Right aligned negative numbers 2-line display

Hello

I have a panelStretchLayout and in the side of the bottom, I have a panelGroupLayout with a right and a presentation of the horizontal Halign.
In the panelGroupLayout, I have an outputText that is bound to a display object field that contains a negative value - 15 '000' 000.00

The outputText is display its value on two lines, for example:
-
15000000
If I change Halign left, the display is correct for example:
- 15000000
I tried different models and values in the af: convertNumber which is located in the outpText but I can't get a properly
aligned right negative number on one line...

Anyone have any ideas?

Paul,
just checked it. You're right, the output wraps two online when the text you specify (I could reproduce it with text only "xxx yyy").
Looks like a bug to me.
Workaround: set the NoWrap property to true and should show the text on a single line. Here's my test code:

    I posted a similar question a while ago I think that substances or Peter replied, but darn if I can find the thread. At that time, they provided a script that does a GREP search, find a sentence that starts with a number and its replacement by a tab. I still have the script, but for some reason, it does not properly with my new table of contents page layout. It must insert a tab on the left page number (page numbers are to the left table of contents entries) and force the numbers right aligned so that a single-digit right page number aligns with the right edge of a two-digit page number.

    Find: ^ (\d+)
    Change to the: \t$1

    What is happening in the new table of contents, this is the script is a figure and inserts a tab to the left of the page number. Page numbers are moving to the right, but they do not align right. They are further to the right, but they themselves numbers correspond to the left.

    I'm puzzled as to why the script does not work on this new layout. Now I use CS4 and it still works on the former route. Nothing terribly different about the new layout except that the column is much closer, and there are several columns threaded in the TOC instead of a long column and the chapter titles do not have page numbers (but all other entries have page numbers.)

    We should probably set the tabulator in your paragraph style: a tab aligned right for the numbers, followed by a tab stop that is aligned to the left to the text that follows this number. (I guess that there is a tab after the number.)

    I wondered if it would be that simple.  It seems that the United States and Hong Kong are the only ones who use the media for negative numbers.  The Australian currency displayed as you wish.  Maybe you can go into the XML Source and change the line $z, zz9.99 | () $z, zz9.99) $z , zz9.99.  This is how the Australian looks... would need a few tests well.

    Or maybe you can have the hidden decimal field and display a text field with a calculation as DecimalField.formattedValue.replace(/[()]/g,"");. " Do you need to align the decimal points?

    I have a script that lists the names of bookmark, and then the Page number after the bookmark as follows:

    What I would like the script to achieve is to list the bookmarks and then align Page numbers to the right of the pdf instead of mixed together.

    Please can someone tell if it is possible to do it in javascript?

    The purpose of the report is seriously flawed. Beside the known bug page break in version 9 there are many other issues, such as the issue of alignment.

    The best solution I found that it was to place the page numbers on a new line then align them with dash and raise.

    Use the conditional formatting.

    Select the range of cells you want to format, and then open cell formatter:

    You can change the color of the labels. That could make it a little clearer that it is not negative.

  • How can I keep right-aligned to left and paragraphs together on the same line?

    I am currently composing a menu. Basically, I want the title of dish to be aligned to the left and aligned price right, but on the same line. I can achieve the effect by typing in a shift + tab after the text of the title of the dish and then insert the price, but I'd rather have two styles of separate paragraphs, so that I can adjust the world to see what looks good. can I get the effect by adjusting the character of price from the price database and move it to the top, but then if I need to make changes in price, I find it a pain when trying to get the cursor in the right place in situations where a base line is significantly changed.

    Back in time (to Ventura!), I could just remove the line break after the style 'Dish title' and the 'price' would be upwards to the same line, but I can't seem to be able to do this to the CS6.

    Any ideas?

    You can use a table, but I think that a single paragraph with a character style nested to manage the different formatting for the price is more flexible.

    Is it possible (in InDesign 5.5) to create a numbered list in a paragraph style that makes the numbers right aligned, in order to align a two-digit number to the right, the space between the number and the text being equal whether a number of one or two digits? I can do it manually with two tabs, but the bullets & dialogue of numbering in paragraph Options of Style only allows for the position of a tab. It would be useful to be able to automate this type of numbering.

    I have an RTF template that formats a report to output HTML, PDF, Excel and Excel2000.

