RGS with router

Hello!

Workstation is located behind the router, where is the internal network. Everything works very well in this internal net. But when the workstation mobile (in this case, it is also the license server) is outside the network, problems come out. Property in the router port forwarding so far is tried (btw, it works for Windows Remote Desktop Connection). I tried the 42699 default port number found in the manual ("The Sender RGS listens on port TCP/IP default 42966"). The router, however, wants two definitions of the port ('public', 'private', the router is D - Link DIR-615). Can I use the same number for both fields? And should I run my connection to the public address of the router? What is the trick for the connection to the workstation for some behind the router?

And the other way: How can I get my tool to read the license of the mobile workstation license server?

ARO

Aki

Problem solved. The transfer of port works, the first test I did was not properly in the router is.

  • Satellite Pro A10 - Wifi problem with router ZyXEL

    Hello

I recently acquired a Satellite Pro A10 (PSA15E - 0115Q - EN) off the coast of the friend. It doesn't have a wireless card installed, but I managed to take of a Lucent MPC13A-20 that was installed without any problem, and it is recognized as a Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card. However, despite the computer being able to read my neighbors wifi (next door and in the apartment on the floor), he refuses to acknowledge my router, even if I'm in the same room. My router is a ZyXEL P-660HW-T1 v2 which works very well (I tested it with another laptop).

    Can someone please help!

    Thanks in advance,
    Fred

    Hello!

Make sure your router is using a WiFi standard that supports your card. If you use 802.11n you should drop down to 802.11 g for the tests.

In addition, you should check the channel of your wireless network card. It should be the same as the router.

  • Unable to connect with router wifi - Satellite L555-110

    Hello

    I use the following configuration:

    Satellite L555-110
    Modell Nr.: PSLW8E-01E00NGR
Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium (with all updates)

I bought this Book 3 weeks ago.

My laptop won't connect to my WiFi router. I use the drivers provided by Windows Update.
I also tested the following Realtek drivers:

    RTL8191_8192_SE_WindowsDriver_2007.1.1002.2009.F00 62.P0525_ISS_1.00.0130.L

The connection still does not work.

I always think that there must be a driver problem, because with another book, the wireless connection works fine.
I can't find any solution, it's the readers makes me crazy.

Is there advice, or is this still the problem of driver windows 7?

    Thanks for your help

    nofact

Each laptop comes with preinstalled OS. You can use 32 or 64 bit OS (recovery Toshiba original image). Recovery image contains Toshiba driver WLAN tested and functional.

So my question is: have you noticed some WIFI problems with this original configuration of Toshiba or later after Windows update?
Please check all of the updates before installing them and do not allow drivers to update.

  • Can satellite A500-17 X - I get full speed with router Linksys WRT120N WLan?

I want to buy a "Linksys WRT120N" for my A500 - 17 X wireless router, and my question is can I get full speed with this router as 100 Mbps or more.
I don't have as much knowledge on wireless routers and that is why I ask.

    And the other question is:
This router will give me good signal in my apartment of 60 m 2 from one room to another?

    Hello

I think your question should be posted in the forum of the manufacturer of the router and not here in the forum of Toshiba.

Anyway. It seems that the Wlan WRT120N router is certified for
    IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802. 11 b, IEEE 802. 11 g, Wi - Fi CERTIFIED, IEEE 802.11n (draft 2.0)

As you can see the supported WiFi standards: 802.11 B, G and N

For your laptop s Wlan card supports Draft N, you should be able to connect to 802.11 N.

  • very slow 5 GHz with router R7000

    Hello

I use the R7000 router at my house for some time. Since the beginning of the speed on the 5 GHz band has been very slow. First I thougt it might be a problem with my Iphone, but now I see that Iphone, Ipad and my laptop have severe speed restrictions when you use the 5 g network. With the 2.4, I get download aof 8Mbit, with 5 g speeds no thant more than 1 Mhz.

Any suggestions? I always used the current firmware, but sees no difference. There is not other 5 GHz networks in the House (I've already checked).

    Thank you

    Christine

Others have had problems with channels 5 GHz with the version of the firmware you have, they seem to have luck in fact revert to the previous version, 1.0.4.28. You can get it here downloadcenter.netgear.com/en/product/R7000

A beta firmware is available, you can find the info here https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/R7000-firmware-v1-0-5-44-limited-release/m-p...

