ringtone on my iPhone 6 is defective

The ringtone on my iPhone 6 is defective.  Maybe it's a coincidence, but I have downloaded IOS 9.3.2 upgrade 2 days ago.  Now it does still not sound even if the ringer is on.

Is there a moon in the upper right corner?

That means do not mind, it's on.

Turn on or off the do not disturb

When do not disturb is activated, a Crescent Moon , or half-moon, an icon will appear in the status bar. There are two ways to turn on or off the do not disturb:

  • Tap Settings > do not disturb. Choose the manual option to activate the do not disturb sign now or set a schedule.
  • Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Control Center. Tap on the Crescent Moon.

  • Cannot drag AAC ringtones to the iPhone 6

So there's iTunes decided to swap my record library iTunes for something that he created, so I lost most of my music (later everything came with the boring exclamation point next to it, feel stupid iTunes cannot locate the files - redirect tried it back but that did not work). SO, since I am free three hours today (little I didn't know it would take approximately eight hours), I went ahead and resynced to create a new library.

Lost most of the music on my iPhone but I can re-import ALL my CDs later, I guess. What I have in my phone REALLY are custom ringtones. I currently have around thirty of them as *.mp3s and am familiar with the creation of versions AAFC using iTunes - BUT now every time I have create AAC version and try to drag a lining to my camera, box appears around the entire device on the left side window, shakes and shimmies for one second and will not let me transfer the ringtone.

The phone held all these rings before this last re-sync, so I know it's possible. Does anyone know why I can't drag these now?

Thanks for any help. Sorry to say, but I hate iTunes...

    Tom

    Hey Mr. Tom Foolery.

Sorry about your headache with the music. I took to the look and think this may help you with AAC files is transformed into ringtones iTunes and your phone can recognize. Let me know if it helps.

  • How do I move a ringtone on my iPhone

I used the ringtone app on my Mac to create a ringtone.  He puts the new ringtone in iTunes for Mac, but I see no way to transfer to my phone or if it will appear on the list of music, of which I know I could drag and drop.

It is in the section "Ringtones" iTunes on your computer?

If so, then synchronize it as you would for any other thing.

Open iTunes, plug in the iPhone, select what you want, sync.

  • iPhone 6 biggest defects

I bought my iPhone 6 more in early June to replace my iPhone 4. I restored the backup of my 4 on my iPhone again to me 6 more. As my 4 had memory problems I have not hardley all the apps so I did not discover the problem for a few weeks, when I started the download and use of applications on the new phone.

Here are some of the things that makes my phone:

-periodically abandon any connection either cannot send/receive texts, web pages not loading

-L' screen freezes, nothing responds to touch.

    -The phone restarts

the connection of freezing/not responding no/no happened several times where I have to restart my phone several times per minute to just send a single text. After the reboot it usually works well for a little while. I noticed that it is worse if it restarts and applications of music/audiobook open there.

Now, oddly, all of these symptoms disappear and the phone acts normal when, after a reboot, for some reason, the wifi is grayed out and it cannot be switched back on if I restart the phone still sometimes the wifi is not dimmed and still have problems.

I tried to restart the phone and restore the back upward, I deleted my account Exchange e-mail, delivered in the phone market 100 s of time. The only time that there is a difference is when WIFI is grated outside.

IF anyone has delt with this problem I would really appreciate the help. Thank you very much.

The backup that you restore your iPhone can be impaired.

Try to fully configure your phone from scratch and not use the backup at all.  If your phone still has problems, then it is probably a hardware problem and you will need to bring the phone to Apple for the assessment

  • iPhone 6s - iOS 9.3.2 - ringtone help

    Greetings.

I'm looking for help to put a ringtone on my iPhone. I searched a bit on the forum and found a few things useful and followed precisely, but I guess quite precisely. That's what I've done so far.

-Change the music to be 30 seconds or less. (For me it is exactly 30 seconds.)

    -Create a VAC for her

-Locate the ACC again to music, rename the extension to. M4A to M4r and move on the desktop to find easily.

-.m4r moved office to the iTunes library and sync with iPhone.

-.m4r moved office and placed in the section "Ditties" iPhones the phone. (It is grayed out when in this tab)

    -Phone synchronized once more after.

However I don't see it in settings > sounds > ringtones on my iPhone.

I read that it is not possible for the 6s have custom ringtones iPhone. I hope they are wrong. * This is my second iPhone, my first iPhone G3 was when they have been rounded back.

Thank you for reading, forward responses to help me get out of this dilemma.

