max HP 8560w - external monitors?

I bought recently an Asus 27 "monitor capable of resolution 2560 x 1440. My laptop could not go higher than 1920 x 1200, so I'm now looking for a replacement laptop. Will be 8560w or other EliteBook with connectors port screen do the work?

I wanted to use a monitor BENQ of WAP 2010 with my Satellite P300 laptop operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

When I connect it, the display resolution changes to an unusable.
I installed the latest ATI drivers that I downloaded from the Toshiba site. Max screen resolution is 1680 x 1050. This resolution no longer exists after the connection of the monitor.

Also, I can't set the correct resolution for the LCD display of the laptop more.

How set up the screen, so that the monitor displays a clone of the LCD screen for laptop and find the correct resolution?

    Hello

    > Max monitor resolution is 1680 x 1050. This resolution no longer exists after the connection of the monitor.
Please understand that not all possible solutions are supported by a graphics card chip or a graphics card driver.
If one of the parts mentioned would not support this resolution then you will not be able to choose and use the external monitor!

In your case, I recommend the manual of your laptop.
There you can find a list of available external resolutions and supported.

  • How to activate the resolution wide screen to external monitor on Equium A60?

    Hello

I had an Equium A60 with an ATI Radion 7000 mobility grahpics chip in it. Earlier the LCD is dead and has decided to use an external monitor rather than replace it. However, the external monitor is a monitor 22 '' widescreen computer does not provide a display suitable for resolution. Is it possible to update the graphics driver to provide the wide screen formats. I looked on the toshiba updates, but there is nothing new there, and ATI are not ready to support offer it on a laptop.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

You can't choose your preferred resolution because the graphics driver does not support.
Eventually the 3rd party driver support your favorite display resolution, but to be honest I wouldn't use these drivers because it could cause serious difficulties for laptop.
The point is that these 3 third-party drivers are untested and not certified by Toshiba.
Therefore, the use is at your own risk.

  • Tecra M2: No. 1400 x 1050 resolution graphics and an external monitor

    Hello.
I use a Tecra M2, with GeForce FXGo5200, Win XP (patched), latest graphic driver 4.6.4.4.
    Problem:
There is no possibility to standard resolution 1400 x 1050 to the external monitor.

1600 x 1200 (and higher), 1280 x 1024 and many others are available in a long list, but the one I need for the Samsung 203 b is missing - even if "no longer view the resolutions not taken in charge" in the monitor display properties is disabled.
According to the manual of T2, 1400 x 1050 is supported.

Tested with 1600 x 1200 on a different monitor and it works perfectly.
Interesting: If I uninstall the graphics driver, I can go to 1400 x 1050, so from a technical point of view, it should work.

Work without graphics driver is no alternative.
If anyone has had this problem or knows how to force the pilot to switch to 1400 x 1050?
    Thank you very much!

    You re right.
Supported by this resolution, but it seems that this resolution was not in the graphics card drivers.
I put t know why the factory doesn't graphics driver includes some resolutions to this software but if it s are not so I guess there's nothing to see. :(

  • Need to reset the external monitor resolution in Windows Vista

Stupidly, I changed the resolution of my new external monitor on my laptop to a not available (single mode external monitor) and received a message on the screen: "out of range" + white screen. No matter how hard I tried, I can't use one external monitor mode and must live with double display (which is a waste of energy on my tiny laptop screen). Could someone tell me please how to reset the resolution setting in Vista for the external monitor?

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

You can try the steps below and check if the problem is resolved.

You can go to the control panel of the screen and reset it to factory settings.

And if you face the same problems, then, you must contact your system provider who will be in a better position to help you reset the external screen to its default state.

As a workaround, so check you have function keys on your portable computer, which can go from a monitor to your laptop and external monitor.

If Yes, then try to return to the screen of the laptop and turn off the external monitor.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Need for external monitor for Portege R500

The screen on the R500 (PPR50E-01301TEN) is fine for a use for an hour or two on the go, but if I use it constantly throughout the day, I get a bad neck and headache (perhaps the angle that you have to look as far as its small size). So I want to get the external monitors for her at work and at home. Home preference would be an LCD TV.

The problem is Windows tells me that the screen resolutions supported for the external monitor is 1280 x 768, 1920 x 1080 and 1920 x 1200. Linux wants to offer me 1280 x 800 or below, although I might be able to fix this with a little tweaking. Assuming that Windows is right, does anyone know of a 18-21 "wide screen monitor or a TV with one of the resolutions supported as its native resolution, or even a resolution supported? I can't find something.

It should probably be 1920x1xxx, 1280 x 768 will be quite grainy close up on a 18 "+ monitor." Why aren't all common intermediate resolutions on the monitors (1440 x 900 or 1680 x 1050) supported? If he can do 1920x1xxx, he should be able to make them.

As much as I know duplicator can not improve things. This external device just flow through the signal from the computer laptop itself.

  • External monitor native 1920 x 1080 won't go full screen (Samsung LD220G)

As the title says... And that's something, I thought that he can never be wrong, I'm so frustrated.

    Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster LD220G, native 1920 x 1080 60 HZ,

I connect to it with a DVI cable.

    My laptop is Acer Aspire 6920: OS = Win7 x 64 bit. image = nVidia 9500GS.

