Mail - now completely destroyed me, help appreciated!

My SSD on MBAir became full so I decided to make a few mailboxes, export to an external drive and then delete it.

During this process, which was fine, something was wrong to export a large box and mail crashed. When I tried to re-opening, he came for a few seconds and then crashed again. The report said it was because I got this:

An EWS file ID string had a corresponding mailbox name

I did some research and decided to import a library of backup / Time Machine mail.

He continued for centuries, then said I didn't have enough space.

So I copied the file 93GB "mail" on a hard drive, removed from my Mac and tried again. Still not enough space! I had released 143 GB so how is I don't have enough space for a 93 GB file?

Tried reloading the copy placed on the Disc... same problem.

Fortunately I can still get e-mail on my phone, but it is completely trashed on Mac.

Does anyone have ideas how I can get back 5 years worth of email?

Hello Duchy777,

Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know how important getting the old mailbox back is for you! If I understand correctly, you cannot restore this box the letters of your Virtual Machine or other backups and get errors like not enough space or "an EWS file ID string had a corresponding mailbox name." To refine and resolve this problem, I propose these 2 steps to start:

1 tried using import mail option and try to import the box mailbox:

Address postal (El Capitan): import or export the mailboxes

2. given that the messages are still show on your iPhone, which means that they are still on the mail server. You may be able to use the rebuild Mail option is to replicate messages to your Mac again:

Address postal (El Capitan): rebuild the mailboxes

See you soon!
