  I use Robohelp 8 HTML to create a Help Center for our call for various groups of the Center. I currently use the WebHelp output to a browser-based tool. The challenge facing us is a lot of feeback that "research is too hard" and our system is too complex.

  I looked into the atmosphere, specifically using Air installed locally, as this would allow bookmarks to be defined by each user, and make comments. This may help the user to customize our system according to their needs and provide feedback. The challenge is that our content changes on a daily basis and it seems that pushing through updates isn't smooth as help browser based systems.

  I'm looking to RoboHelp Server 8, and it seems that the report and the 'improvement loop"may help determine what content is frequently consulted. We looked to create small projects and deploy them to different groups instead of a company-wide support system.

  Indeed, the research is too hard. I used to have a similar setup and the situation with a call center that requires a quick (and easy) access to information on hundreds of different products. Indeed, if I offered him only to find they would have crucified me.

  I came across this incredible technology that allowed them to type a few letters and instantly locate any information they wanted. And it was eons before AIR or Google or the RoboHelp w. server entered in the image.

  I pushed too much content on a daily basis and my users like my system.

  Oh, I guess you could ask you what I did to make this happen. Yes, this can be useful, huh?

  I created something called Index and it filled with useful terms that makes sense for my users. Make an index correctly and teach your users how to use it. I guarantee you that it will outperform AIR or Google or RoboHelp Server on any day of the week.

• Thunderbird 24 pop server authentication

  I use Time Warner Cable (TWC) and Thunderbird (24.4.0) running OS X on a macbook air 10.9.2

  Until about 01:45 east coast U.S. today, I could send and receive on my two accounts in Thunderbird, which all worked fine for the last 2 years 1/2. I can always send and receive emails fine with their web client. I can receive receive in Thunderbird now, but cannot send. The failure of sending began with one account and now affects both.

  At first, I got a message error ro1007005 failed to authenticate to an account, then the other. After

  After more than an hour with TWC we confirmed that my SMTP settings are correct view of TWC as follows

  Server SMTP = mail.twc.com Port = 587 = password, transmitted unsecured way authentication method.

  However, I now get the following:

  Whenever I try to send, I get the following:

  The message send failed.
  The message could not be sent using SMTP server mail.twc.com for some unknown reason. Please check that your SMTP server settings are correct and try again or contact your network administrator.

  Any help would be accepted with gratitude.

  Have you contacted TWC to see if they have some sort of failure?

• NTP server authentication

  I'll put up the master NTP server on Catalyst 4000 series switch. I want to implement authentication between the server and the client. I have the following commands is not working.

  Server:

  NTP-1 xxx md5 authentication key

  authenticate the NTP

  NTP master 6

  NTP max-associations 10

  Client:

  NTP-1 xxx md5 authentication key

  authenticate the NTP

  key to NTP server 10.0.0.1 1

  I think there are two separate issues here and they are not really related to each other. It is a question if your switch must be configured as master ntp. If the switch is configured as master ntp, then it will offer his version of time that it is authoritative or not (either correct or not). I think it is a bad idea and hope that this is not something that you did intentionally.

  The other question is why the switch is not hours of instruction from the marine server. It seems that there are several reasons why this can happen. It is possible that the NTP requests you are not to get on the server or the server responses aren't you. My guess is that it probably is, since the show ntp association does not show a reference to the server of the Navy clock. Or it is possible that the NTP response is you but there's not enough variability in traffic through the network switch is not able to synchronize with the server. I saw a customer network when it's a problem for a while.

  I would say the next step could be to debug ntp package and see if you send to the correct address and see if you have found answers.

  I'm just started to try to understand and the CIS. The question I'm trying to answer is: why when trying to initialize the CIS, we do not credentials. I looked at the example and CheckInFile.java for example, I do not see a routine that asks the customer to identify or authenticate.
  
  I see that in the SIS API, the client must connect / authenticate but not in the CIS. What did I miss?

  You will not miss anything, it's actually a really cool feature. Default WHAT CIS connects to your content server, much the same way that the web server is on port 4444. When you live like that, you can ignore the authentication and just get a username. The content server must be pre-configured, but to allow a connection from the server you use CIS, although. You probably run it local on the same machine the server content, so you do not encounter any questions, but if you you connect from a remote server is ip must be included in the security filter in the config.cfg file server ip. CIS can be configured to connect to the web server rather than on the content server case you need credentials.