I know how to do a right-click on the desktop > screen resolution and set the external monitor to 1920 x 1080. And it shows in the monitor 1920 x 108. But instead there is an empty (black) strip 1 inch left to left and right of the screen to be full screen, and the display is compressed (larger)...

I continued to play with the NVidia settings and options the monitor OSD, it won't change.

To a lower resolution, it goes full screen but the texts are stretched or blurred.

I also asked help from Samsung tech support, and they say it must be my computer.

Any ideas guys? Maybe something with the DVI cable bandwidth I use? or find a driver for the monitor would help? (Samsung does not provide a driver that is compatible with win7)

    Thanks for the help!

What is the resolution recommended to your laptop, have you looked at the graphics when you right click the desktop, you can also view the Properties section to review the settings and options.

Usually, it will show you the best size for the file it is reading your t.v. for the best image quality.

    I have a Satellite Pro A100-02Y.

I want to launch an external monitor but don't have any idea how big a monitor will deal graphics drivers. How will I know?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

You should keep one fact in mind that the available screen resolution depends on the graphics card and the graphics card driver.
If I'm not mistaken, you can find the max somewhere graphics card resolution information in the user manual.

But note; If the graphics card driver does not support you favorite resolution then you will not be able to use and to choose!

In the properties of the graphics card, you can find the available screen are supported by GPU driver resolutions.
Usually these resolutions could be used on the external monitor, but only if the external monitor takes care of everything.

  • Max Resolution for external monitor via HDMI on Lenovo Y700?

    Hello

I hope that someone has experience with external monitors on a computer laptop y700.

I would like to ask if my laptop Y700 supports resolutions higher than 1920 x 1080 for external displays via HDMI.

Is this possible with my laptop. And it is even possible to connect a 4K screen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

So finally, I tried to connect my laptop to a 2560 x 1080 widescreen-resolution-display via HDMI in an electronics store:

THIS MARKET! It is not a problem to run it with 2560 x 1080 at 60 Hz. The only problem might be a 4K resolution screen that it only works with 30 Hz, because it's an HDMI 1.4 port.

  • Satellite A660-1FM - maximum resolution of the display of the external monitor

    Hi all

Maybe it is (probably) an easy question to answer, but I have a Satellite A660-1FM and want to use it with my external screen Samsung Syncmaster (forgot model). I got a HDMI-> DVI - D adapter and everything is going well, but here's my question:

The page of specifications of toshiba for my laptop (http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-A660-1FM/1096013/toshibaShop/false/) shows a capacity of external resolution of:
    Maximum resolution: 2 048 x 1 536
    Max refresh rate: 100 Hz
Resolution No interlaced with the maximum refresh rate: 1920 x 1 200

But I get what I call resolution HDMI standard (no wonder, I guess) when connected HDMI-> DVI - D to my external monitor. I have already run this monitor on my desk at highest resolution of 1080 p, so the monitor is capable.
Wondering what I'm missing here, or is that a matter of graphics card specification is more than possible to the output of the laptop?

    Thanks for any help

  • Why I can't have a decent resolution of my Macbook Air with an external monitor?

    MacBook Air 13 "(early 2014)

I bought a Samsung S32E590C 32 '' nice monitor but cannot get above 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz (1080 p) using Thunderbolt to HDMI. The resolution is so low that I can't use the screen correctly. I'm afraid I won't be able to get a better resolution with my Macbook Air and will have to sell the monitor...

    Suggestions please.

    Hi sansthwaites,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your MacBook Air and your new view. I'm sure we can help you understand what can happen.

Based on your model described, it seems that the beginning of 2014 MacBook Air should be able to produce a somewhat higher resolution for a monitor external, as shown here:

    Graphics and video Support

    • Intel HD 5000 graphics card
    • Dual display and copy video: simultaneous support for native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors

MacBook Air (13 inches, beginning 2014) - technical specifications

However, the max possible resolution may be limited by the type of connection, or the specific adapter you use. For example, this Mini-DisplayPort-HDMI adapter supports up to 4 K (~ 3840 x 2160) resolution:

Belkin 4 K Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter - Apple

    .. supported .While this Mini-DisplayPort-HDMI adapter only supports 1920 x 1200:

Amazon.com: AmazonBasics Mini (Thunderbolt) adapter DisplayPort to HDMI: computers & accessories

Then how you connect to an external monitor can certainly affect the maximum resolution available. In this case especially, however, I suspect that the issue is actually the screen itself, as it appears from the Samsung S32E590C screen to list a 1920 x 1080 max resolution:

Support - curved screens S32E590C | Monitors Samsung

    I hope that was helpful.

Good day and welcome to the community Chrizztof.

    Since you mention the X1C resolution 1600 x 900, I guess you consider computer either a Gen1 / Gen2.

Here is the detail for each pages:

    Gen1 - Type 34xx

There is support for an external monitor through VGA Dongle
Maximum external resolution: up to 2560 x 1600

    Gen2 - Types A 20, 7, 20A 8
    https://support.Lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-X-series-laptops/ThinkPad-x1...

Just for comparison, here is the link Gen3:

    Gen3 - 20BS, 20BT Types
    https://support.Lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-X-series-laptops/ThinkPad-x1...

    Max resolution: 3840 x 2160 (Mini DisplayPort) @60 Hz; 4096 x 2304 (HDMI) @24 Hz

Note that the Gen2 page does not have a specific indication of the external monitor supported maximum resolution. If I find more detailed resources, I'll post them.

I hope this helps a little.