  • Unable to connect to a WLAN secure with router Satellite M30 and BT Voyager 2000

I just have everything reinstalled on my laptop Satellite M30 and cannot get my computer to connect to wireless internet as soon as I activate the shared WEP security. The laptop's wireless adapter is an Intel(r) pro/wireless LAN 2100 3B mini pci. I downloaded and installed the latest driver for the adapter (2006, version 1.2.4.41 ProSet version 7.1.4.7). My operating system is Windows XP.

I use BT broadband with a router of Voyager 2000. The wireless connection works perfectly on the PC using a USB BT 2100 wireless adapter. There is a connection internet insecurity very low, nearby which I can connect to with my laptop. I'm sure that will all receive first set the Internet with BT I was set the router via and the home page of the router and did not have to do anything to the wireless adapter.

Any help is very appreciated. I spent hours trying to solve this problem with absolutely no luck at all.

    Hello

    You see your wireless LAN?
Do you have MAC address filtering? or have you activated the firewall?
Clear all: WEP encryption, MAC address, filtering, firewall, etc...

Then, login to your WLan and check if it works.
If Yes, then it s your problem of setting and you have to carefully check what setting is incorrect.

(In my opinion, your encryption key is false)

  • Upgrade to modem cable with router?

I plan to upgrade my modem cable to take advantage of the increased speed that Comcast now offers in our region. I think my Airport Extreme of 2007 could be a brake on the increase in the speed of a new modem. I would like to know if it is better to buy a new modem cable with built-in wifi router.

My current Airport Extreme supports two iMacs (24 "in 2007 and a 27 '' 2010), two iPhones and iPad two minis. My current cable modem offers 34 mb/s download speeds and download about 6 MB/s.

I will be grateful for any advice... Thank you

I think my Airport Extreme of 2007 could be a brake on the increase in the speed of a new modem.

There are 2 different versions of AirPort Extreme offered in 2007... a 1st generation version and the 2nd generation.

The 1st generation version will manage an Internet connection speed of up to about 100 Mbps. The 2nd generation version will manage up to 350-400 Mbps.

If your new service provider will be 100 Mbit/s or lower, it is not really important what version you have. Either the version of AirPort Extreme will take care of this service.

If your new service will be 100 + Mbps, then you will have the Gen version 2nd of the airport to take advantage of the higher speeds.

IF you have the 1st generation AirPort Extreme... And... your new service will be well above 100 Mbps... THEN... it might be a good idea to take a look at a new modem/router.

HOWEVER... If your new service will be less than 100 Mbps... so you probably won't receive any improvement with a new modem/router and it would be wise to simply continue to use the airport until it fails.

So an important question here might be... what version of AirPort Extreme do you have?

Another important issue could be... your current modem will support the service high speed?

Open the AirPort on your Mac utility and you should be able to know which version of airport you have.  If you can provide the serial number and model of your modem, we will see if we can find out what he can do.

If you wondering if Comcast, you should know that the person you speak to will probably receive a bonus if you order a new modem or new modem/router...so you may not receive an unbiased opinion on their part.

Finally, there are a number of users who believe that, as a general rule that you need to replace a modem or a router in about 5 years... even if it doesn't work OK. So, you might get some interesting opinions together.

  • Office jet pro 8600 connect with router but not recognized on the network

I just installed new router e1200 lonksys. JO HP 8600 pro connects with the router, but the printer cannot see 8600. IP 169.254.223.37 on said install ip is the placeholder and printer not connected. have restarted once 1000 and tried to reconnect. New router has OMP and thrust of 3 seconds the button on the router. Also failed to connect on the router definition reviews

8600 worked fine on the old router. Problem started when I connected the router after that cable modem connected then modem vonage. Previous setting was cable - vonanage and wireless router - all worked well then.

Also downloaded 8600 new complete software after losing the Wi - Fi connection - please help!

If the Ethernet cable is plugged into the printer, it will disable the wireless radio.

If this is not the case in the network menu, network by default.  Then, in the same network menu, run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

If this does not work, we will come on your new router a bit.

  • Problem with router SPA2102 Battlefield 2?

I have problems with my Battlefield 2 (all versions). I have the SPA2102.

EDIT: The game freezes when I click to join a server, nothing happens.

I can play other games online.

