Restore files from a specific directory RMAN?

Is there a way to tell rman to restore the data from a specific directory files? RMAn files has been placed in the directory/app/u01/rman_bkup /. Currently, these files are now in/app/u02/rman_bkup.

You can categorize files based on the new location.

You can try to change the drive letter for your external hard drive and check if you are able to restore the backup. 1. open computer management by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-click computer management.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. 2. in the Navigation pane, click Disk Management. 3. right click on the partition or drive that you want to change and then click on change drive letter and paths. 4. to change a drive letter, click on edit, click on assign the following drive letter, click the letter you want to use and then click OK. • Restoring files from DVD back to Windows 7 Home Premium

How to restore files from DVD discs created as a return to the top on my computer?

To restore the files on your DVD drive, you can simply insert the disc into your DVD drive and copy files directly to the desired location on your computer.

If you have created the DVD disc is a recovery disk (a disk you can use to restore Windows when Windows does not work properly), you can consult the following Web page to understand how to use it:

  • In any case to restore files from a backup .inp to reformat?

OK, so recently I had to reformat my Windows 8 Pro ultrabook. I tried to update the operating system, reinstall the OS before that I had to format and restore from a previous restore point. Unfortunately, none of the above methods worked as I couldn't get past a never-ending startup screen or a blue screen error. When I tried to reinstall the operating system he saved all my files from the user to an external hard disk in a .inp file format. It also creates a file migr.xml and include.xml to this folder location. After crossing the include.xml file in a text editor, I saw all my files that were lost were in the .inp archives. Is there anyway to recover these files?

I know that it is about a year too late, but if anyone runs into this problem (like me) there is a simple solution. Go to the dell Web site:

    www.Dell.com/.../en

and download the MigRestore software, this will allow you to recover the INP.files in your backup folder. Dell Backup and Restore software will not recover the files that contain files in XML document which is a major flaw of course.

I spend hours looking for the solution, so I hope that this will save someone some time.

    Kind regards

    TK

  • Restoring files from Windows XP (.bkf) in Windows 7

I had a complete computer failure and replaced my laptop with a new one running Windows 7. I need to restore all my files from backups made on Windows XP (.bkf files). This doesn't seem to be possible in Windows 7. I saw a few proposals for solutions that involve the restoration of a machine running XP and then transfer the files, but I don't have a second machine to do this. How can I access backed up files?

And if it does not, you can wait until Microsoft releases the NTBackup Restore Utility for Windows 7 (as they did for Windows Vista). Check out this thread.

  • get files from a specific folder for adding a pdf file

    Hello

How can I get a file in a specific folder for adding a pdf file?

You don't need to get the files in the folder B, if you know what is the path of the folder B, and what are the names of files...

To process several files, you use an Action in Acrobat Pro. They have to run the following JS code (assuming that this file B is actually C:\Temp\B\):

    var folderBPath = "/ c/temp/b /;

    this.insertPages ({cPath: folderBPath + this.documentFileName});

Then add a Save command, and you're done.

  • After trying to synchronize with my laptop and failure, I've restored files from a backup and make me "this connection is Untrusted" I have not found a solution.

I uninstalled Firefox 40, deleted the profiles folder, reinstalled Firefox, restored Firefox 40 and profiles from a backup and I still get this message. I even downgraded to a previous version and restored the profiles for this version and still this nasty error pops up on everything I try to do. I can't find any info on where are stored other files of files I'm not restore or change which still linger. I've never seen anything like this. That's after spending 3 weeks completely updated and change Firefox according to my needs and dumping Chrome, that's what I get. It seems I have to go back to chrome that I need a browser that works. I tried everything I can find this issue nothing works. I am really upset over this especially after that spent all the time from Chrome to Firefox. I really need an answer or I'll have to remove Firefox and return to Chrome, as much as I hate to do this. It still works!
Someone has an answer for this? Is their draw at Mozilla to help with this? Help!

Sorry for the delay in answering your question.

Another possible reason for "sec_error_untrusted_issuer" If Firefox is not configured to trust your security software, such as Avast, BitDefender, ESET or Kaspersky. If you use one of these popular products, reinstall your product can take care of the problem, or some manual adjustments may be necessary. If you use one of these, please mention which for more specific suggestions.

  • Restore database from a specific location

    Hello

    I'm on 11.2.0.3 on Windows 2008.

I have a backup of my database of production on the network drive and I need to use this backup to construct my test database. To build the database of test, I copied the backup to network drive on my local drive on the test server and then restored the controlfile. After that, I catalogued the backup to local drive.

Now, RMAN can recognize the backup on the network location (as controlfile has all the information of all backups) and also local backup. If I try to restore, it goes on the network to get to restore backupset. Is there a way I can ask RMAN to use my local backup rather than go on the network for the elements of the network drive backup?

I know there is a "uncatalog" option available, that should be used for each backup piece and so tedious.

    (1) can I force RMAN to use my local backup only without going to the network drive for the archives?

    (2) at - it order to complete wipe all backups in a swoop of the repository so that I can catalog only local backups before I run the restore command?

    SAQ

    Yes, that's what I did.

I should end this question by concluding that there is not available for the following commands

    (1) cannot specify backup location in the RESTORE command to mention a specific return, if there are several backups available.

    (2) there is no single command to remove all items from backup to a single backup set, from the RMAN Repository
