"Revaluation" of Windows 8 for Windows 7 Pro, install will not accomplish

It is a new model 2000 provided with 8 is installed.  I have a personal copy of Pro 7 that I tried to install by following the procedure described here:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03736054

The system got only so far and sat there for three hours, until I stopped him. I tried to start in fact safe, and take up the extent of the CLASSPNP. SYS and stop.  What are my options, other hammer 8 book sitting next to my office?

I got it works after you have defined the function of BIOS software. It would have been nice if that had never been mentioned somewhere.

Most of the older machines running XP are not compatible with the help of Windows 8.

Follow these steps before you install Windows 8.

Go to your laptop manufacturer's website and check if Windows 8 drivers are available for your make and model laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 8 does not work for you.

Download and run the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant of to see if your machine is compatible Windows 8:

  • Windows xp pro sp3 will not start corrupted boot.ini and hal.dll - please help

I installed Norton 360 offred via internet was last updated.  It immediately launched all applications previously disabled at STARTUP in msconfig.  And shortly after he started to gives me the blue screen "to the death".  This done in two days, and I was desperately trying to solve the problem by turning off almost all applications critical to running Windows XP Pro SP3, Norton and Office 2007 Home and student.  I even went and tried to edit the Boot.ini file in startup and recovery under the Advanced tab in the workstation properties.  Now all I get is an error message Windows cannot start because the hal.dll file is missing or damaged.  I replaced it by copying a modified version of the boot sequence, while the hard drive of my laptop was enslaved to my desktp PC, but nothing helped.  I can't even the Recovery Console to start on my laptop.  I need HELP, please.

These profile errors are usually caused by one of the following:

1-profile corruption.  The user profile is damaged and that Windows cannot load.  To resolve this issue, create a new user profile and move your files to the new profile.   See here for more information:

How to copy data from a corrupted to a new profile in Windows XP user profile

2 drives or corruption of the file system.  Run chkdks /f on the volume C:.  Please note that there is ALWAYS a risk of data loss when chkdsk is run on a volume, ideally, you should have a backup of your files before running chkdsk.

3 - virus or malware activity.  Some of these parasites can revoke your permissions on the folder of your profile, check the permissions on "C:\Documents and Settings\Andre" and make sure you have a full control on the folder.  Check this box until you try #1 or 2 above.

Some of these parasites can also revoke your permissions in key areas of the registry and create real Dany on the machine that can prevent you to run some of your software.  Use Regedit to load your old profile hive (NTUSER. (DAT) in your profile folder (C:\Documents and Settings\Andre\NTUSER. (DAT) and make sure you have full control over the key.  In the advanced security settings to ensure that the child objects are inherit permissions from the parent and put a check mark on "replace entries permissions for all child objects...". "Click on apply and OK your way out.  See here for easy to follow instructions for loading and editing of remote registry hives: http://www.rwin.ch/xp-live/regedit.htm make sure you unload the hive when you're done, otherwise the changes will not be saved.

These parasites can also revoke permission on the other key of registry and system files, you can use SubInACL to restore your permissions on these key objects, see here for more information:

  • Windows 7 (pro?) will not be connected to the non - Internet

Summary: We do a workshop where we have set up a private network that is not connected to the Internet. We have a fleet of laptops (11 of them) that connect through an open wifi router. The router provides DHCP, and there is also a web server and database on the network server.

We have laptops with Windows XP and Linux, as well as the Chromebook and Macs. Connect regularly and reliably. However, we had three different Windows 7 laptops of three completely different companies with the same problem. They will connect at first, but then get into a never-ending display of 'limited internet access' cycle, disconnection and reconnection.

All three of these laptops work very well on all other wireless networks. One of the laptops is Win7 Ultimate 64-bit (not sure the others). Now, this laptop used to work perfectly, but still has this problem. Some other Windows 7 laptops have worked in the past.

Computers portable Win7 will connect and work very well with a wired connection.

Then... It is not a problem with the router or the network, since any computer non-Win7 laptop works perfectly. The router is started fees at each workshop, and the problem persists, but * only * on some Windows 7 laptops.

It is probably not a problem of drivers or virus, given that laptops work fine on other networks.

We tried to adjust our network "Preferred" and "Connect automatically" in Win7 - no joy.

Windows 7 has a certain logic that causes the disconnection of a wireless network if he does not have an Internet connection?

  • After recommending the bios update, hp dv6131od running xp pro sp3 will not load windows - is there a wa

After installing an update of the bios recommended on the hp website my dv6131od running xp pro sp3 will not load windows

Update does not seem to have problems - failure, lack of time for flash, backup, etc.

boot sequence seems normal (finds it a bootable cd in the drive, etc.), but windows won't load in safe or other mode

next steps?  is there a way to access the BIOS?

    Thank you

There is a simple solution to this problem.  The HP Online Crash Analysis Team has finally responded to my email after 34 days.  I had given up hearing from them despite several requests to repeat.

I had completely disassembled the laptop trying to find the bios setting the jumpers on the motherboard in response to an idea contained in one of the PM, I sent... all to nothing does not...

OCAT told me to look in the BIOS under "system configuration" for the Native SATA support.  The last update of the BIOS resets this point 'activated', but that only works for Vista & Win 7.  This must be set to "disabled" for XP and previous operating system.

I hope that this post will save someone having to wait 5 weeks invest hours of work for a solution that took 3 minutes!

    Hello

Choose your version of bits (32-bit or 64-bit) on the link:

Download the correct ISO file and make your own drive and use the product key located on the COA sticker.

And Neosmart has instructions on how to burn ISO disk images using imgburn:

    http://NeoSmart.NET/wiki/Burning-ISO-images-with-ImgBurn/

The COA sticker is either on the underside of the laptop or in the battery compartment (you did already).

By using the downloaded ISO file method can require the Activation of phone.

  • Can Windows 7 Pro install on Windows 8?

Recently bought a new Dell computer.  To Windows 7 Pro installed but I was told that they cannot sell new units with Windows 8 is installed.  I understand that Windows 8 has no XP compatibility feature which has Windows 7 Pro.  If I install Windows 7 Pro on Windows 8?

You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

I have the version upgrade of Windows 8 Pro and can not install Media Center.

I signed up for a key that was sent to me and past the initial check whenever I try to install it.

I check the checkbox for the conditions once the key is successfully verified.

I then get the bar of green progression for the verification of updates and after about 30 seconds, I get the error message 'something went wrong '.

    Hello

This is how I solved this problem.
I have notised that a file with the name ehome. has been "created" in the windows folder.
This seems to block the creation of the eHome folder, where the Media Center should install.
Remove the ehome. file, create the eHome directory and try again to install the Media Center.
Worked for me on two different PCs.
