Possible tweak to the time remap KeyFrame spacing?

I do a lot of time remap keyframe tweaking in AE, so I tend to zoom in the timeline.

Is there a way to reduce the spacing between frames? Then, I'll be able to display more images on the screen. Thank you!

Nope.

  • Reverse the time remapping effect?

Hi, I have a membership with the time-remapping applied via an expression and a skeleton key slider controlling the speed of reading of percentage.

Inside of the time remapped composition there is an effect property I want to be done by the time remapping. Is it possible to somehow invert the time remapping effect so that it appears unchanged in the composition of parent?

    I think I'm close, but I still can't understand:

    -Hand Comp, example time: 0:00:14:18

-Comp time to parents: 0:00:14:20, remapped to time right now (maybe before and after by a few images)

-Nested Comp expression of effect property:

    var time = counteractTimeDisplacement - (((comp("__Main_Comp__").layer ("FrameDifference") .timeRemap - 1)));

    etcEtcEffectPropertyValue = somethingReferenced.valueAtTime (counteractTimeDisplacement);

-FrameDifference Composition (simply shows the weft of the difference in time)

Remapped time: 0:00:01:02 / / added 1 second to allow negative values, when the time remapping effect is less, perhaps that should not be a timeRemap property, but I don't know how to use time on an object. null values

    -Expression of remapping the colors:

    ()comp("Main_Comp").layer ("Parent comp') .timeRemap - time) + 1

Above doesn't work and seems out of step. I realized the FrameDifference composition is also indirectly done by the time remapping effect because the nested composition can access it and its remapped, so I tried for the composition of FrameDifference :

    -Composition FrameDifference

    -Expression of remapping the colors:

(comp("Main").layer ("Parent model") .timeRemap .valueAtTime (comp("Main_Comp").layer ("Parent comp') .timeRemap) - .timeRemap comp("Main_Comp").layer ("Parent model")) + 1

Its still not sync, can someone who understands the remapping / time better than me please help I can't see where im going wrong. Yet once I can't get out of the effect inside the remapped comp and use separately as this will cause other problems.

    Thanks for reading

You make it too difficult. If you have a layer or element that you do not want be affixed by the time remapping effect then put this element in comp. Another thing is just a waste of time.

Change the speed of reading over time can be very complicated. The best way to understand what you do is look to the graphics editor. You need a much more complex expression in order to speed up and slow down playback without taking the time reverse. Please see motionipt.com where Dan Ebberts can show you how to make the ramp upward and boat speed reading thing.

  • A clip I made the time-remapping on the shortening.

Okay, so, I'm still very much a first baby and this is the first time I tried to play with time-remapping. First of all, I'm on a PC using first Pro CC 2014.2.

Basically what I've done is created a cube rotating '3d '. I want to do with it is to rotate quickly, then slow down so that it is possible to read what is written on it. I got successful and ramp at the speed of the way I had hoped.

However! The clip is really long (I wanted to make sure that I gave myself enough time to play with because I wanted to speed up a bit), then I tried to shorten the clip... but when I do that, anything after the ramp becomes black. The first second or two before the ramp is always visible and spinning, hit the ramp and blackens. I tried just to drag the ends of the clamp as using the razor tool. The razor tool allows me to snap, but when I delete the excess part it always disappears.

Here is a screenshot just after using the razor tool.

And it disappears when I delete the excess part.

I have a feeling that he might have something to do with the first who need to be able to 'see' what's coming or something, and by removing the excess it is unclear what more can be done. But I wanted to ask and see if there was a way to shorten, if not I'll just throw something above the rest of the clip so that you can not see it always go to go back and continue on my way.

I just had a quick glance and I don't see what is happening. The easiest option is to export the master as an intermediate file without loss and change. When you make the time remapping effect, I always send to AFX and use the efx superior Timewarp, it has its own quirks but it does a better job.

  • Motion/opacity (yet) does not when you use the time remapping effect

OK: Here's my meat. This bug has been around for CS3 and CS4. I was hoping this would be fixed with the arrival of CS5, but apparently it still has not been resolved.

If you use the time remapping effect in the body, you can not use the other features of keyframing, such as movement or opacity. If you do, the video simply disappears. Rendering will not help either. The only way to get the opacity of the function is to overlay a video black bar on the top of the element (or any other cache of color if you like fantasy) and have the opacity on this clip in reverse work. How to get movement in these clips remapped time to work is still somewhat a mystery to me...

Has anyone found this tedious, boring/irritating?

So, when can dear Adobe, we expect a fix for this? If all goes well before CS6.

    Thank you very much.

    Richard

Yes, it's a real annoying bug.
Simple around - after work you time-remapping your clips, nest (control-click on the clip and select 'nest'), then you can change the opacity normally.

  • Is it possible to keep the timer "always on top"?

When you use the timer I like to keep the timer of disappearing from the screen saver, but I didn't understand how to do... If that's possible.  After the timer starts, he goes down to a few seconds and the clock face appears again.  To check the time remaining on the timer, you must click to the home screen and select new application timer... which, in few seconds again goes to the background and the face of the clock reappears, again he must open the clock app to see the remaining time.  If there is a way to keep the timer "on-top" without having to repeatedly touch the screen during execution of the timer, I have not discovered.  I would also add the timer to my eyes so I can toggle to him as well.  Of course, I can do it on my iPhone, but the Watch has not yet this ability.  Apple engineers could make sure with the timer and the timer if they see the need.  Are there others who want that ability as well?  I think so.

    Hello

It is not currently possible to add Timer looks. However, your watch can be configured for more convenient use of the application of the timer:

    • Set your watch to return to the last app used to raise your wrist:
      • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > General > wrist Detection - turn on.
      • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > General > screen Wake:
        • Raise the topic on the wrist, select RESUME last activity.