When I try the demo version which im using this router, it does not work.

But when I try with the same laptop in other places it works completely fine.

I set up a static IP address and forwarded my ports to help

    http://www.PortForward.com/English/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/Spa-2102/Battlefield_2.htm

What else can I do to make it work?

I am running Vista 32 bit.

    Thank you in advance!

Basically the SPA2102 is not design to handle the heavy traffic. This unit is designed to route traffic for VOIP devices and not for game features.

  • I can't reach 1 Gbps internet with router ea6200

    Hello

updated to 1 Gbps internet from my ISP and I have a few problems getting the speed of 1000 Mbps. The speeds are now better than before, but they extend nearly 100 Mbps and come close even 500 Mbps.

I tried to download on a SSD computer with i7 processor.

I have disabled media prioritization. No fix for my router to work faster?

Yes, your ISP server will provide the best test of speed and that's normal.

You mention that when you connect the adapter even to the router lan ports it sinks up to 100 MB/s. This indicates a defective cable. To test the use of cable that you used to connect to a modem to connect to the lan router and see what it connects to.

  • RE2000 with router X 1000

Hi, I'm basically a beginner with routers and repeaters. I have a router DSL X 1000 and RE2000 extender (wireless working). I'll put up using the CD that came with the boxes. The router and the extender work well. However, I have a problem. When I am connected with the Repeater and I ping the main router, I get like a spike of ping, something like 3,3,5,2,1700. Sometimes, it happens too often and speeds of the internet on my Pc is so slow I can't open a Web page. If I unplug the Repeater and plug directly into the router, ping becomes normal (2,3,2,14,3,2...). If I access the Repeater from my internet browser and ping the router by using the interface of linksys, Spike even appears. Also other devices, even ping results. The Repeater and the router are also on the same line of sight. I hope you can help me, I'm sorry if a solution has already been mentioned on the forums. Thank you

Hi Pocklain. Do you feel the spike of ping in all wireless computers? I suggest that you upgrade both the Extender and the firmware on the router. Moving devices will also help. Move the router in a central place and place the Extender to halfway between the router and the wireless remote devices and avoid physical as much as possible obstacles.

  • Nook Color ereader & connectivity problems with router WRT610N

I recently bought a new Nook color ereader for my wife. As long as a network administrator, I thought that this would be an easy task to configure the ereader to connect with my Linksys WRT610N router on the 2.4 Ghz band. But I'm running problems when connecting. The question seems to have intermittent connection problems where the meals seem to see the wireless network, authenicates, tries to get an IP address, then connects for a short period or removes the signal very quickly while being right on top of the router with the device.

By the recommendations of various forums of Nook, I had the best luck with the following...

    2.4 Ghz band settings

    SSID: NookNetwork

    Channel width: 20 GHZ

    Standard channel: 9

    SSID Broadcast: enabled

    Security mode: WPA2 Personal

    Encryption: AES

    Passphrase: set out

    Key renewal: 3600

    UPNP: disabled

    RTS: default

    Defragmentation: default

    Tag: default

However, the problem still resides in an intermittent connection to the wireless network. I also tried various arrangements of the channel to both channels 1, 6 and 11 with my best cponnecting chance to channel 9. I also played with the security and disabled all together and have plugged but always file (will not however run the unsecured network). Also try a tag value of 75, a framework of fragmentation of 2306 and 2307 RTS setting. My computer laptop while run and connect properly.

I use the latest software updated both on the color of the corner. I am at the end and have searched high and low to get suggestions, and have not yet reached a compatible connection. Please help... Thank you! And my wife thank you in advance! Smiles!

  • I can't connect to wifi with router WRT54G2 v1 with Windows 7

Hi everyone: I have a Linksys WRT54G2 V1 and since I bought my new laptop with Windows 7 I can't access wifi.

I have another laptop computers equipped with Windows Vista and a PC with Windows XP that connect perfectly, but with Windows 7 gives me error when loading of the password.

I update the firmware to version 1.0.04)is (present the latest version I found on the site of cisco), but still does not work.

I have try the cat with the help of Cisco and told me that he was no longer under warranty...

Can you tell me how to solve this problem?

Thank you very much for your help!

Of course, disable the security on the router completely for now.  Now try to connect without security.  Once completed and verified go back and add the security on of WPA2-AES with a new password and try again.
