RGB PDF color move when published online

Hello everyone, this if my first post a question online like this. I would be grateful any advice!

I created a document in InDesign, which is intended to be uploaded/published for viewing online. A lot of colors and transparency effects applied throughout. I took care to use RGB images and use the Document RGB transparency merger space since the intention for online publication.

I played with the settings of PDF export over time and get good results with one exception. When the client downloads the final PDF (which correctly sees on the screen)... While it is open in the viewer online, some unwanted color changes are occurring on all pages where a color photo of reform took a transparency (in particular the 'brightness' effect) effect applied to it. Shadows are not a problem... not all the effects seem to provoke the question, but the brightness and I think that multiply and probably a few others along these lines, cause the color change.

The client has done a workaround to solve the problem by taking the problematic PDF pages, their opening in Photoshop, save in JPEG format (i.e. the page Flattening), then import these JPEG files into an INDD file and re - export to PDF.  So, it seems that the flattening of the image is at stake.

I looked online and tried to do some research to see if I can take care of flattening, etc. on my end if the client does not... but I'm not find definitive answers. I think my main questions are:

1. can I export a PDF RGB flattened directly from InDesign

OR

2. can I I tweak/flatten my PDF in Acrobat Pro before sending it to the client?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can point me in the right direction. I am generally able to understand these things on my own, but this one gives me the penalty.

You can flatten on export by changing the compatibility Acrobat 4 setting, but it is probably better to do it in Acrobat Pro using the PDF Optimization tool.

OK to solve the problem of the missing modes when published online.

    You must follow these steps.

    Go to the window,

Scroll to exit, and then select the Flattener Preview,

    Opens the Flattener Preview Panel.

In this Panel, you will see a drop-down list called climax.

In the menu drop-down select transparent Options.

This will activate all other fields in the Panel.

In the presets select your resolution,

Now click on apply print settings.

Now you can export your file to PDF. I exported to PDF (Print), I don't know if it will work (Interactive) PDF format.

In the menu, Export PDF, don't forget to click on publish it online at the bottom of the general Menu.

  • Publish online: download a PDF removes hyperlinks

When I download a PDF version, after the online publication, all hyperlinks are removed. Can it be fixed or is there a workaround for the PDF download version?

When the PDF file is made for a document to be published online, you have the option to choose a PDF preset. None of the default PDF print presets turn into hyperlinks. Create a custom PDF preset with this option enabled, and choose when you are in the dialog box publish online.

  • Color variation when you import a PDF file with transparency masks

Hi, I have a CC PDF Illustrator with multiple pages and multiple spot colors defined by the user and on some pages of an element containing the mask transparency.

The problem with color deviation between the pages with and without the object that contains the tx masks as they are imported into InDesign.

Looking at the page in InDesign with the described object, color chart, imported from Illustrator no longer correspond to any PDF file.

Without the mask tx, correspond to the Illustrator PDF color chart color placed in the shade in InDesign.

    What is going on?

Unlike Illustrator, InDesign can support RGB and CMYK colors in the same document. If InDesign won't change the colors of your Illustrator object placed as long as there is no transparency on the spread.

When transparency is applied to the spread, all objects have to 'mix' by using the same color space. I think that this is necessary if the transparency must be flattened as it should be for many printers. InDesign uses the color set under Edition space > space of merger of transparency to determine the color space. By default, it is a print CMYK document.

  • Is it possible to move the button publish online?

< a bit cranky person who had no coffee yet >

Is it possible to move the button to publish online? It is just about things there that I use often and when I'm in a hurry and my cursor exceeds their I have to wait for this massive box to publish online (Preview) to disappear. I don't want to publish online. I don't want to listen to extracts or learn more. I'll probably NEVER click on this button. I would not lose so much time waiting for this stupid expires box.

  • Windows Movie Maker-legends are incomplete when published in the final movie

My captions are incomplete when published in the final movie... :(

    Hello everyone.

I use Windows Movie Maker to create a photo slideshow set to music. In addition, each photo has a caption.

    Here's my problem:

Some photo captions are messy when I publish the movie. For example, "TCS 1999" shows as "SDC 199" in the published version, even if "SDC 2000" remains the same in the published version. " Not every picture is affected, but it is irritating.

I would appreciate anyone's insight into this matter.

    Thank you! :)

  • Role of the Editor cannot crush PDF when publishing the computer

I'm an admin on a site with the role of an affected Editor, using 3 of contributes. When Publisher wants to update an existing PDF, Contribute did not give him the opportunity to replace the existing file, automatically place the addition as "filename_000.pdf". When I publish my computer as the admin of the site, I get an option to replace or rename, and the crash is successful. I have connected by using the Publisher connection key and have duplicated its problem - simply, it does not give the possibility to overwrite.

In the administrative tools I made sure the Publisher role can change all the files and can publish to all directories. I FTP'd directly to check the permissions and ownership of file and everything is as it should be.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

    Thank you very much

    -Rita

    Quick to check two things:

The key, the Publisher has rights to delete files? If this is not the case, this must be enabled.

If you are using contribute 3.0 (NOT CS3), there is an update from Adobe which will be downloaded and installed. It can be found at http://www.adobe.com/support/contribute/downloads.html.

    Good luck.

  • Publish online Table of contents does not

I have published two documents printed with the publication online (InDesign 2015). Everything works well except the table of interactive contents (which works fine when I export to PDF).

The table of contents in the online version gives an error when you click on the entries.

Is this a bug or I do something wrong?

    Hi Melissa,

Please make sure that during the creation of OCD, 'Make text anchor in paragraph source' is checked in the Table of contents dialog box. This option is necessarily be checked when creating the TOC to make OCD clickable links in EPUB documents and publish online.

And for the hyperlink to page iv, it seems that you have an empty frame on an entire page that is above that block of text in the click event handler then not sent to hyperlink hyperlink. In the case of text hyperlinks make sure there are no objects that overlap on.

    Thank you

• Hide sharing options and Embed in ID publish online

I am trying to download a document to help publish online and I REALLY need to be able to turn off sharing and integration options (something Adobe claim is possible on this help page: using publish Online to publish your InDesign documents), but I can't find this option anywhere in the dialog box publish online...

I expect him to be here, under the 'allow viewers to download the document in PDF (Print)' option:

    Screen Shot 2016-07-15 at 10.28.48.png

As far as I can see that it is also not on the Advanced tab.

Does anyone know if this is a feature that has been removed? Or if I'm going to be really dense and looking in the wrong place? (Probably the last..)

Any help on this would be so appreciated!

    Thank you!

Of course, it is included, but your looks very old screenshot, update your version.

  • Disable embed and share to publish online?

To "use publication Online (Preview) to publish your InDesign documents" page implies that, in the general menu to publish online, you can: "hide the share and embed options in the published document. '" Select this option if you do not want the document viewers to see the share or embed buttons on your published document. "I do not see these choices, just one for disable download in PDF format. Am I missing something?

Yes, this feature has been added in InDesign CC 2015.3, released March 2016.

  • How to make my table of contents interactive to publish online?

I have produced a Table of contents for my document in InDesign and checked the box 'Add the page anchor' in the options. But when I export to publish online, the table of contents are not linked to pages in the document.

Then, I tried to make the page numbers in table of contents converted into hyperlinks leading to page numbers, but that no longer works.

What I'm missing here? Looks like I should be able to do this easily, but... Thanks for the hints!

    Hi Christy,

During the generation of the TOC, check "Make text anchor in paragraph Source" in the dialog Table of contents the table of contents clickable links in the document to publish online.