After you start a timer by opening the timer app, your watch will return to timer (for as long it remains the last app used) when you then lift your wrist.

    • Add a Timer to your dial of the watch as a complication. When you view the time on your watch:
      • Firmly press the display > drag left / right to the face of the watch you want to customize (not to slip if you want to customize the current face of the watch).
      • Press the Customize button.
      • Some watch faces offers more than one screen customization options > move left until you reach the last screen to select (if available) complications.
      • Tap a complication to customize what is shown in this place.
      • Turn the digital Crown to scroll through available there complications until you reach Timer.
      • Press the digital Crown, then press the dial to return.

To start the timer directly from your watch dial, press the complication. Once started, the remaining time will be then showed complication on your watch until the end of the timer dial, when the application opens for you to make them disappear.

  • Is it possible to change the timer increment?

The timer is changing in increments of 100 milliseconds. Is it possible to decrease it to 1 millisecond? For my application, I need to know when the waveform is a multiple of a number specified, for example, 7 millisecond. I have a Boolean indicator, and I would that he true to see the ot whenever the time is a multiple of this value.

Is is possible to change the timer for this increment? Or y at - it a better way to reach my goal?

Your problem of synchronization is the express VI simulate Signal.  You say it take value of 100ms of data.  So your loop will run through the 100ms.  If you want your loop to go to the 1ms (good luck with Windows), tell the express VI to collect only 1ms to a data value.  In your case, it would be 360 samples instead of 36 samples k.

  • Can't reposition the timeline for the time remapping effect

I use Premiere Elements on a PC running Windows 8.1. I am trying to apply the time remapping effect to a section of an element. I've marked the beginning and the end of the segment I want to remap with markers of the scene. Set the timeline so that the segment that I intend to remap appears on the screen. When I click on the time remapping effect control (Tools |) Redefinition of the time), the timeline moves to the end of the clip, and I can't reposition to display the part I want to without leaving the screen of time remapping. How to keep or move the timeline on the part I want?

When you select the option of time remapping in the tool button in the action bar, you should go to an any other workspace, one dedicated to the time remapping effect. You shouldn't see the chronology of regular edition.

You click to select a clip on the timeline, then you click on tools, then time-remapping. Opens in the workspace of time remapping.

Is this what is happening? It is not clear from your description.

You are actually clicking to select one (and only one) clip on the timeline, before selecting the time remap tool, right?

  • Is it possible to set the time zone in NLS_DATE_FORMAT?

    Hi all
Is it possible to set the time zone in NLS_DATE_FORMAT? If not, why?

    Best regards
    Valerie

    LON

NLS_DATE_FORMAT is only the output format, you cannot use it for the time zone but...

    ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE = '-4:0';
    ALTER SESSION SET NLS_DATE_FORMAT = 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS';
    SELECT SESSIONTIMEZONE, CURRENT_DATE FROM DUAL;

Keyframes for the timeremapping or fair outcomes?

  • Measure the time betw keyframes?

    Hi-

It is essentially a question to see if a function exists in AE 7.0/Mac.

I would like to know if there is an easy way to (non-arithmetique) to measure the number of frames between the 2 keyframes.

Can I select 2 keyframes on the same layer of the timeline and have AE just showed me the number of frames (or the amount of time) they are out?

    TIA an experienced response.

    JL

No, there is not such a function. If you need something like that, create an expression on a text layer, or use a script that measure these things. for expressions, he would use the time indicator to detect the nearest keyframe and a previous / next, whether he should really be coming from a precise selection, only scripts can offer that.

  • Countdown for Fileserv stops when you view the other tabs, resumed once returned to tab. Is it possible to make the timer to continue?

Hi, when I use Fileserv to download files, it has a countdown as many file hosting services. However if I go to view the other tabs while the timer is going, it gets paused until I go back to the tab and then it starts again.

For example, I download a file and the timer starts from 30 seconds to the 25 second mark, I discovered a different tab (say to check my email) and after about 40 seconds, or so, I come back to the Fileserv tab and it comes countdown to 25 seconds.

This has not happened before when I was on 3.6.

Is anyway to keep the timer goes? Like 30 seconds is valuable enough to check email or blog while I wait.

Maybe he continues to operate if you pull this tab and open in its own window.

  • Is it possible to set the time on a device in real time so that the time will persist when the device is not powered?

It seems that you can not set the time on a device sbRIO (9606) and have always the exact time when the card is powered after not being fed for a while.  I have a product which will be independent (not connected to a network) when it is supplied by the customer.  I would like to collect data in a datalog and would like to put a timestamp somewhere so that I can understand when these data were collected.  If I can't get an exact date/time, then the next best solution would be to set up my datalogs so that I can at least understand the exact order in which they were collected.  (I think I can understand it without much problem)    Any suggestions as to best practices?

    Hey John,

Without connected VBat time will not be preserved between periods of closure. Unfortunately for the 9605 and 9606 we have not a way to date the connector 9693 VBat.

How much sbRIOs you plan to deploy with your system?  9623 and 9626 have a compartment for the RTC. If you haven't bought your sbRIOs already you could focus on the options of the form always match.

If it is necessary to have retention time between stops, we would need to understand the extent of your application more.

  • Is it possible to accumulate the time saved?

What I'm trying to say, is if my son does not use the PC, one day, that there should be two times the time overnight?

    Hello ChristerJac,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum. I understand that you have requests within the time limits, that your son can use his computer, where he does not use it for a day with parental control activated.

The time that you provided in a day to a child account will not accumulate. Period of family safety affects the account of the child's day.

If you have other requests for information within the safety of the family, please let us know. We will be there to help.

    Thank you.
