restoring backups

Before I reinstalled factory settings we asked me to make the backup disks that I made, 3 dvd, so how can I use these to restore files. Continues to ask me to usb or external hard drive, but not DVDs?

Have you tried to create a set of recovery disks or fact you backup data from your computer in 3 DVDs?

If you have backed up your data then follow the link below,

  • How to recover data after restoring backup

How can I recover my data (between 16 Feb to Apr 16) after I restored (backup-jan'16) wrongly?

You have a backup of a date later than the 16 Jan that may have data between Feb and Apr?

If so, restore that backup. What is an iTunes backup or a backup to iCloud?

  • How do I restore the backup from iPad Mini if the button "restore backup...". "is grayed out?

    Hello

Yesterday, I tried to downgrade my iPad Mini 2 (128 GB) of 9.3 to 9.2 of iOS in DFU mode. Before that, I backed up my iPad in iTunes. After decommissioning, apparently all of my 3rd party apps have been wiped out, and that left me with a huge 'other' part of the use of the iPad. So I decided to reset the iPad and erase everything. I noticed that after the reset, the iOS returned to 9.2.1.

When I plugged the iPad to my computer later, and tried to restore the backup, I got the message "the backup cannot be restored for iPad because the software is too old". In addition, in the iTunes iPad summary page, the button "restore backup... "is grayed out.

I guess it's because I backed up my iPad to iOS 9.3, and now it's 9.2.1. But y at - it another way to restore backup of iTunes? Or do I have to update to 9.3 first? iOS 9.3 is currently unavailable (last week it was, however).

    Thank you!

You cannot restore a more recent iOS backup on a device that has an older iOS. You have saved when running iOS 9.3 and your device is now in 9.2.1. You must update the device until backup, you can ise. Unfortunately, as you know, the update is no longer available. Apple shoot because there were significant problems.

  • Cannot install KB974674 (restoring backups made on Windows XP on computers running Windows 7)

I tried to install KB974674 (restore backups in Windows XP on computers running Windows 7) on my laptop with Windows 7 starter (in Dutch), then a pop up shows saying there is an error, unspecified, 0x80004005. I just want to put the backup I did on my XP computer files (the backup contains files with the extension .dat), with windows on my new laptop backup and the backup on my external hard drive does not appear in the backup of windows on my laptop. I thought that this update would help me.

The real solution is to use Windows Easy Transfer.

  • Im trying to go to a backup Win 7, but unable to restore backup files

Im trying to restore the backup files to a backup Win 7, but it deosnt let me do

You are this announcement in an XP forum, so I'm assuming that you try to restore the files on a XP computer?

Backup format changed between Windows XP and Windows 7.  Windows is a utility that will restore backups of Windows XP on a Windows 7 computer...
but to my knowledge, there is no use to restore a backup of Windows 7 on a XP machine.
Better to restore the files on another Win 7 machine and then copy or otherwise transfer on your computer running Windows XP.

  • can not find restored files after restoring backup hard drive

I had a problem with my computer so I reset my PC back to factory setting. Before doing anything, I backed up all my documents/pictures in an external hard drive.

After successfully resetting my PC to factory setting, I ran restore backup files... I took me 4 hours to restore. Restore files has been a success.

When I restart my PC, I couldn't find anything my back upwards. I don't know that there have been restored as I have only 50 G to 200G left of my C drive.

I tried to look for documents, but I can't find anything.

What happened to all my backup files?

    Hi dnt711,

Many users corrected this problem by correcting disk errors. We recommend you to check all the readers to find errors. To do this, try the following steps.
    1. open the computer by clicking the Start button, click computer.
    2. click on each drive to check and then click Properties.
    3. click on the Tools tab and then, under check for errors, click Find now.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will be a problem, but not to fix them.
To perform a thorough check, select search and attempt to recover bad sectors. This analysis tries to find and repair physical errors on the disk itself, and it may take much longer to complete.
To check for errors file and the physical errors, select both automatically fix errors in file system and search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
    4. click on start.
5 after the audit of records mistakes, try to restore backup and check the result.

See Check a drive for errors

    I hope this helps.

This problem is caused by a 3rd party shell extension. To identify the incriminated extension, use ShellExView.

"When you click on"Set up backup"or click on"Change settings"in Windows 7 backup and restore, nothing happens or open the System32 folder."

  • Restore backup Rman last week

    Hi guys

I need to restore the rman backup last week of... We do not catalog database.

I need to restore it on the same machine with a different mount point of...

I know that I can use the option tag especially last restore backup week, but its restoration of production so thought if someone can give me a list of the steps I have to follow... anyone who has done this before.

do I have to fire at the end as his incomplete recovery resetlogs... I need backup last Saturday... don't want to backup Monday on top of it.

    Please help me in this.

    Concerning

No logseq isn't the tag number. It's the redo log sequence number.

You can get the sequence of logs by using the following query:
    Select SEQUENCE #, FIRST_CHANGE #, to_char (first_time, 'dd-MON-yyy hh24:mi:ss') of v$ log_history;

This will give you the name & time log has been generated. So, you will be able to find the newspapers at the time up to which you want to restore.

  • iPhone restore backup encryption bug in iTunes

First the details of my system:

    El Capitan 10.11.6

    iPhone iOS 6 10.0.2

    iTunes 12.5.1.21

    Steps to reproduce:

1 backup the by using the encrypted password (current running iOS 10) iPhone

    2. once the backup is complete change password encrypted from A to B

    3. restore the iPhone using the backup.

The backup cannot be restored with A password or password B.

I think that most people would say I forgot the password B. You would be a mistake. Password B was stored in my keychain and it wouldn't work. To check that I had the correct password, I downloaded a password free utility cracking. For some reason, these utilities are available for Windows only. I used the utility of tenorshare. Since I was sure I knew the password, I used boxes of prefix and suffix of the utility to verify that the password is correct. The utility shows you only the first 2 characters of your password once he finds her. Since I am sure that I knew the password, I put the first 7 characters of the password in the prefix box password and he assumes that the last of them (which I knew that). Then I put the first 6 characters of the password in the prefix area of password and the last character in the zone suffix and guess the second to the last character (which I knew that too). In both cases, he finds the password, which confirmed that all my characters were correct, but iTunes would not accept. At this point, I was convinced this is an Apple bug, so I googled some more and found this blog https://deciphertools.com/blog/ios-10-backup-password-incorrect/ which confirms:

"If you recently changed your password backup in iTunes, and iTunes is now reports that 'the password was incorrect' when you try to restore this backup, then we may be able to help."

There is a small problem affecting backups iOS 10 - sometimes changing password causes backup the password being rejected (both new and old passwords) when you try to use the backup that you did. »

I was able to solve my problem of password associated with the procedure.

My backup was too important to wait for a solution possible iTunes. Apple should recognize this problem and have a fix as soon as POSSIBLE.
