  • How can I resolve the error message "Failed to enumerate a device appropriate." for the game "Toy Story 2" for PC?

I have this old PC game called "Toy Story 2" for Windows 95/98 operating system in time and can't launch the .exe.

A month ago, I had a much older graphics card, nvidia GTS 250 if I remember correctly, and I have my Windows 7 Home Prenium edition is installed.
With this graphics card, the game would launch correctly, the screen 'Resolution to define' before entering the game, which means that the game worked fine on my nvidia GTS 250, without displaying the error message:
    Cannot enumerate a suitable device.

Recently, my GTS 250 was gone and I was forced to upgrade. I bought a nvidia GTS 450, as well as some other new games because of my new, more powerful GPU.
After that I installed the device, downloaded the latest drivers to work and click on the toy2.exe icon, a cmd command prompt appears followed by a black screen, enter full screen mode, then close immediately before it allows you to set the resolution of the game, the error next message just after:
    Cannot enumerate a suitable device.

What does the above statement mean?
This game does not work on recent graphics cards?
    Is this a driver problem?
I tried all the options (Windows 95, 98, 2000, etc.) compatibility, tried as Admin, tried to work on my windows XP machine, they do not let you change the graphic acceleration under windows 7, basically, I tried almost everything.
The game is not recognize the graphics card because it is too new? Is there a way to force the application to use my GTS 450? A way to force the application to start with a comprehensive resolution?
Any input is greatly appreciated, I really miss playing this game so bad :(

Seems that this game has some compatibility issues with newer systems. I suggest you post this question on the support forum for Disney page.

    Hope this helps

According to this site, it's the update anti-virus designed to help keep AVG updated and current.

However, I wasn't able to find information about it on the site of AVG. Therefore, I don't know if it is officially included in the module use AVG or a third party. You can try to run without it for now and see if AVG updates or not. If Yes, then you are good to go. If this isn't the case, then I would say that it is an official part of AVG and that AVG may have to be uninstalled and reinstalled as a whole to resolve the error message.

It may be interesting to send a request by email to know if you need AVUS AVG.

It seems that some use AVUS universities to keep their anti-virus up-to-date based on this and it looks like they use with AVUS Sophos. If it's the same AVUS, then it more than likely is not part of AVG.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that the laptop has never been saved, and there is no XP discs for me to reinstall from.

Usually, I get this error when you try to transfer a hard drive from one pc to another, or after replacing a motherboard. The problem is probably the chipset/mass storage drivers.
I had limited success by starting in safe mode and (re) install the drivers downloaded from the manufacturer's website.

  • Error messages receivers dv6 HP Envy locations

    Hello

I don't know if it corresponds to the Commission, but I this will give a shot anyway. I've not had problems with my wifi until recently. When I visit some sites (main pages of blogs Tumblr for example), I got the dreaded message 503 Service unavailable. My phone, no other books in my household facing the same problem that I am so I feel it's only me.

I owned a laptop a few years back that had problems with card wireless (done long signal fire a few minutes), so I suspect that this could be the same thing. I don't know if this is relevant, but currently, there are only three bars on my wifi icon while my phone has five suits. However, I am able to access the majority of the internet just fine.

For reference, I am a user of Windows 8, but I still have to upgrade to 8.1 Windows (because the last time I did, I've been bluescreened (sort of) so I'm a little paranoid), belonging to this laptop for about a year and a half, and I update every time that HP support assistant prompts me.

    Hello em_me,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I read your post about how you receive error messages on some web sites on your laptop, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

To resolve this error message, I advise you to follow this document on troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 8). This should help to run a diagnostic on your system using the network and Internet troubleshooting, as well as measures to maintain your system over the wireless network.

If the problem persists, I recommend following the steps below, starting with a flush of the DNS:

Step 1. Click the Start button
Step 2. In the search box, type "Command Prompt"
Step 3. Right click on command prompt

Step 4. Click on run as administrator
Step 5. At the command prompt, type "ipconfig/release" and press enter

Step 6. Type the command "ipconfig/flushdns".

At this successful? If this isn't the case, I would like you to reset the TCP/IP stack. To do this follow the next series of steps that I have set out below:

Step 1. Click the Start button
Step 2. In the search box, type "Command Prompt"
Step 3. Right click on command prompt

Step 4. Click on run as administrator
Step 5. Type "netsh winsock reset catalog" and press ENTER.
Step 6. Type 'netsh int ip reset reset.log' and press ENTER.
    Step 7. Restart your computer

Then, if none of the above works I would that try you to Update Windows Installer in Windows 8. I recommend that ensure you that all updates are completed.

Then, I would like that try you the next series of steps, I have outlined for you below:

Step 1. Click the Start button
Step 2. In the search box, type "Windows Explorer"

Step 3. Click on Windows Explorer

Step 4. In the address at the top of the page bar try to distribute a video or download Google Chrome

Unfortunately, this model laptop has a Broadcom bluetooth device or a device of Atheros.

Try to install the Atheros driver first because it is more common.  If it isn't an Atheros card, Setup HP rejects the update indicating no match of material.

If this isn't Atheros, install the Broadcom bluetooth driver.

Here is the page of the driver for your laptop and Windows 7 64-bit.