    Try this stuff:

If you use Windows, make sure that you are able to view the file extension.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/865219

Sync the iPhone with iOS 9.x, you will need computer iTunes 12.3 or later version

1 Select a title (.mp3 or .m4a) from your iTunes music library

    2. file > read the information about the selected title (Windows edit > Get Info)

    3. in the dialog box choose the Options tab

    4. set start and end time (if not more than 35 seconds will not work)

    5. a dialog box.

    6. now command click on the title (right click) and choose Create AAC Version

Note: If you don't have version AAFC create, go to the file menu > Preferences... (Windows edit > Preferences...) > General > import settings... > import using: AAC encoder.

    7. When this is done, drag the create new title on the desktop.

8 remove newly create title in iTunes. <-this step is important

9 rename the title on your desktop to ringtone. m4a into a ringtone. m4r

    10. drag and drop it into iTunes

    Now you have a ringtone.

Make sure it is selected in iTunes > tones to sync with your new iPhone.

  • Make a ringtone on new iTunes - Help!

I'm doing a song I recently bought into a ringtone for my iPhone 6 s, and each unique tutorial directs turn you into an AAC file, but with the new iTunes, when you right click on the song there no option to turn it into an AAC file. In fact, when I checked the file type of the song, its listed as a "purchased AAC audio file", then, what do you do for a song is already an AAC? Also, I chose a section of the song, which is less than thirty seconds, he saved and still even if he doesn't play that this article, still lists the song duration as full 6 min, not the new article 28 sec, so I even when I duplicate and turn it into a .m4r and do all the other steps , it will not transfer because it is too long.

    It's really frustrating! Help!

I do not use the new iTunes so I can't test anything.  You've always been able to convert AAC AAC; for example, when wanting a lower bitrate copy.

  • iPhone 7 tones don't synchronize from a backup of the iPhone 6

I've just updated to iphone 7 + a 6. I got ringtones on my iPhone for the years I've done previously. But now I can't have them on the new 7 +. I made a backup of the 6, but they did not transfer. When I plug the 6 I see them in "ringtones" in iTunes, but I can't bring it to drag-and - drop or move anywhere in a library in iTunes to put them on the 7 +. I'm really frustrated! Someone knows how to fix?

your tone should already by in your ITunes library...  I guess that are customized to you have created... you should be able to synchronize them via iTunes on your new phone.

  • Text your ceased to work on the iPhone 6.

I have a tone custom for text messages I've had for several years. It suddenly stopped working and I cannot understand why. The strange thing is that it works normally in iTunes on my computer and it is synced on my phone. In fact, other custom text tones are still working as usual. It's just what I've always used. Can anyone work why this might happen?

When I go into the settings in the tones, I can type others and they play but the one I've always used is silent when I press on it. I fist he discovered when I found text messages in waiting for me but never heard of the alert. When I go to that tone in iTunes on my computer, it plays as usual. He made me very puzzled. It's a great tone and I don't want to lose him.

    Hello marc-leon.

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I know have a problem with a tone alert on your iPhone, it's not what you expect. If I understand correctly, you may not use or play a ringtone on your iPhone that worked in the past, and the same file in iTunes still works. Good news is that you should be able to use iTunes to fix this.

First, connect your iPhone to iTunes on your computer. Then use the synchronization options to remove this alert sounds on your iPhone by unchecking the box next to it. Click on the button apply, then confirm that the tone is deleted from your iPhone once the synchronization is complete. Once the tone is removed then it re - sync from iTunes on your iPhone and try it again on your iPhone.

Sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer through a USB port

    See you soon!

  • Should switch from the iPhone to the new iPhone 5 7?

I got my iPhone 5 in 2013 and it dawns on 3 years in September. The phone has developed a bulge of the screen when the screen starts to bulge and make out because of the gas discharge battery. Still, everything works fine except the battery life. I have a Mophie juice which still left in it, so it does not help when I charge my phone when I can't locate an outlet to charge.

My question is should I get the iPhone 7 immediately when it's released next month or wait until the iPhone 5 completely dies or when the Mophie is short of costs?

What you buy and when is entirely up to you. Nobody here can recommend what you need. However, if it was me I would not continue using an iPhone with a defective battery.

  • Custom self ringtone

Is there a simple way to put a ringtone on an iPhone. Having the new SE but cab't seem to be able to put a ringtone on it or can it even be done?

To add a custom ringtone, you either make a purchase on the phone via iTunes Store, or you can add a ringtone to your iTunes library and then synchronize it to the phone. Custom ringtones can be a bit of a chore, and I would say a search if you do not know. There are a number of different methods to create.
