Restore saved deteled sync password password

to my close acquaintance that I deliberately remove password sync on my PC, so now on my laptop also disappeared. Fortunately, I have a backup firefox portable and hoping to restore previous saved the password.
But every time I started a backup firefox portable it start sync and my password instantly saved missing (deleted).
It does what it suppose to do, no error. But what I want is to restore my password saved from a backup, replace the password removed in the synchronization server. And finally my password are available in sync server.

Please advice.

Kind regards.

Sorry, Firefox does not an AutoSave locally for passwords, only bookmarks.

I would like to restore my passwords saved (only the passwords, any profile) to my laptop. Available, I have only a backup of my previous C: drive.

    Claudia,
    You must do the following:

    • Locate the backup of your previous profile. See https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles#How_to_find_your_profile - you will need to manually adjust the location of your backup, and shortcuts like %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto do not work (on Vista/7, %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto is defined as \AppData\Roaming C:\Users\username)
    • Locate your new profile. See above, but here you can use the help-> troubleshooting information button
    • Copy the following files from the old profile to the new profile with Firefox closed: signons3.txt, signons.sqlite

  • After installation, bookmarks import/restore will require the password from the previous version

I tried to set the master password yet appeared that submit or accept was grey and there was no focus confirmation. No PC to use for more than a week (out of the city for the funeral) was subsequently returned to find now need a master and had no idea that I had used the day I tried to settle this. I've saved my favorites and now wonder if I install a new version if those import requires the password that I don't know.

I suggest that the master password must confirm that it has been set. I had 'cancelled' on this screen so assumed, no password has been in place. Hard lesson to find out if I have to reset and lose all the passwords.

First of all, ALWAYS save your passwords safe, just for this reason.
As for the master, this effects only password manager. The other
managers should not be carried out.

  • Is it possible to restore without losing my passwords, settings and especially favorite?

Recently, my computer has been infected with a malware that has removed some DLLs and damaged the Firefox, Opera and Google programs.

The other two browsers I reinstalled without any problem. But Firefox is my main browser and I'm afraid of losing all my information.

Is it possible to restore without losing my passwords, settings and especially favorite?

You can check if the Firefox profile folder is always present.

If that's the case then Firefox will automatically detect its presence and use.

You should regularly make a backup of your personal data stored in the Firefox profile folder in order to avoid a potential loss in case of problems.

  • I backed up and restored Firefox but my passwords will not restore

I followed the instructions on how to back up and restore my Firefox profile (that I had to do after a full restore of the system), however, my passwords have not been restored. My Favorites are all here, but the "Saved passwords" box is completely empty. Is there a way I can restore?

Try creating a new profile as a test to check whether your profile is the source of the problem.
Copy the logins.json and signons3.txt in this profile to see if it works.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

I have backed up our hard drive on IDrive, replaced the failed hard drive, but I cannot reinstall my user name registered and saved passwords from saved files. • No Firefox for Android of Firefox desktop sync passwords?

I do understand that my Firefox for Android is able to get the passwords stored in Firefox desktop.

I configured on both sync and works correctly for the tabs and bookmarks.

Passwords, I don't know: I don't seem to be able to access those that are stored on my laptop to mobile.

Here are a few reasons why passwords are not synchronized.

    • Using the functionality of master password on Firefox for Android. If you don't know what it is you using it. If you are fairly long disable for Firefox for Android to sync once, and then re - activate the password.
    • Site is to save the password for you by using cookies. The remember check me box on the login page of many sites. Firefox Sync will not sync cookies.
    • The site has another mobile page. www.Facebook.com is another touch.facebook.com site Firefox will not share a password for a site on a different subdomain, because there is no guarantee that they are both managed by the same company.
  • Satellite C660-15r - restore Windows 7 without password

I bought Toshiba Satellite C660-15r off someone, but the problem is that there is a password at startup upward.
It's very well because I was about to restore it somehow but when I go to the restoration of windows you need a password to access.

Is it possible to reinstall windows with using windows restore. I really hope that someone can help you.

    My advice is to follow:
When you buy used laptop install OS again to have the own operating system preinstalled. Use the Toshiba recovery image, if possible.
Just a question: do you mean password BIOS or Windows login password?

If the previous user has put a password, you need and without that password, you can do nothing.
If the pre-installed OS is locked with password login, you can install OS using recovery DVDs and you don't need any password for it. I just hope that the previous owner has created this recovery DVDs.