  I tried to send an e-mail message using UTL_MAIL on Oracle 10 g (10.2.0.1.0), but get the error:

  I have run utlmail.sql and prvtmail.plb connected in SYSDBA and set SMTP_OUT_SERVER.
  
  We have recently changed our email provider and a new requires authentication for the outgoing SMTP server, where the message that I get, but so far I have not found something on how to send the user name password to the procedure of 'send', in documentation or in previous discussions or other resources.

  Not possible using UTL_MAIL, but if you roll your own using UTL_SMTP (which is what UTL_MAIL is written on the top) you can use the code fragment in Metalink Note 201639.1 to connect to a SMTP server using AUTH LOGIN.

• KB931125 Rompt Web server authentication by smart card...

  Windows 2008 Enterprise SP2 IIS7

  The Web site is authenticated against AD with smart card.  Works great... until KB931125 is installed.  As soon as this update of root certificate is installed, all customers get 403.7 error.  I'm going back the VM to the snapshot before KB931125 was installed and everything works well again.  It don't seem to be a way to delete/cancel the damage inflicted by this update of root certificate.

  I found this post: http://msmvps.com/blogs/bradley/archive/2007/03/01/warning-problems-with-root-certificates-update-kb931125.aspx and cleaned on the certificates, but it is not always correct it.

  Please notify.

  It turns out that I'm not a not delete simply not enough of the root certificates.  It works now after the removal of about 1/2 of them.

  Hey Danny,

  If you have activated the LDAP authentication and integration with CWMS (via CUCM), then your users profile directory using LDAP credentials to authenticate on CWMS. It is not possible to disable the requirement for active profile users authentication.

  There are two other user accounts on CWMS management methods:

  1. LDAP via SAML 2.0 integration (Single Sign-On), but that you have IIP provider accessible from the internet, would require that authentication would be on this end. You can read more here:

With local user profiles, user accounts are created manually or by importing of CUCM (you can still have the integration Directory to import profiles of CUCM, but requiring users to use created locally passwords on CWMS (do not enable LDAP authentication)), and passwords are created manually by end users locally on CWMS. • vCenter Server Authentication

  Hi all

  Is not a major problem, but just a matter of configuration.  I'm in transition my new place of work to run on the vCenter Server Appliance 5.0 to vCenter Server 5.1.  The issue I'm having is that on the old device users can just connect with their user name (e.g. BobJohnson), but on my new server, they are required to use their complete credentials of the AD ([email protected]).  

  As I said not a major problem, I'm just glad that the AD link works without problem.  It is more just me trying to make the transition as transparent as possible by not requiring my users to connect with a different user name that they do not.

  Can someone point me in the right direction to activate vClient to authenticate with the short user name?  I don't know how the guy in front of me was is that it works.

  Compatibility is between 1.8.x and 1.9.x. Well, scripts should work with 1.8.6 or 1.8.7.

  The rails application was built with Rails 2.3.4, but Rails 2.3.5 should work too (if you change the version required in config/environment.rb).

  In any case, I just installed Ruby 1.9.x on my mac and run a quick test. The only error reported where the case/when and in a call to the REXML API.

  I enclose a version update here, if you want to do a quick test (but again, I only run a basic test that calls all the basic parameters API).

  So RADIUS returns an Access_Accept and the switch treats it as a rejection of access and little esteem RADIUS as dead.

  As for free using the Radius and cisco-av pairs. Please can you activate debug on switch output and reproduce the problem with the attempt to authentiation of customer:

  As a result the customer authentication event, also benefit from the following switch:

  I met problems with respect to the case of the pair of cisco-av. assignment of vlan for example work using the sensitive tiny "tunnel-private-group-id (# 81) = vlanid ' instead of ' tunnel-private-group-ID (# 81) = vlanid.

  When testing with the 'tunnel-private-group-ID(#81) = vlanid', I get an error:

  RADIUS/DECODE: parse cisco unknown vsa 'tunnel-private-group-ID' - FAIL

  So the 2nd link, with the changes:
  Cisco-avpair = "tunnel-type(#64) = VLAN (13).
  Cisco-avpair = "tunnel-medium-type(#65) = 802 media (6).
  Cisco-avpair = "tunnel-private-group-id(#81) = vlanid.