    I want to see negative numbers in square brackets, without a hyphen, by example-2568 as (2568) for the purpose of accounting reports.

    I tried different solutions to this problem that I found,

    #, ##0;(#,##0) is not good because it only works in HTML or PDF format

    #,##0_);" (« #, ## 0 ») "also not good that the format does not seem to be recognized.

    I saw another post that is to make a conditional script on the number and the concatenation in brackets, but I can do it in SQL cast to varchar type data extraction, treat numbers as strings.

    Is there an identifier of real formatting which works in all types of output files or is it a feature not supported?

    Did you try to use the Force LTR and select the type as text. (assuming that the value in the XML file is "(2658)")

    No, but it is possible to create this look.

    Procedure:

    Open a table.

    Format > table

    Check the alternative line color. The yellow value.

    Click the form button, select the rectangle.

    Click the shape to select it.

    Format > Style

    Set the fill color to green.

    The border value without border.

    Move the shape to align with the upper left corner of the table.

    Drag the handle at the bottom right of the form to the lower right of the table.

    Go to organize > Send to back (or backward and repeat until the form is behind the table, and the Green shape is visible through the non colored lines).

    Note that the form is independent of the table. If the lines are added to the table, alternating lines will continue to have the yellow filling, as it has been applied to the table itself, but the lines between indicate white background, until the shape is expanded to match the size of the table.

    Select the Table (by clicking on the 'target' at the top left.

    Go arrange > Send backward. (Repeat if necessary until the form is in the front of the table)

    Select the shape.

    Resized according to the table.

    Go arrange > Send backward.

    I followed the tabs tut in the CC tut who says line right to the top of the box of the tab with the text block, click align decimal numbers and click where you want to go, I get the orange arrow, but nothing aligns. The UTU uses a table for example, is the only way it will work?

    If you do just a numbered list, you only need to use tabs to align on the decimal point. Simply insert a fixed space called a figure space.

    Make sure your numbers are of equal width. Since the character or control panel menu > OpenType, make sure Tabular Lining is set for numbers:

    Then in front of 1, 2, etc. Insert a space figure (Type > insert a space > Figure space). White space is the width of any character. You can use several spaces figure if you were with a very large number.

    I use a paragraph style is aligned to the right. This is the paragraph defining the cell style.

    You can set the position of the tab within the paragraph style, so no, you do not need to edit each cell, but you do not have to use the text aligned to the left, and if you want that all the place line numbers correctly you need to use a font with tabular, rather than numbers proportional to make them all the same width (and for tables rather than oldstyle figures is probably also a better choice).

    When you look at the tabs formatting options that you have left, right, centered and aligned decimals (which can be any character of your choice, but you want the period). When you use the decimal tab aligned, everything you type will behave as if the tab is a tab that is aligned to the right - it will start at the position of the tab and move to the left with each additional character - until you type the character that you chose for the alignment. From there text will move to the right of the alignment. This aims to make things like the columns of numbers with decimals.

    In a table, the tab character is implied, so if the only thing in the cell is your setting of the tab in the style number is sufficient and it will work just as soon as you start typing. If there is other text before alignment numbers that must be the left hard, however, you will need to type, then manually insert a tab in the menu Insert special characters (or create a new shortcut key to insert tabs in tables) to force the text to the left margin and keep the numbers aligned on the decimal point. You can't just hit tab within a cell to add the tab - it reports ID to pass to the next cell.

    I'm a math major Bachelor's degree. Sometimes I use a projector to check my calculations. However, when calculating the modulo (%) negative numbers by using spotlight, the calculator returns inaccurate answers. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or why it could be (apart from the bad coding)?  For example, it returns,

    -2 %3 =-2 and -1 = - 1 %3.

    However, if you were to Google "-2 %3 ', or calculate this in Wolfram Alpha, R, C, Python, etc. you see:

    -2 %3 = 1 and -1 %3 = 2.

    These are indeed the right answers like:

    -2 = 3*(-1) + 1et -1 = 3*(-1) + 2

    I submitted via the official channel on this subject, but I thought I'd post here to draw attention to the problem.  I hope Apple solves this problem for the large number of students who use their products is not misled.

    It depends on the definition of the % operator. You expect it to be an operator "rest". Spotlight uses the same library as Xcode which defines it as a true modulo operator.
