  Hello DJSZCZEP.  I understand you are having some problems with control of the brightness of your laptop in Windows 8.

  HP is still drivers for the update for Windows 8.   Most laptops that have been purchased after October 1, 2011 must be supported at the time.  Here a link to more information on the upgrade to Windows 8 and HP.

  The support page for your laptop does not currently listed drivers for Windows 8.  This does not mean that Windows 8 does not work on your laptop.  This simply means that some features and functions may not be available. Advanced features like the brightness control can be handled by the driver itself and require a complete driver for features.  Your the tender specifications lists the video card like the ATI Radeon 6850 M.  Here are the drivers for the 64-bit version of Windows 8.  Try using these drivers and tell me if this solves the problem.

  Keep an eye on the support page of your product for updates, including drivers for Windows 8.  I hope it's useful.

  I use EOS 600 d for the past three years. I was and I am not able to auto focus in creative modes. I actually thought that there is no installation of the auto focus in creative modes. Only when I attended a workshop in Chennai yesterday, I got to know the automatic update facility is available in creative modes too.  I tried with three lenses and in all cases autofocus does not work in the creative modes only. In basic mode, it works well. I browsed the forum and found to RESET. How a reset should be done? Someone please explain. I can't find any updated firmware for 600 d.

  But the thing is, after using it for a few days, pls, make sure the bios or driver quickset issues are resolved on the next update, on their compatibility. Quick setting works fine now, but the bios updated makes driver it is unnecessary because DellPowerManagement does not work amd icons quick adjustment of the numeric keypad and fn key doesn't happen. Aparently, the powermanagememt can be woroed in the menu of the bios and quickset icon doesn't show, but guess on the behavior, you can see if the keypad lock and fnlock is enabled or disabled. So I would say users do not use bios 1.2.4 update, better, use 1.2.3 that works smoothly and with all the features.

  Select "Change the default settings for the media or deivces"
  There should be a box in the upper left entitled: "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices".
  Place a check in this box and then click on the Save"" button.
  You will also see a long list of options 'media '. two of them are named: blank CD and DVDs.
  You can try the default or set an action from the drop-down list and still "Save" the changes.

  Does anyone know why the Auto-Lock setting is not to be found when you use the search at the top of the main settings page.

  From time to time, when I'm on a conference call, I like to set the auto-lock on 'Never', so I can leave the visible main phone screen to mute/one-mute the call without having to unlock the phone. I have the memory of a goldfish, so I do not remember that it is in the section "Viewing and brightness" and that is why I use the search at the top of the main settings page field. I would normally enter 'Auto', and it would be "Auto-Lock" for me.
